I've been here a few times with various concerns about my vehicles. They are always very nice and professional and it's been different people every time. Last two times I've been in with what I thought were issues turned out to be nothing. I really feel like they are looking out for my best interest vs just making a buck.

Walked in on a Sunday at 4:20pm. Asked if they could put a plug in my tire that’s right outside and actively leaking fast. The guy in charge said that they couldn’t because they were fully booked… they couldn’t do a 5 minute job. So went over to auto zone that’s right beside them and bought a plug kit and did it myself in the parking lot. Thanks for nothing Pep boys in 2473 S Danville St. Abilene TX, 79605. Oh also, they have a sign that says “repair and maintenance prohibited in the parking lot. -Pep Boys” what a joke!

Made an appointment for my daughter’s car to get fixed and they said they have nobody to look at it when she showed up. The guy was also very rude and no help. I would not take my vehicle here!!

My son came in for a new tire after having a blow out 5 hours from home. After 3 hours of waiting he tried to ask several times how much longer it was going to be before it was ready because he still had to drive home. The girls working the counter ignored him twice and walked off when he tried to ask. I tried to call and they will not answer the phone. Just skip this place and go down the road to a different shop.

There service is terrible. 100% do not recommend. I sat in the waiting room for 4 hours. Went to talk to the manager and they walked away with no answer as to why I’m waiting so long. They were unprofessional and rude. Never made wait time clear. All I needed was 1 tire change. I have a 4 hour ride home after. This is the worst service I have ever had.

We had a tire blow out about an hour away from this location. Called this location and the manager said “get here safe and we’ll take care of you” knowing our ETA was about 20 minutes until closing. They made a bad situation as pleasant as one could be, and was our silver lining to the event of a blowout. Thank you!!

I absolutely love this location. Lamanza and RJ helped me save so much money on the things I needed done to my car after having it for 6 years. I was able to even add services I wad getting ready to complete since I saved so much. I will absolutely come back here. They don't take advantage and are so clear and upfront with every bit of work and stayed with me every step of the way. Phenomenal service. I won't go anywhere else!!

Horrible service they replaced my transmission back in July. My transmission went out 2 months later in sep they have had my car for over 3 months and haven’t fixed or replaced it yet and keep giving me the run around I have a warranty with them on the work they did as well as a 3 year warranty for the transmission it self. Everytime I call or go up there they just make up excuses. They won’t even give me the warranty information for my transmission. I am still paying for my car and insurance and I cant even use it I’ve had to cut my hours at work because of this. Something that doesn’t make since to me is that everyone that has touched my car the first time it was replaced was either fired or quit. Please do not use them they will just screw around and not get the issue fixed.

If I could leave zero stars I would. They had me and my kids waiting. Knowing I’m from out of town, my ac went out and really needed help for the 7 hr of driving ahead of me. And they tell me last minute when I can’t find anyone else that they can’t help me cuz I’m they are backed up. Manager Andrea didn’t even have the decency to tell me and apologize herself sent out an employee. Disgusting, can’t help a mom and kids out during a traveling emergency. Karma, they have zero heart. Calling above them to file a complaint

Made an appointment the day prior to drop off my truck for servicing. I was told to be there the next morning at 7am. I waited till 7:30 in which no one had showed up to open the store. I finally left and went to Firestone who took me right in.

I showed up early for my scheduled oil change appointment and still waited over 15 minutes past my time with no communication or update. When I asked what was going on, the front desk manager, Andrea, deflected instead of taking responsibility — even asking how much time I had, as if I were the problem. Then came the charges I never approved: $3 for topping off windshield-wiper fluid I didn’t request and a fee for “outsourcing” an oil filter from the auto parts store next door. If the correct filter wasn’t in stock, that should’ve been communicated and approved before adding it to my bill. To top it off, they billed me for 5 quarts of oil when my 2017 Lexus IS 200t only holds 4.9 quarts with filter. Overfilling can cause oil foaming, pressure issues, and long-term engine damage — something any competent technician should know and prevent. This visit showed poor communication, questionable billing practices, and a lack of basic attention to manufacturer specifications. If you value transparency, professionalism, and your vehicle’s health, I’d strongly recommend taking your car somewhere else.

Awful. Took 12 days. Ordered wrong struts then couldn’t find the right struts so the struts didn’t get replaced. The first tech overlooked the bad wheel bearings and seals then the bearings were damaged upon arrival. Gave me my car back with greasy hand prints on my paint and my wheels were totally grimy. And the mark-up the parts! Outrageous. I will NEVER use Pep Boys in Abilene again. I will recommend to my friends that they never use Pep Boy, as well.

Spent 2 hours yesterday waiting and spent 1200 dollars on brakes and rotors they put one on wrong that messed up the rotor again. Now im 2 hours waiting for the andrea vasquez to get off her phone and do her job. Shes a smart mouth lazy person that intentionally makes u wait to be petty. Do not take your vehicle to this store. You will be charged alotof money for terrible service.

Went here for my 11am appointment, my car didn’t get touched till 2pm. I was the first appointment & I had multiple people skip me somehow. Kept putting their tools on my car on fiber food & roof. And left my interior & exterior filthy I had pep boys install aftermarket wheels for me & they installed wrong lug nuts on my wheels. Left a scratch on my bmw. No apology from the manager for my inconvenience. Will not be coming back here.

If I could give a negative star, I would. I made an appointment for 10 and I checked to see why my car was not touched and the girl working had not even entered my vehicle information for a work order to be made. Several others were upset about their vehicles as well. The girl working could care less. She was rude and did not even remotely act like it was a big deal. Andrea which I was told is the manager, WILL be hearing from me along with corporate. Absolutely ridiculous to have a business if it is going to be ran that way with people who do not even care. I will never be back and I will make sure everyone I know hears about my experience.

The man that greeted me had no idea how to do his job. I was over charged for a tire that was under warranty and should have been prorated. Instead he said the best I can do is give you a 10% discount. Then he handed me the managers card. I spoke with the manager the same day and she said she would look into it and call me back by the end of the day. Well here it is three days later and no call back. This is the worst location I have ever been to. I have always used this company for all my repairs on all my vehicles including the kids vehicles. NOT ANY MORE!!! The people they hire need to know how to do there jobs. They even tried to sell me new belts for the engine which was just put on before this visit. The owner of this location should look into hiring new staff and management. I won’t be returning to this location.

Stopped at Pep Boys in Abilene while driving through town because we needed a quick tire balancing. From the start, the experience was disappointing. The greeter seemed bothered when we walked in no warm welcome, just attitude. We were told it would be about an hour wait, which was fine, but after two full hours of sitting there, no one had even started on the car. When we decided to leave, the manager didn’t apologize or try to make it right he actually looked relieved that we were walking out. Definitely not the kind of service you expect when you’re on the road and need honest, timely help. Won’t be stopping at this location again.

Top notch service, knowledgeable, friendly and above all honest. I came in for a tire rotation and oil change. I need new brakes and at over 70,000 miles, it’s time! I highly recommend Pep boys!

Showed up for my 8:30 AM appointment, waited 2 hours before they took my vehicle back. Then 4 hours later they come back and tell me they had the wrong parts. Then over an hour later they finally get the right parts. Total time 7 hours 45 minutes for a brake job. Meanwhile Employees are observed either sitting in the garage playing on their phones or messing around. Definitely will not be back.
