The service I received was excellent! Everything was explained clearly. When an additional problem was found I understood the how and why of it. My van was ready promptly. As an added bonus my wallet that I thought I'd lost was there. I'd recommend this Pep Boys for your repairs.

Uncomfortable waiting area. Didn’t update the status on the link they sent me. Gave me 4 hour window but they finished in 2 hours. Tire pressures were not set incorrectly. Gentleman at desk who waited on me was personable and installation of tires (purchased via TireRack) went smoothly. There’s room for improvement but overall not a terrible experience..

I had two alignments at WEST MIFFLIN PITTSBURGH PA done on my 2011 C300 Mercedes 4MATIC in Feb 2025 not too sure of the exact dates I know one was on February 18, 2025 but not sure if that was the first or second. I had them days apart because initially I went because my rear tires were balding on the inside of the tires only, not evenly, so before I bought new tires I wanted an alignment done. After I got the initial alignment done I came back a couple of days later because the car was pulling to the right and I thought I got it fixed again. So a week ago I look at my tires and the two front tires are balding on the outside of the tires now 2 months after Ive had two alignments. I set an appointment at a different PEP BOY location (SHADYSIDE PITTSBURGH PA) last week on purpose when I get there for the morning appointment they had some machinery down for repair so they couldn’t do the alignment at that time but told me that would get me in that day after the repair, they called me at 12:30pm and told me they had to reschedule me from that day Monday April 28, 2025 to Sunday May 4, 2025 at 9:30am. When I show up for that appointment Im told that they don’t do alignments on Sundays and told to come back at 11am May 5, 2025 which I do and sit there till 2:30pm and my car is still sitting in the same parking spot since Ive been there. I say something to the clerk and he says he would take the vehicle back there himself and complete the service which he did after another 20-30 m minutes of taking care of the customers in the waiting area. I didn’t leave there until 3:30-4pm from 11am. Now I need two expensive tires when that could’ve been avoided and the overall service was terrible. I spoke to the WEST MIFFLIN location and they couldn't provide me with the notes from that service date nor did they record the second date a few days later when I came back with the same problem. I bought a 3 year alignment package back in 2023 so that's why I continued to come back. One thing when I called to get exact dates from WEST MIFFLIN for some reason they didn’t record the revisit a few days later so they gave me the Feb 18, 2025 but there was 2 dates in Feb days apart for the same service. I sent an email to pep social as well and provided photos. Thank you. After they responded to online review they tell me someone from their Field Leadership Team would be reaching out, well that was May 7 and nobody has reached out today is May 16. Today is JUNE 9, 2025 I havent heard anything from this company after they responded on here obviously now to make it look good. Take my money gladly but don't back up your work. Crazy these companies do their recurring customers like this.

Dropped my car off well before my 9am appointment for a state inspection; by 6pm they told me they wouldn't be able to get me in until the following day. I feel bad because the employees were very courteous and apologetic.

Straight up don’t go here. When I checked in I told the kid at the desk I was a former service advisor at Pep Boys. He still tried to bully me into buying new tires to pass inspection. After I told them no I won’t buy tires they passed the car through inspection and never explained to me how a car they said would fail inspection if I didn’t buy tires miraculously passed on the same tires. Hint: it didn’t need tires and they got caught by somebody who knew the rules.

Not my 1st time bringing a vehicle to Pep Boys on Millvale Ave... Today I brought my jeep wrangler in that was throwing an o2 sensor code. Upon inspection they found a major oil leak and were able to fix that as well in the same day. Both Douglas and Jessica were professional and polite.

The whole experience felt careless and dismissive. I won’t be going back, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. I’m a new driver and don’t know much about cars, so I trusted that things would be done honestly. But unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. I went in for a simple state inspection and ended up paying over $700, including $398 for a single tire (Bridgestone Turanza EL440), not even including alignment or calibration. I later found out that same tire costs under $250 elsewhere. I didn’t realize until afterward just how badly I’d been overcharged. Even worse, I told them twice that the plastic panel under my front bumper was loose, with one side hanging and nearly touching the ground. They said they’d check it, but never did. When I asked again at the end, the guy said, “Your car passed inspection. If you want that fixed, go to a body shop.” But seriously how is something visibly hanging and dragging on the road considered “safe to drive”? That makes no sense.

Had a single rim and tire I needed mounted and balanced for my project late in the day that would have held me up from continuing that night. They were short handed tody and the manager told me she "would try" to get me in when I got there. Anyway it's now 10 minutes later and I am driving home with my mounted and balanced wheel!

I went to get my state inspection and the whole experience was very careless. I had my appointment and dropped my car off in the morning and was told it would take 1.5-2 hours. I haven’t heard anything 4 hours later and call and was told it was being worked on and that they would reach out to me when it’s finished. I don’t hear anything for another 3 hours and they closed soon so I called back and was told something happened and my car couldn’t get inspected but to bring it back the next morning. I brought it back and they didn’t give me an eta when I asked and they said I’d get a call or text which I never got after 5 hours. I called and was told it was getting the sticker and I would get a text shortly. I never got that text and just went to pick it up. I spoke to the manager who was kind and offered to comp the bill which I really appreciated but the other customer service rep was very dismissive and rude. I appreciated that they comped the bill but it was an overall poor experience and I wouldn’t go back or recommend.

