Avoid this place! My car broke down and I took it to Pep Boys. They told us it was something with the break. They changed the parts for that. They also recommended us to do some maintenance on the engine, which we did. All of that cost us $1.3k. A couple days later, the car broke down again. We took it to Pep Boys. This time they told us the engine is shot, just after they had us spend all the money to service it a couple days ago. So after two visits with them, we end up with a broken car and $1.3k out of our pocket. They initially told us we could work something out. What happened was the manger Howard told us they’d give us a break for any future visits! Nope, there will not be any future visits! We don’t know what happened to our car. If they knew that the engine was anywhere close to be shot, why did they have us spend all the money on it; after they serviced the engine, why would it be shot just a couple days later. I would never know. Now I have to figure out a way to buy a new car, with $1.3K less on my check book.

I just had my tires fixed at Morrisville Pep Boys and once again had an excellent experience. Howard and Aliyah took care of everything in such a professional and kind way. This is my third time coming to this location, and every visit I’ve felt valued and treated with genuine care. Highly recommend this team and this Pep Boys location!

On 03/12/2025 I purchased 4 new Kumho Premium KL33 tires. Store # 6539 Morrisville, NC2 7560. Trans # 028528. Service work order 653911502852820250312. ON 10/06/2025, I returned to store # 6539 due to a screw sticking out of my drivers side rear tire. It could not be repaired due to the screw was in the tires sidewall.I was told that the tires warranty did not cover this damage and also there was no prorated policy. I advised them to order the same replacement tire. I was advised the tire would be in the next day and they would call me when it arrives. Since I did not hear from them the next morning I called. Howard your employee said the tire was in so come in. I brought with me the work oder and all the paper work from my original purchase on March 12. After almost 2 hrs waiting Howard told me my care was ready. I paid $239.74 for the new tire. When I received my receipt from Howard I compaired it to the March receipt only to find it was not the same tire. The new tire was a Kumho Crugen HP71 and not the Krugen Premium Kl 33. I informed Howard that I checked their web site and it stated the tire was available. After review both the new and the March receipts Howard went out to check the tire they mounted. He advised me he will order the tire and for me to come back the next day. On Oct 08/2025 I returned only to find the girl at the front desk said she could not find the tire and had phoned Howard who was off this day. Howard said he would be in tomorrow to follow up. This is beyond my patience I can see one mistake but goodness does anyone there know what they are doing. My sincere apologies I am not tech savy I did take photos of the replacement tire and my other tires you can see the difference. But I don't know how to transfer them to this documnet. Vincent J. Only thing good about this location was the receptionist she was great the mechanics screws me to get me to buy 4 new tires doing my inspection which I didn’t because they cracked my front tires by over inflating 32psi to 38psi and my right rear to 56 which would have killed me if I hadn’t had a good feel for my car from doing my own maintenance presently and before this situation and if I had gotten on the highway I would have probably totaled my car or died they didn’t know that my car was red and they put fwd down on the paper charged me for emissions when it’s no longer required in my county and the location I went to is in the same county. It doesn’t sound like they took their time or used any effort into making sure my car was actually ok during inspection and were very inattentive regarding what they were doing while it was in their custody

I went in for what should’ve been a simple service, but the experience turned into something completely different. I originally paid for two tires, but they pushed me into buying four, even though I clearly said I only needed two. They insisted and tried to charge me again as if the original payment didn’t matter. On top of that, after they supposedly serviced my car, I came back home and realized the coolant was below minimum, so I had to buy coolant myself and refill it. They also told me they changed the oil, but it turned out they didn’t add enough oil, so again, I had to fix it on my own. Overall, it felt like they were running their day the way they wanted, not delivering what I paid for. I trusted them with basic work, and I still ended up doing part of the job myself.

Howard is the best & his team always takes care of my car. He gets me on the schedule fast and the team delivers as promised. They can be pretty busy & I would suggest going when you have plenty of time and not in a rush to get to the next errand or you may end up a lil irritated. Either way, Pep boys is my go to for easy, light repairs🙂↕️ I appreciate you all in the back!

I came to Pep Boys for my car’s annual inspection, and the experience was top-notch. Logan handled everything extremely well—very professional and thorough. During the inspection, they discovered that the OBD sensor fuse was missing and replaced it at no cost. I really appreciated their honesty and helpfulness. Great service, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Thanks, Logan and the Pep Boys team!

The men always try to overcharge me for services I don’t even need, and I always have to wait at least 3 hours before they even start working on my car. I love the front desk girls they are super sweet! But don’t get anything done here unless you want to pay extra and waste hours waiting.

I have always had a wonderful experience within that store. They are always on point and I am aware that they might get busy so in regards of my vehicle I always drop it off in the morning and pick it up after work. It is super convenient for me.

I stopped by for the first time on a Sunday afternoon after being discouraged by recent work at my local dealership and looking for another place to get an oil change. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly they were able to fit my car in, even though I hadn't made an appointment. I was in need of new windshield wipers and they were so nice and replaced those for me as well. The guys working were super sweet and never tried to pressure me into additional services. I have found my new shop and will be back. Thank you guys!

