Patriot Auto had done a great job with repairs on my old car. They have competitive pricing along with a first responder discount. Emily in the office is very knowledgeable very kind. I appreciate the great work they all do.

So I'm nothing but an honest person and I felt this shop did deserve a review. 1. The customer service was excellent. The receptionist Emily is a great person to work with who clearly knows about cars and how to order parts and what should be replaced in tandem with what. Along with the technician Jason, who I interacted with. Between these two the customer service would be a 10 out of 10 2. I own a car that's hard to find people to work on a Mitsubishi 3000GT. This was the first shop that was willing to take on my repairs and knew how to do the repairs on the car in the springs and I will say hands down. Jason was very knowledgeable on the cars and made me feel comfortable trusting them to work on the car. The work done on the car was great. I have no issues with the car so far and they even broke it down to tell me what needed to be fixed immediately versus what could wait. 3. Outside of the good customer service and good work, the only downfall to this shop is the rates and prices of parts. The shop rate is $197 an hour for a normal mechanic shop. This is kind of absurd but we live in Colorado Springs where it's a military town and it's easy to charge young dumb kids or people in general these high prices due to not many shops being around. The price for parts seem to be so highly marked up and I'm not sure if this is due to the owner marking these prices up, they're sourcing, the 3-year warranty they get on parts, etc. Regardless it makes the jobs way too expensive. For example, in order to replace a mass air flow sensor on my car, they wanted to charge me $500. The part itself can be bought for $80 to $150 and it took me all of 10 minutes to replace the sensor myself. If they lowered the shop rate down to about $140 to 150 an hour and didn't mark up the price of parts so extreme I would give this shop a five star. I found shops in Denver that charge a Shop rate of $120 an hour, specialize working on import cars, and don't mark up their price of parts that would have completed the job that I had done here for almost 1/2 of the price in labor with the same warranties and I'm sure the same workmanship. It's well worth it to shop around. If you have the time to find a shop in Denver, I recommend it as you will save money either trailering or towing a vehicle to Denver to be worked on. To be a veteran owned shop charging these prices and only allowing a max of $100 for mil discount is also a bit insane. Overall great people working for the shop. Knowledgeable, friendly, and amazing people.