Do not come here. Firstly, I had trouble booking online. I got a confirmation email about my appointment, but then over the course of the next few hours I got multiple emails saying my booking wasn't finished yet, and that I had to go online to complete my appointment. When I clicked the link, it just took me to the page to set up a new appointment. I called to figure it out, and the man I spoke to was very helpful and friendly. I brought my car in the next day at 1pm, as was my appointment, for a state inspection. They told me that the state inspectors can only stay until about 5pm so my car should definitely be done today. I agreed to leave it and go somewhere, then they would call me so I could come back. Around 4:30pm I called them back and asked if my car would be ready by 5, since that's when the state inspectors leave. The man on the phone checked with them, then told me it won't be ready by 5, but should definitely be done today. The clock kept on ticking and they never called me back. I had to spend $60 on Ubers going to work and back the next day because they kept my car overnight, even though they told me it would be ready that evening. If they had at least told me ahead of time that my car would have to stay overnight, I could've planned ahead of time, and I wouldn't have brought it in that day. Maybe it's partially my fault for expecting it to be done the same day--this is my first car so I don't have experience with how long things take. I just took them by their word that it would be done that evening. The 2 stars instead of 1 are solely because the guy who I spoke to when I dropped my car off was super friendly and helpful, and I could tell he was having a hard time because he was the only person there to answer phones and help people. I can't remember his name!! I wish I did!!

It was a cold snowy day and I expected to spend hours at this dealership. Everyone was very courteous and actually I was in and out of there faster than I thought I would be. Everyone was very professional... Good group of men!

Sunday 4pm. Snowing outside. Nail caught in my tire. Air leaking. Tire pressure lamp on. Worrying about how to get to work the next day. But guess what--I walked into Pep Boys and the team immediately fixed my tire and I was out in less than 30 mins. What's even better? Only cost me $26. Amazing. I'm so grateful to the team. Thanks for your help.

I asked for an oil change, two new tires, new windshield wipers, and an inspection at a nearly $550 price tag. I was told my vehicle would be ready on the 4th of November. Unfortunately, my car was not ready until 2:00 pm the next day, even though I was told it would be ready by 12 on the 5th of November. On the morning of the 6th of November, I noticed air quickly leaving my tire. I was able to make it to a Sheetz to fill all the tires with air (even though this should have been done at the shop). I was also missing two tire caps, and my sensors were not recalibrated (A service I ask for every time, and is never done). This is the first time in my life that I have paid over $500 for a service and received less than what I paid. I paid over $500 for a service that was supposed to take a day, and instead am now going on the 4th day. Additionally, I have heard staff talking negatively about customers in the past. Their focus should be on their jobs, not on criticizing people for lacking knowledge in a field they don't even work in.

Vehicle inspection, oil change, and tire rotation on a fairly old car. They answered all of my questions in a clear and informed way. It was a quick job for those three services - took 4-5 hours for me to return and pick up my car, but I think it was done faster than that. We read the previous reviews and comments before scheduling. Most recent negative comments were about timing. We arrived at 8AM and were done by 1PM. When we got there the place was nice and empty. By 1PM, many folks were waiting for their cars. I'd assume that emergencies arise and the place gets quite busy. If you can, drop off at the earliest time you can muster, or even leave your car overnight. I'm guessing even urgent repairs are first-come-first-served. I prefer that over a system where you pay more to skip the line.

I had a flat tire. I booked an appointment online for 11am on Sunday. It cost 330$ which sounds fine to me, but they started working on my car at 5:50pm car was ready only after 6pm. Since they were closing at 6pm, I didn't ask questions or delved into the details. I now have 3 tires of one brand, and a 4th tire of a different brand installed, and I don't think that's recommended. The staff were not very communicative and gave me the feeling as if my business was an inconvenience rather than appreciated. I'll go somewhere else next time. **Edit**: The owner replied to this review, and wrote that "We would like to look into the issue and find a solution. Please email us at ...". If the owner really wanted to look into the issue, why didn't they contact me? They have my name, email, and phone number. Why do I have to email them?

They have zero customer service skills. They suggest things but dont tell yiu a price or if it'll be done to your vehicle. It doesn't take an hour and a half to do an oil change. this place is overall, overpriced for no good reason.

Needed battery change as car was sitting in parking lot for about 3 months. My car dealership said they will need 2-3 days so I checked with Pep Boys. The quality of work is excellent and they don’t try to upsell unnecessary services. It’s rare to find a shop that’s both efficient and trustworthy but this team delivers on both. I’d confidently recommend them to anyone who wants reliable, fast and honest car service as I got my car fixed real quick and at reasonable cost.

I’m sure those that posted below 5 stars have their reasons, but I’ve never been treated better. The first time I went there they sent me away because I didn’t need what I thought I needed. They could have charged for a superfluous service but chose to give great advice instead. Which is why I naturally chose to return a second time. I brought them a wheel and a new tire to put on it expecting to pay more than I did and to wait a day. The manager (Dallas) worked it in and it was done in under an hour. Right before a massive snow storm too. Great place, everyone is easy to talk to, they don’t run you around, and they over-delivered on my expectations. We need more people like Dallas around…..Plus, there are lots of places to eat across the street if you choose to stay and wait. I didn’t but I would have if I had known they were going to be that quick!
