Went there for an inspection. Got in the car this is what I see asked if it was normal and he said yeah wouldn’t come off. Waste of space to have that place open

I had an appointment today at 10:00 AM for a vehicle inspection. Upon arrival, I was informed by the front desk staff that both technicians were tied up with jobs lasting over 8 hours and that the shop was weeks behind on work. Despite having a scheduled appointment, I was told to take a seat and wait to be helped “at some point today.” While I was waiting, I overheard the front desk staff — a woman and a male employee — openly discussing other customers’ issues in a highly unprofessional and inappropriate manner. They were laughing about the condition of customers’ vehicles and making crude remarks, including one where the male employee said, as a woman approached the door, “you can see that she is going to be trouble.” After observing this behavior and realizing that no progress was being made toward my appointment, I decided to ask for my keys back and leave. It’s extremely frustrating to make an appointment only to be told there’s no staff available to perform the service. This defeats the purpose of scheduling ahead of time. Furthermore, the conduct of the front office staff — gossiping, using their cell phones, and making inappropriate comments about customers — was unprofessional and disrespectful. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no customer should be treated this way.

One of the most honest and authentic shops I’ve dealt with in a long time. Fantastic customer service and very open about availability and capabilities. Took our car in for AC, oil change and TPMS review. We made an appointment and issues were addressed same day of the appointment. Highly recommend these folks. Only caution would be the walk-in’s - they are very busy. Would recommend an appointment if you can plan around it.

I was having trouble with my 2018 ford explorer battery, and i had it checked at Auto Zone sense it was under warranty, They said the battery was keeping it charge. but I was still having problems with it when I got home. Took my ford t Pep Boys to get in checkout. Todd the service manager was able to get me taken care without an appointment. I was told it was the battery as I thought. Took the print out with the results to Auto Zone and had my battery replaced because it was still under warranty. I will be coming back to this Pep Boys location again

As a retired electromechanical engineer and auto tech, I have seen the dirty, untruthful side of auto shops and have grown to distrust them. I am always hesitant to take my car ANYWHERE for repairs where the poor quality of the PEOPLE can be the biggest issue. Since day one, when I first brought my car to the Portsmouth shop on Airline Blvd, everyone I have come across have been very pleasant and kind while repairs have been honest and complete. I have grown to trust the shop and everyone in it. Thank you, everyone at the Portsmouth/Airline Blvd shop. As a vet, it's nice to feel that i can trust a service.

Just replaced all upper and lower balljoints on my car they say cant do aligment on because they are bad. not a good place for any work for your car dont go cant even do a simple aligment on a car they suck portsmouth aligment is better.

After leaving a review that the manager did not like the manager decided to contact my wife. When it was brought up about the long wait she was told “well, you don’t know the situation as to why he needed to go in front of you.” Along with this when my wife said “well in situations like this the customer is wrong and the business is always right, right?” To which the manager responded with “don’t go there.” So we won’t be bringing any car back to this location. Encouraging you not to. Unless you enjoy harassment and non accountability.

I don’t recommend this business at all, there is only 1 person up front trying to do several jobs at the same time. So the wait is just awful; avoid it if you’re in a hurry. Also the entrance and waiting area is dirty, falling apart.

Took way too long. 2 hours to install and balance 2 tires on a scheduled appointment is not acceptable but I was patient and courteous. The Manger, Todd was professional and it wasn't his fault!

I went in to get my brakes checked because they was squeaking. After thoroughly checking them they told me there was nothing wrong with my brakes and that they my front brakes was actually new because I did get them done from somewhere else earlier in the year. They was open and honest with me and did not take my money for a job that didn't need to be done. Overall my experience was great!

I am only giving them 2 stars because they put my new tires on and aligned them but I waited 4.5 hours almost 5 hours. There was multiple people who walked in while I was there and dropped off their car and waited and got their car done within an hour and left. I also sat while listening to the manager Todd talk to the receptionist about how he needed to get this one customer done even though he had just walked in and sure enough he was done within 45 minutes. She did try telling him that I was still waiting and had been for hours but what does a young patient woman know? Just know you might be waiting for HOURS if you go. According to them your appointment time is just letting them know you will be coming around that time.

I had to have my car towed to the shop on a Sunday and was informed that a new tire would be necessary since it could not be repaired but would have to order the tire on Monday. I was contacted that the tire had been delivered and would be ready for pick up within 1 hour of the call and that I could pick it up before close of business. I was also informed that I had a bubble on another tire and it would need to be replaced at some point, but it was my decision when.
