I had an appointment at 5 pm yesterday to get tires changed, came in around 4:30, My car did not get into the bay until almost 7 pm. Rescheduled my appointment for 4 pm the next day because I didn’t have a wheel lock, My car didn’t go in the bay until almost 7 at night. I also talked to a few other people in the waiting room, the said they been waiting 4-6 hours. Service is slow so I do NOT recommend

Thought I needed new tires, ended up saving a lot of money because I just needed a patch, and they let me know about some of my lights that needed to be replaced. They could have just put 4 new tires on and charged me but they ended up helping me out a lot. Would recommend

Went in for a State Inspection despite inspections going away within 15 days from service. Shop initial failed rear break pads and after asking for them to show the failing pads, now they back-pedalled and the pads were ok, but one rear rotor failed for minor pitting on inside of rotor. Failed my car. We did not give them repair business, fixed ourselves and brought to a different Inspection site. All set now. If you go here, be prepared for the upsell, and if you question the inspector be prepared to be insulted.

I was waiting here for almost 6 hours and i’m still waiting here to get my tires fixed. there are other people here who have even waiting for over 5 hours for simple tasks that can be completed in 45 minutes. service here shouldn’t be slow because i have a life to get to and i can’t have unfixed tired out on the highway. please get faster service and stop acting lazy

I want to give a huge thank you to Pep Boys in Manchester, especially to Josh! We came in with a tire problem and he quickly found a giant screw in it. He fixed the tire right away, in such a timely manner. Josh was super professional, super friendly, and made the whole situation stress-free for us. My car battery light was still on after having an alternator and battery replacement elsewhere from my cars warranty. They gave it back to me with light still on so I decided to take it to pep boys instead since I was going on a trip and needed it fixed right. They did great. They figured out what was wrong and they communicated with me before proceeding with fixing it. And they did extra testing to make sure it was safe for my trip. I’ll definitely be going to them from now on.

I made an appointment for a state inspection online. I showed up for the inspection and was told that they had another appointment for the same time and could only do one an hour. I made an appointment for the next day and waited 3 hours to be told that I had a bad rear wiper and my headlights were not aligned. $20 per light to adjust my headlights and 35 for one wiper blade. I’m confident that none of that was true. I had my car serviced at the dealership a month ago. I had to pay to get it fixed or go somewhere else and pay for another inspection. The guy next to me has been here 5 hours for two tires and an inspection.

I was familiar w Pep Boys from Southern California. When I arrived I was greeted and asked what type of service my car needed. I had a list of things from the dealership where I had bought my car and where it had been serviced the last two years. I asked the technician to check ages recommendations the dealership made. After a short time I was told my car didn’t really need all those things. The brakes were in good shape. I was relieved to know that instead of spending several hundred I got a free evaluation and a brake fluid change for less than $100.

I came here for my State Inspection and it was such a smooth experience. Uriah and Scott were very kind and helpful and the service was fast. I scheduled my appointment for 5:00pm, not realizing they stop at 4:00pm for inspections. But the technician, Rob, was still able to do it so I didn’t have to reschedule. I’m very appreciative of that! These guys are fantastic and I will definitely come back if I need any repairs or for another State Inspection next year. Thank you Pep Boys!

I would give this shop 10 ⭐️s if I could!!!!! There's nothing worse than a flat, half way across the country, while on a road trip. Just before closing on a Saturday, I called the Portsmouth location and they were very helpful in letting me know they did not have the tire I needed in stock, but found a location that did have it. I then contacted this location in Manchester. They verified having the tire I needed AND were able to squeeze us in first thing Sunday morning! The manager, Uriah, was so friendly, kind and knowledgeable! They not only replaced our tire, but also informed us of a problem with our original tire replacement back home, that took place just before leaving on our trip. He explained the problem and told us how to go back to the previous shop to get it rectified. I also loved the texts provided, telling us who the technician working on our car was and provided a detailed report of what was found and the work completed. Knowing we were traveling, they performed a systems check on the car and made sure all of our tires (including the spare) were correctly inflated. They turned, what could have been, a miserable, time-consuming vacation experience into a quick, informative one (and on a Sunday!) and earned a new customer in the process! From here on out, Pep Boys will be my go-to at home! Thanks Uriah and team for helping our vacation continue as planned!!!

How do they have a rating of 3.9. This place is a complete nightmare. We waited 3.5 hrs for a car inspection and they wanted to charge an extra 40$ for a headlight restoration when we just bought the car 2 months ago at a highly rated car dealership. In my opinion we shouldn’t be charged anything when you have people wait 3.5 hrs for what should be a 10 minute appointment. I will never come back here again. Complete joke.

Good price on tires, did the buy two get two. Waited three hours for them to be installed. Ten minutes after leaving my TPS tripped. Every time I get tires they can never seem to reset that. Went back and took another two and a half hours. You think they would prioritize someone when they made a mistake. Maybe next time I’ll try a different location since Sullivan tire doesn’t do that deal anymore. Just frustrating it took so long. Other than that they were nice and had a good price.

I was initially excited about the BOGO tire deal for Black Friday, but my experience with their corporate-level operations quickly changed that. I scheduled my appointment online and selected my tires, only to receive a call 18 minutes before my appointment asking me to reschedule due to a lack of available technicians. I didn’t see the call and arrived anyway, where I was helped by Uriah at the front desk. Despite the circumstances, Uriah went above and beyond to fit me in that evening. Unfortunately, we discovered the tires I had reserved weren’t actually in stock. Understandably frustrated, I was genuinely impressed by how hard Uriah and another manager worked to fix the issue. They located the tires, personally picked them up, and had them installed for me the next day. Having worked in retail for many years, I can confidently say that Pep Boys is incredibly lucky to have managers like Uriah who step up when corporate systems fail. The overbooking of appointments, overselling of inventory, and apparent turnover issues are concerning and made this experience far more stressful than it needed to be. While I’m grateful to Uriah and his team for their amazing service in a difficult situation, I’m not sure I’ll return to Pep Boys in the future. Their efforts were the only redeeming part of an otherwise poorly managed process.