Ive had a few good interaction at this location. Usually it's the same big guy and a lady. Always very nice. Even the times when the were running behind schedule. The always , always communicated that as soon as I came in. This time I arrived 10 minutes early before my appointment. The big lady that I've never seen before was short and nasty rude. Not once but twice. I returned 30 minutes later that it would be another hour before they got to it. They most don't understand what an appointment means. I took my car somewhere else. Unfortunately the other people were nice but this nasty big lady needs to go. There's a car on almost ever block.

When I originally called Logan was very kind and helpful which was one of the factors as to why I chose to get serviced here, but when I arrived it was a completely different level of service from a different person. She couldn’t answer any of my questions and didn’t tell me any pricing or anything about what they were doing. Moved forward with a headlight restoration and they said because they don’t have the bulbs on site that if I got the bulbs and came back by they would switch them out for free so less than a week later I come back and they said I was nowhere in their system and that it would be a $20 charge just to switch out the bulbs. I called grease monkey one minute away and they said come on by, they changed out my bulbs for free and fit me in as soon as I pulled up. Get better help and communication.

I have had great experience anytime I have taken my cars for different services to PepBoys location in Morrisville. What stands out is great customer service and honesty led from the very front my the store manager Mr. Howard. A couple of times when competitors had given me not so accurate information, Howard and his PepBoys team at Morrisville location helped me out. Thank you Howard and Team for still keeping the human touch with utmost courtesy in a business line where trust is very important. Wish you all the very best!

Booking an appointment, even for early in the morning means nothing, the last 3 visits I’d schedule 4-7 days out and I’ll watch my cars wait 30-1:30 after I check in to get driven into the shop. Prices are kinda high for a grease monkey shop, but reasonable market wise. I would also like to say bring your own torque wrench, after having my tires replaced one wheel had only 1 lug nut near spec, 3 were very loose, and one completely backed out within 200 miles of driving. “Yada yada yada, come back and get a free re-torquing, yada yada” shouldn’t have been able to back out that fast if it was set to 103 ftlbs properly the first time. The technician probably only ugga dugga’d that wheel on with a dead impact. If the tech can’t perform the basics of tightening the wheels why should I trust them with anything else safety/mechanical again. Aaaand they also couldn’t align the yellow dot with the valve stem, in turn they had to stack wheels weights on top of each other to counteract the imbalance, and what they also didn’t do was put the weights on straight either, so real soon they will get peeled up as half the weight is on the barrel. At 500 miles in a front tire developed a heavy shake (weight must have flung off) and needs to be re-balanced at another shop I can trust

Extremely knowledgeable and very high quality professional work is done here. Very polite and friendly behavior. No point in going to any other place to get your car fixed. Very authentic people work in this Pep Boys location at Morrisville. I am just blown away every time by the quality of service and professionalism that I receive from this Pep Boys. May God bless them.

Avoid this place! I had my Mazda’s throttle body replaced here which cost me over $1000. After one week check engine light came on due to throttle body problems. I went back since the repair is supposed to be under warranty they were supposed to replace it again. They said it’s an electrical problem and only dealer can fix it. I did not take their word. I watched a few YouTube videos, ordered a new throttle body from amazon and in 1.5 hours replaced their faulty throttle body they put in just a week before. Now the car is working fine and check engine light is gone. I regret going here. Don’t make the same mistake. Interacted with Howard who is a mechanic there but he had a “don’t care” attitude the whole time. I was charged over $500 for part and 3 hours of labor. While I bought the part for $150 myself and did the replacement in half of that time, and I am not a mechanic.

I’ve been here a handful of times before with little to no issue. Today was unfortunately very disappointing. I noticed I had a hole in one of my tires and called to check that they had time to see me right away, they said they did. So I come in and get checked in no problem, at this point I’m the only customer in the store. I have had to get tire repairs a few times and it has never taken so long. Rather than simply fixing my tire, the only reason I was at pep boys, they gave me a quote for new brake pads which they seemed to prioritize over actually fixing my car tire. But thanks for the quote I guess? I then sat for over an hour waiting for them to fix my tire. 3 other customers came and went as I waited, but maybe they had an appointment or somehow had a simpler repair. When I checked in with an employee at the front desk, she told me that usually it takes about 45 minutes to get the wheel off and then another 45 to fix the tire. What the hell? I’m a 19 year old girl and I’ve gotten my own tire off in 5 minutes. I honestly had no idea what she was talking about and just wanted to get my tire fixed somewhere else at this point, so I said I would just go ahead and pay so I could get my car back as soon as possible. They parked it for me promptly and did not charge me for the service which I really appreciated, especially as despite their efforts my tire was still leaking air. I just wish I hadn’t wasted so much of my day. I can’t say I would come back or recommend this shop to anyone else.
