UPDATED REVIEW: Went yesterday to have my tires inspected because my tire pressure light was on. Found a screw in my drivers rear tire. Tech told me it was not repairable, but I have road hazard coverage. Price of a new tire $200, but with the prorated discount it was going to cost $150. Unfortunately they didn't have my EXACT tire in stock, but they would order one to come same day. They never called me, I assume that they didn't get the tire?? I ended up going to Discount Tire in Mount Dora, and lo and behold.... they repaired my tire for FREE. AND if it had not been able to be repaired, a BRAND NEW TIRE would have been cheaper than the prorated one from pep boys, including tax and installation fees. I guess I have a new place to take my car. This location is independent rather than franchise. I have had service done 2x within the past 2 weeks. The first one was an emergency tire replacement. They were very accommodating and were able to get my car back on the road within 1.5 hours. I went back a week later to get more comprehensive repairs done. Again they were very fast, very honest, and very friendly. They provided a Lyft ride home while they were working on my vehicle, and also sent a Lyft to pick me up when the service was complete. My vehicle is running great now, and I feel safe on the road.

Had an appt yesterday for a simple oil change and chose the "I'll wait there" option. Showed upon time, was told I HAD to leave it would be "a while". Frustrated, left, went to Strickland Brothers had it done in 10 minutes. Won't be going back here, can't depend on them.

Diagnosis was quick and work was done in a very timely manner. Happy about that. Couple things I didn't care for. 1, built in "recommended services" into the initial quote. I had to ask for a breakdown and throw out all the extras just to get to the price of repairing the problem. 2, didn't waive the diagnostic fee when I decided to get it fixed there. Every other shop I been to waives the diagnostic fee if you go with them for repairs.

Service was horrible! I had came to leesburg florida for A/C replacement in May for my grandmother at pepboys over 1300 hundred dollars. I live in virginia, now in October the a/c went out. Just last week I told my grandmother to take it back to shop due to it being under warranty. They told her the seals on compressor is leaking and it would be free of charge. So they gave her appointment for few days later so they can get the parts. So she takes the car back on Tuesday to have it fixed. Now they are saying the manifold hose is leaking and they want over 700 dollars to fix it. How can this evaluation change in few days?? Did the mechanic break something??? So I called corporate to file claim of bad service they stated they would get in contact with me within 24- 48 hours. Never received call back so two days later I called back and they said they would escalate it to area manager. Never heard back from area manager. I was a loyal customer of pepboys but they have lost a customer. They taking advantage of my grandmother. The manager at the shop name curt was rude and very dismissive when I talked to him over the phone. Attached i have copy of diagnosis of what they said was wrong with a/c when my grandmother took car back to be looked at. Before her next appointment when they tried to take advantage of her.. I also would like to say that the manager Curt stated to me on the phone if you call corporate they are just going to come back to me. Basically like they are not going to do anything about it. He has to been doing this for a while to be so nonchalant. No accountability for his actions or respect for customer! Then the response back asking for the information that's in the attached picture. Pepboys such a disappointment. Gonna be contacting BBB.

