I own a 1993 Motorhome. Less than 2,300 miles ago Oceanside truck service did over 4,000.00 dollars with of repairs. The repairs were replacing power steering pump, master cylinder and hoses and Hydro-Booster. And of course fresh power steering fluid. Oceanside truck service charges $53.00 for power steering fluid, Wow you spend 4,000.00 and get ripped off in the lousy work they did and they have to screw you by charging 53.00 for power steering fluid. Anyway 2,300 miles later I have my Motorhome in a shop with 7 specialist all certified mechanics and all of them are telling me that the parts Oceanside truck service charged for have not been replaced. And that only the hoses and fluid were changed. What a bunch of thiefs. When I called them I was told to bad nothing we can do. What a joke. For all of you who wrote good reviews you must be family and friends because there is no way that they are honest and fair people working there. Amazing for a shop in business for 20 or more years they only have 20 good reviews what does that tell you?

Seemed like very nice people. Got belts done..then upon separate return (estimate) for bad master cylinder..wanted to pull everything..and that's without looking at rears.. $1800. Called back perhaps to get front/master done as new issue: .Vehicle hard to shift. Call 1: Answer machine Call 2: Answer machine Call 3: Answer machine Get the point? If you don't want to service the vehicle...@$125/HR...say so.. Don't be Childish and ignore phone call You were highly recommended. No way. Seem to choose their customers. Stay Cleat

Mike provided the part I needed. He knew what was wrong with my RV parking brake and he helped me save money. He also referred me to someone to fix the levellers. The referral diagnosed the system and educated me on it at no charge. Thank you, Mike and Emily!

Great shop! Tom's been in business for over 25 years and when nit comes to diesel, big rigs & motorhomes, these guys know their stuff. Mike is Tom's right hand man, one of the best techs I've met. Mike and his crew get the job done, that must be why this place is always packed. I highly recommend Oceanside Truck Service for any diesel related issues.

Just took my sons older diesel pusher motorhome to Emily and Mike for a safety check since my son drives with handcontrols and wanted to make sure the brakes were solid. They did an excellent job making sure everything was good and safe. Highly recommend them both.

Nicest people. Emily is the best. They did a great job with our '98 Motorhome at a very fair price. Would feel very good to bring it there again for any trouble.

I have taken my F-250 (Powerstroke 6.0) over the last few years and Emily has always provided me with nothing less than top notch customer service! Both Mike and Jason have worked on my truck on numerous occasions and completed all work that I requested and/or needed, and they never tried to replace parts that were not bad. I have been a customer for several years and will continue to be! I still continue to have my truck serviced and repaired here even though I live in the Los Angeles area now, because it is hard to find a shop around here that is trustworthy and reasonably priced. I did read all the other reviews. It is unfortunate that some customers were not satisfied and left the bad/negative reviews, but I have never experienced anything stated in the bad reviews. If you have a diesel that needs routine maintenance, repair work or upgrades, I highly recommend Oceanside Truck & RV Repair! The whole team has been very professional, pleasant, friendly and courteous every time I go there.

Emily was great! From setting the appointment to calling with questions. Repair was insanely fast! Like less than 4 hours from drop off to pickup! Mitch was great at pickup and even had some evidence of what caused my leak. Equally impressed with the pricing of parts and labor. No over priced parts or super inflated labor. Just a good, honest shop! Very refreshing. I'll be sending my business here, and more!

"Please read my review"..... I have been living in O'side since early 2024 when my F250 diesel went into a reduce power mode with a loud engine noise. After Google reviewing many truck shops in the area, I towed the truck to Oceanside Truck Repair for an analysis of the problem. The next day they called to tell me that the engine had high oil in the pan, and it was diluted with diesel fuel. I suspected the piston had a crack, and the shop tech confirmed that there was some major engine damage. So, after asking all of the hard questions, the cost of replacing the engine far exceed the value of the truck. My truck was dead. The owners were so kind to me, and they allowed me to store my truck until I could obtain my out of state title. Finally, after 3 weeks, I was able to dispose of the truck. The owners never ask for any storage fees, due to my desperate situation. As far as I am concerned, the owners are kind and trustworthy, as common people and business owners. I highly recommend Oceanside Truck Repair. I trust them.

The only shop that would take my truck. Turned down by 4 others, they took it in, and worked with my schedule including pulling my trans after not originally planning on it while I was on leave and asked them to do it for a rebuild. Very friendly, and easy to work with. Knew they were the ones when I asked about parts and they gave me the same numbers as a different shop, and recommended not doing un necessary tasks.

While heading out of town to visit family for the 2024 Xmas holiday the transmission linkage broke on our 2013 Winnebago We were unable to access all gear selections properly. I stopped in without an appointment and they immediately took a look and said they were familiar with the issue and within a hour I was back on the road. I was very fortunate to have gone to this shop and will forever be grateful for the service that they provided. I happily paid for the one hour of labor and offered a tip that was refused. Good folks in my opinion. David Jones

We were visiting family from Pennsylvania when our truck had a check engine light. We checked google reviews and called Oceanside Truck Service. What a relief to find such a reputable shop with very knowledgeable Mechanics. They diagnosed that there was a problem with our Turbo on the diesel engine. They took our truck in and verified the diagnosis and had parts ordered. They took very good care of our truck while in their possession and got it fixed. The final bill was a lot less than the estimate. The only hold up was Dodge taking their time getting the parts to them. Quality, Reputable, Honest and really nice people.

