Chauncy and Gee are absolute gems! From start to finish, their service was nothing short of exceptional. Professional, personable, and full of positive energy, they went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly and everyone felt taken care of. You can tell they take great pride in their work and genuinely care about people — it shows in every detail. Chauncy’s attentiveness and leadership were top-tier. He anticipated needs before they were even voiced and kept everything moving with calm confidence and a warm smile. Gee brought such a grounded and joyful presence — thorough, efficient, and always a step ahead. Together, they’re a dream team. I can’t recommend them highly enough. If you’re looking for excellence, reliability, and real-deal care in service — Chauncy and Gee are it. 🙌🏾🔥

Needed an oil change and possibly brakes. The tech was knowledgeable and the assistant manager, Ian, went above and beyond to make sure I only got the necessary service. He was so trustworthy, I ended up buying some tires. 10/10 recommend pep boys and IAN!

Took it in Wednesday around 1 and was told it would be finished by end of business Thursday. Thought the app would be informative, but never updated. Went in Thursday evening just before close to grab a work badge out of the car after receiving no updates from the shop. Was told the guy that could work on the car would be in Friday around 8am. Took Friday off to wait to pick up the car. Radio silence from the shop so I called just before 11am to see the status. Told would be done no later than 3pm. Poor guy up front finally rang me up after dealing with nonstop phone calls and got my engine cleaning and oil change finished by 315p. The discount they gave me almost covered the $30 uber I took to get there by 230 (just in case they finished within 16 hours of their self-imposed deadline that was never mentioned after it had passed.

I had an excellent experience with pep boys. These men are very friendly and customer service savvy. They kept me updated with my vehicle and notified me when the part came in and when my car was ready. Thank you to Chauncey and Jarrod!

If I could leave 10 stars i would. The dealership told me I was in need of new breaks all around. I brought my car here first, they were super sweet and even informed me I in fact was not in need of breaks this soon. Thank you guys for your honesty and integrity 👏

I once went there when it was first opened. I went to buy a new battery for my car. The guy looked at me and ignored my presence. There was none present other than me. I stood there waiting for him to acknowledge me. After some time , around 8 min, he told me he will get with me in a few minutes all the while doing nothing. I stood there another 5 min or so and decided he has lots of business and that he did not need mine, hence his lack of interest. Never walked to that place ever again. Made the same mistake of going back to the same location for A/C not cooling. Charges me $450 and tells me they filled the freon. Leave and in 5 min A/C is blowing hot air again. Take it back and no help. Eventually went to Maxi at east ridge and Jonathan tells me the freon was at 0.5 . These people have not changed their business practices and they don’t want to. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this location!!!

I came in to get a repair on a coolant bypass valve that takes 1.5 hrs to complete for a competent technician, they ended up needing my car for 5 days to identify and correct the problem even though I communicated the issue when I initially brought them the car. They insisted I only needed my oil changed to clear the code I had. They then broke a heating line on my car, lied to me and told me that it was brittle and old and broke on its own on a 6 YEAR OLD CAR. I contacted the service techs at Toyota and they informed me that was highly unlikely. Their manager then lied to me further and doubled down and gave me a bad discount. Businesses don’t feel the need to give a discount if they’re not at fault for breaking your stuff. Do not trust them to do anything more than change your oil, if that. Will never be back.

I experienced a tire problem while on a golf trip in Chattanooga, TN, and of course it was on a Sunday. The local Pep Boys was open! Ian, the service advisor, was most helpful in getting a new tire ordered for Monday morning so I could get on the road home.

I was heading out of town and driving my Elderly father’s vehicle. When I picked it up, I could hear a sound. I called Pep Boys and they immediately took us in and took care of all the repairs promptly and courteously. I was so impressed! Way to go Pep Boys.

Very disappointing, they have worked on my daughter's car twice and every time something else happens and costs even more. Personally, they are expensive as hell and really not worth recommending

My front driver brake started to make a racket and I live in another state. I knew it needed to be looked at so I made an appointment to get it checked and it was in bad shape. They got me back on the road so I could get home safely!