Had driven to Leesburg to take my brother for a surgical procedure. Realized I had a large screw in tire. Needed to get something done quickly. Google, Pep Boys was 6 minutes down the road. Called them, went there, explained I needed to get back quickly. They jumped on the job immediately and changed all 4 tires in less than an hour. Got back to my brother quickly. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I took my work van in for some repair at the location off of Main Street but they could not do The Replacements of the inner and outer tie rod ends due to the fact they are alignment machine broke with somebody's truck up on top of it and it's taking them a week to fix so they had me come down to this location by the mall. They gave me a astronomical quotes and I asked him if I could buy the parts and bring it to him for installation and they said yes but they would not warranty the part. Of course I did so and that saved about $175 on upcharged parts cost but overall the $150 an hour labor charges added up pretty heavily. They did the repair and I picked our work van up on Sunday so it will be ready for driving on Monday. After one day in service my technician said they heard a rattling grinding noise underneath the van and didn't know what it was. They sent me a picture of something hanging down. I had to drive out and meet them and I took photos and found the technician did not to reinstall the vent tube that connects from the rack and pinion steering Bellows from the left to right. Additionally instead of using the stainless steel clamps to reinstall the boots they just used run-of-the-mill black zip ties to secure the Mellow moods to the rack and pinion and the tie rod shaft. The reason for the tube is it keeps water and debris out of the inner tie rods and when you turn the steering One Direction it takes the air pressure from the left and converts it to the right and then vice versa keeping the system sealed. Does tube had fallen off of the driver side and fell to the asphalt and through the driving ground the end of it completely off. I notified Pep Boys immediately and email them pictures of it but they said I must bring it in for their review but the manager told me this is likely a OEM part that would have to be ordered through the dealer and I would expect to have to bring the van back a second time after it was confirmed that what part was needed. So after the first Pep Boys told me I had to take it to this other Pep Boys for this part of the repair Andy alignment I now Again had to schedule an hours wage for my technician to go down and drop the van off and another hour to pick it back up. When this technician arrived to pick up the van the next morning, the Pep Boys person told my technician the van was repaired and finished. After my technician informed me this I know this could be right because I was told this was a specially ordered part so I called Pep Boys again and asked when they ordered the part and how long until it came in. The assistant manager on the phone said he wasn't sure about that and he had to have the regular manager call me because he wasn't in at that time. I never received a call back after 2 days and I had left the country for a week and a half vacation over christmas. When I arrived back on January 2nd I had to crawl underneath the van to find out what it was that they did that they said it was a fix and I took photos showing that what they did was reattach the Bellow boot on to the rack and pinion but completely remove the vent tube and left the holes where the vent tube was supposed to be installed and retained is now left open where water and contaminants can enter and cause premature where in failure of the inner tie rod end. I made a phone call again and I basically received the same answer but this time the main manager that I needed to talk to was on vacation and would be back January 6th and she would be sure to have him call me. As of today I have not received return phone calls from the multiple calls I made to the store requesting how and when they're going to correctly fix this. The assistant manager can't give me any answers at all and continuously refers me that I need to speak to the store manager who's never available.

Drivers side front tire sensor needed replaced as indicated by vehicle on screen display. Brought vehicle in for repair at this shop and representative (Kurt) determined a second sensor was also weak. Had both sensors replaced. 3 months later the drivers side front sensor was appearing as faulty again. Returned to shop to repair and replace again, as it should be under warranty. Kurt indicated the sensor was not one he replaced. No other tire work had been done on vehicle other than that performed by this pep boys location. This makes no sense as no other tire work was authorized for that visit. I feel this shop is not a trustworthy run business. I warn others to avoid this shop. Sorry Kurt , I have had much better experiences at multiple other pep boys locations. Will not return.

I had realized when my car started to slide on the road during a recent rain storm, that it was definitely time to get new tires right away. I had purchased my previous set from the car dealership that I had purchased my cars through. They were to call me right back with tires and pricing. They knew I needed them now. Well, after almost 2 hours, I had reached out to a neighbor to get their input who was reputable. Pep Boys was at the top of the list! I went into the nearby location around 3:30 and by 5:30 I was driving out with a new set of tires! They were very easy to deal with. And the price they quoted me was very fair. When I went to pay for the tires, it was even lower! This was the first time that I had ever been to a Pep Boys location. You have made a regular customer with me! I will most certainly be back for other car service needs!

Yesterday was my first time using Pep Boys, and they really came through for me. I was driving when my tire split. I safely pulled over and changed it, but the donut didn’t fit correctly and I couldn’t drive. I called this Pep Boys location, and while they didn’t have my tire in stock, they offered to source it from another store. The second location had the tire but with a long wait, so I called back and asked this location to order it. I took a Lyft and brought the bad tire straight over. About 25 minutes later, as my Lyft trunk was opening, Dakota and John came out to greet me by my name. They immediately asked if that was the tire, took it from me, and said they’d take care of everything. John wheeled it back, and Dakota kept me updated. I walked across the street to Ichiban for a quick bite, and before I was even done, I got a message that my tire was ready. Checkout was smooth, and Dakota was outstanding—professional, kind, and attentive. He even offered to carry the tire out and helped stage it so I could load it easily when my second Lyft arrived. From a stressful situation to a smooth resolution, this team made the experience easy and human. I’ll definitely be back.