I'm giving two stars only because the people that worked at the front were extremely pleasant. They informed us the technician was running late for lunch. Ok, thats fine. However, the wait time was a bit absurd, considering there was only one other car being serviced. We waited almost 3 hours, when we had a scheduled appointment time. Thats a bit excessive. This was only for new tires. Ive gone to other Pep Boys, which were busier and never waited this long. Likely would have spent a little more somewhere else, if we knew it was going to take this long to change tires. Not impressed!

Amazing Service from Bobby at the South Willow Street, Manchester, NH, location. He was extremely friendly on the phone call, and was able to have my car immediately checked out after I had it towed. Not only was the service from Bobby friendly and reassuring, the team was also amazing. My car had some really bad internal damage and they were able to fix it in under a week at an affordable cost. My car is now back running smoothly and safely. Would definitely recommend to all my friends and family! Thank you again!!

I arrived slightly before noon for a 12:30 appointment, at 2pm I asked about how things were going and was told that they would move my car into the garage right away and I should be out in 30 minutes, another 2 hours later I was told that the oil change was done but I need to approve a brake change, after doing so I was told it would be another 1.5 hours for them to finish, and it is now 4pm. At 5:30 pm I am told it will be just 20 more minutes and that’s probably an overestimate. At 6:30 pm my car was ready. Spent nearly 7 hours in a pep boys being told 30 minutes longer every hour, dude who looks like he writes limericks about ipas needs to get better at estimating times, is it his first day or something? not to mention the four hour oil change. They got through like four cars total in a day, absolutely insane

You don't even deserve 1 star . I made an appointment online , got here on time , mind you first time coming here , so I parked in front of bay door that said oil change saw that there was not any vehicle inside which there shouldn't be due to my online appt . So I saw an employee in there he opened side door came out I told him I had an 530pm appt for oil change he then proceeded to tell me that I needed to go next door so pull around the building to other side. So I proceeded to do that didn't see any bay doors on other side or any doors or windows I followed it around the building g brought me right back to where I was when I first parked so I figured we'll maybe I'm at wrong location so I then pulled out of enterway went to next building auto zone which I knew wasnt right. So then I called them and drove back to where I was when I first got there in front of bay doors that said oil change . So I the phone I proceeded to tell him what happened when I first got there on time for my appt 530pm. So he then told me to stay right where I was so I did they he hung up on me came out the side door asked me to go over and park my car in parking lot and come inside the front door so that's what I did and 2 employees where sitting behind the counter in front of computer and so he said I don't have a technician that can do your oil change in 16 minutes we close at 6pm yes I know what time you close that's irrelevant because I had an appointment for 5:30 p.m. and it's not my fault that the employee told me wrong information because I was here on time for my appointment so he should have honored my appointment the business was still open and you should have been a technician still working until 6:00 p.m. so just because they wanted to leave and clock out at 6:00 p.m. and go home what's wrong because I had an appointment and it was not my fault that I was now late because of the employee gave me wrong information he should have honored my appointment and took my car in and changed the oil it doesn't take that long to do an oil change and yes somebody could do my oil change in like 16 minutes I might be a woman but I'm not an uneducated woman there is plenty of these Quick Lube oil change places that say they can do an oil change in 15 minutes so I beg to differ with this man this is very poor customer service and he shouldn't have his job anymore due to the fact that he was in a hurry to clock out at 6:00 p.m. and not stay 5 or 10 minutes after 6:00 to do my service that I had scheduled an appointment for that is very bad customer service and I will be contacting corporate office in reporting this and hopefully corporate office will recommend him not recommend reprimand him because he does not deserve to have this job especially if you cannot be professional and do it the way he's supposed to do it

Extremely disappointed in the Service and Cara that I received from Pep Boys. For starters, I’ve used this company before 4 years ago and had no issues. This December, however, my service was terrible and they damaged my rims. I purchased 4 brand new tires and had a wheels alignment. When I received my car back, one of my tires had 20 psi in the tire, How unprofessional to not doublecheck your work before returning it to a client? Additionally, they took way too long. Lastly, They damaged my rims they scratched them extremely bad. I don’t even know how you could scratch rims this bad? It appears they didn’t know how to take tires off without scratching rims. I’m extremely upset with the service I received from Pep Boys. I would suggest others to never use their service.

Uriah is awesome! Set an appt to do rotors, pads, caliper service, and oil change done on 2/28/26. I've had nothing but issues with mechanics and their brake jobs on my vehicle. Upon arrival I met Uriah. After telling him my stories he immediately believed me (finally someone did) and turns out he has the same car I do and had the same issues i did! He set me up with the brakes he installed on his vehicle and told me how to burnish them. Just got done doing that and everything feels great again! Had the BG service done with my oil change and with that done on top of no longer driving on bad brakes, my car feels BRAND NEW AGAIN. Thank you Uriah, you're my new go-to. P.s. things are increasingly expensive- especially in the automotive industry, of course the price of all this wasnt cheap. If youre looking for a cheap job you'll get cheap results. I chose a pepboys location because they warranty their parts and labor, and that gives me peace of mind and confidence that I wont suffer issues like I have in the past.