Edit 2: After the tires were installed, I had a leak in one of them and also the tire pressure sensor quit working... So I went by for them to find the leak and install the sensor. They called me a couple of hours later and said that they could not find the leak but installed the sensor. The price was the same so they just charged me to install the sensor. I was curious about this because the tire was losing a couple of lbs of pressure a day. A couple of days later, the light came on telling me I have low tire pressure in the same tire. I will say that I am thankful that Frank helped me out, but as much trouble that I have had from this shop, I would not go back. I do not understand how they could not find a leak unless they didn't look for it and just installed the sensor. Edit 1: I received a call from Frank and apologized for the misunderstanding. He stated he would discuss the confusion but they would be able to install my tires. I went in and they installed the tires while me and my family waited. They completed it quickly and apologized again while checking out. Glad they contacted me and I was able to get the tires installed! I called about mounting a set of tires that were pulled off a new 2024 truck that had about 200 miles on them. The guy that answered the phone asked me some questions regarding the tires. I explained the condition of the tires and he said they would have to review them when I arrived but if they were in the condition I explained it would be $30 per tire to mount and balance them. So the next morning I arrived with the tires loaded in my truck, about a 20 minute drive. I walked in and the guy I spoke with was no there. So I explained to the employee and he said "Oh no we cannot install them if they don't have a sticker on them per corporate policy." I explained to him that I had called the day before and spoke with someone and if they were in the almost new condition, they would be installed. He just said no, we cannot install them. So I asked to speak with the person I spoke with the day before and they just said he shouldn't have told me that. If this is the case, Pep Boys needs to retrain employees on what they can and cannot do. I did not need to drive 20 min in the rain after loading the tires to be told no. I know I have not been to Pep Boys but I can tell you that I will not be going back now.

I bought new tires at Walmart. They did not have availability to install them. I called Pep Boyd and they said they could do it. I drive my car over and they installed the tires. When I got back to my car and started it, the low tire pressure light was on. Went back into the store and asked about it. They told the tires had to do a rolling reset. I drove 50 miles headingback home to KY. The light was still on. I called the store and they wanted me to drive back to their location. That was not feasible. How do I bring a car in with no dash lights on and get it back with a light on. Pep Boys said there was no way they damaged it. While checking Google, I found 2 ways it goes out. Batteries die in about 8-10 years (they are about 2 years old) or being damaged during tire installation. Over 300 miles later, the light is still on. I have an appointment with my mechanic to have them checked out. I do not recommend getting tires installed at Pep Boys.

We were from out of town had a flat tire had the small spare on and needed it replaced , We called drove over, walked in the door and they got it done. They got it done fixed, repaired and back out the door within 45 minutes we went next-door And ate brunch it couldn’t have been any easier. Excellent service. We recently have a Pep Boys that opened in our town. I will take my business there from this day forward as we went to Walmart prior to going there they said they were too busy and would not take a walk in even for a flat tire repair.

above and beyond support to help get my car ready for a road trip! Their waiting room is a bit uncomfortable/lackluster compared to other car repair/dealership waiting rooms but the customer service was really good. They did upsell on the air filter replacement which I'm pretty sure I just got done a few months prior, so I should have said no, that's on me. Their customer service really is above other shops. They explain things clearly and went the extra mile to help me in my situation. I do recommend them!

Extremely disappointing experience! I had a reservation for a simple tire rotation at 4 PM. I reached on time, dropped off my car, and received a text saying the vehicle would be ready by 6 PM. Matthew told me to check the link in the text for updates. After waiting for 20 minutes, I decided to wait at nearby bookstore to kill some time. From 5:30 PM onward, I kept checking the service link they provided—no technician was ever assigned, and there were no updates at all. I finally called around 6 PM and was told car would now be ready by 7 PM. I accepted the delay, but the service tracker still showed no progress. By 6:50 PM, I decided to go back to the shop, only to find the staff closing the doors. No call, no text, no update—nothing. When I asked for an explanation, the staff member handling my car, Matthew, showed zero empathy and simply said they “thought” I had already been informed. He couldn’t explain who was supposed to inform me or why it never happened. It wasn’t just the long wait; it was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism. No apology, no solution, and no attempt to make the situation better. Overall, a very poor customer service experience. I will not be returning to this location and would not recommend it.