AMAZING! I couldn’t be more thrilled to have been fortunate enough to be referred to these guys by a good friend of mine after having terrible luck trying to find a good shop to work on my diesel trucks here in Ramona. The owner and his wife are amazing and they took awesome care of my truck and I couldn’t be any happier. I don’t trust many people to touch my vehicles and often times repair whatever’s broken myself but when i bought a truck 20 years newer than my old one I knew I needed a knowledgable and trustworthy shop to take care of it and I’m beyond stoked I decided to listen to my friend and bring my truck to OTR. Worth their weight in gold!

I wish I read all the negative reviews about this shop before I took my rig to them! As a business owner myself I know how poorly leaving a bad Google Review affects business, so I never do so unless it is absolutely warranted. In this case it is absolutely warranted. I brought my 2003 International 3000 Series Bus into Oceanside Truck & RV Repair on August 14th, 2023. Nothing was wrong with the bus other than the cruise control not working and a few diag lights being on that were not affecting the bus operation in anyway. Having an appointment made 0 sense because my bus sat there for days until they even got the diag computer in there to assess. They charged me $4,200 to literally do nothing. I'm sure the parts they used were second class and after calling a few pro diesel mechanics in town it looks like they charged me 400-500% over what certain parts would cost. In terms of the ICP Sensor, Oil Cooler Seal Kit, and Brake Drums. The drums did not need to be replaced nor did the ICP sensor. The labor they charged me was also was over what should have taken to do these jobs. When I picked up the bus (Aug 21, 2023) the diag lights in question were still on, the cruise control was not functioning and my bus wreaked of cigarette smoke. There were multiple wiring clusters not appropriately placed back in wiring harnesses. There is a box on the dash that has an access point to wiring that was broken and hanging off, because someone who looked at the wiring cluster must have tried to force it off. This was not broken before I dropped my bus off. The carelessness, lack of quality and lack of professionalism for this price is appalling and as a result I will be reporting this business to the BBB. When I spoke to Emily about this she merely said "Well, sir it was working for us." And this was just not true. I drove the bus off the lot and the cruise control still did not work immediately upon getting on the highway. I called her immediately when I left the shop! I had to drive back a day later (another 41mins and expensive diesel both ways in my large bus, on my dime of course) and drop it back off. When I expressed that I was extremely dissatisfied with their service, Emily acted like they would get to it when they could. I expressed that I wasn't leaving until it was fixed and that I'm sticking around. Mike plugged his computer in and realized that whoever redid my rear wheels at their shop did not install the abs sensor correctly and it was pulling a faulty code (again horrible quality of work). They had to redo that and we took the bus on another test drive with his computer plugged in. He demonstrated the cruise control that 'appeared' to work on the drive. I drove off their lot after this and immediately upon getting on the highway between 35-75mph the cruise control again did not function and did not engaged. They charged me $145 for a dismal overall inspection that literally consisted of a few sentences. They charged me $72 TWICE, for plugging in two diag machines and running a literally 30sec scan.... you read that right....they charged me twice. Once for a Cruise Control scan and once for a Transmission scan. Even as these are different scanners this is insane. This work was and is no where near $4,200 in value. I wish I would have read the bad reviews sooner because many people have the same horrible experience with these folks. Do not bring your hard earned money here. I feel manipulated and stole from and this should literally be illegal. They didn't fix any of the things I brought my bus in for and made up a bunch of stories about stuff that didn't need to be fixed. I believe in the genuine goodness of people, but unfortunately in this state people will prioritize profit and greed in many cases. Stay away and get a second or third opinion before you let them charge you anything.

Oceanside Truck & RV is hands-down one of the best diesel shops I’ve ever worked with. From the moment I called, the experience was smooth and professional. Scheduling an appointment was incredibly easy, and their communication throughout the whole process was solid — no guessing, no chasing, no surprises. The team is friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. You can tell immediately that they’re true experts in diesel technology, not just general mechanics. They take the time to explain what they’re seeing, what actually needs attention, and — just as important — what doesn’t. It’s refreshing to deal with a shop that won’t try to upsell or push unnecessary work. Their honesty alone makes them stand out. Once my vehicle was in the shop, the techs went through it carefully and made sure everything was addressed the right way the first time. You can feel the pride they take in their work, and the results show it. If you want a trustworthy, skilled, and genuinely customer-focused diesel shop, Oceanside Truck & RV is the place. Highly recommended.

Being a traveler, there is nothing worse than having to find an honest and reputable shop that treats you fairly. Many have seen me coming from miles away. Everyone knows those stories. NOT HERE!! NOT here. Oceanside Truck is a FANTASTIC experience from the time you call to the time you drive away in your fully operational rig. Emilie and her “friends” as she calls them, are an amazing team of geniuses. Even watching the customers come in and out was exemplary of the heartbeat of this shop. Everyone who came in and out was like a family member. Truly a wonderful thing to experience in a large shop like this. All I can say is I hope I’m close enough to tow when I need help again because I LOVE THIS SHOP!! THANK YOU OCEANSIDE TRUCK & RV REPAIR!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
