I first used this shop because Progressive recommended them to me. They did good work the first time I used them so a couple years later I REQUESTED to use them again through Progressive. I took my car in and they gave me a loaner vehicle just like before which was great. I accidentally rubbed the loaner against a post that holds up my covered parking where I live and when I took the loaner back to the shop I made sure they knew where the damage was as I wanted to be upfront and honest about it. It was my mistake and I owned up to it. When I got my car back ( 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic 6 Speed ) I noticed a little "play" in the shifter that wasn't there before. It didn't concern me at the time because I thought hey this is a shop and if they broke something they could easily fix it. This was not the case. Fast forward about 2 months while I was driving the vehicle the shifter broke loose while I was driving it. I had to quickly put on my hazards and maneuver into an apartment complex parking lot. I was stuck in third gear. I drive 2 miles to a Pep Boys and bought some vice grips to get it home. Whoever broke it had over-tightened the upper bolt and nut to try and re-secure the shifter in place. This is a car I have owned for about 5 years and driven over 50,000 miles in. I have shifted this vehicle thousands of times. I know the shifter was not broken when I took it in. I thought this over for weeks to try and determine how to get this fixed. I called the shop this morning and the female who answered simply stated that "We don't drive the cars" which is not true. Someone had to drive the car from where I left it to the bay where it would be worked on and then take the car out for safety test drive. Clearly this person doesn't know how the operations of this shop works. 1 of 2 plausible scenarios must have happened: A) Someone at this shop does not know how to drive a manual transmission and forcefully tried to change gear and broke it; or, B) During the safety test drive some one didn't know my car has a skip shift feature to keep the vehicle from redlining and tried to force into a gear breaking the shifter. Either way, the shop broke the part and tried to hide it ( negligence ) and did not tell me about and eventually the part broke while I was driving it (felony endangerment). Stay away from this shop if you value your vehicle, your safety and the safety of your loved ones.

We called and book an appointment for our truck to be looked by Platinum Paint & Body so they could provide a quote for repairs. We decided to pay out of pocket for our repairs to avoid an insurance claim. The person we booked the appointment with was very nice and professional. After bringing the truck down, the estimator stated to give him a day or so to put together numbers for the repairs and he would send it over. After a few days went by, we still didn't receive a quote, we called down to check on the quote and was told the quote was almost done and they were waiting on the owner to approve the quote. They stated we would have the quote by 4:00 pm that day, the next day we still did not receive the quote. We called again and was told they would have the quote to us by 1:00 pm, again did not receive the quote. We called again and finally talked to the owner of Platinum Paint & Body. He asked us if we were going to have them make the repairs, we told him we wanted the quote prior to scheduling the repairs. He told us if we schedule the repairs, they will send over a quote. We told him we wanted to know what the cost would be before scheduling, he stated they were to busy to send over a quote, if we wanted to know the price then we would have to schedule the repairs to be made. How do you expect someone to book a service/repair without knowing the cost. It leaves the door open for them to charge whatever they want. The owner seem to not care and stated multiple times, they were to busy and there is nothing they can do. If that is truly the case, why didn't someone tells us that a week ago when we were calling? Why waste a week of our time if you are to busy? Why tell us the quote is almost done and waiting to be approved when the owner said the quote hasn't been created. The previous employee's we talked to lied about the quote, the customer service from the owner was horrible, I can't imagine what their workmanship looks like. STAY AWAY, THEIR TO BUSY!!!

LONG REVIEW!!.... This body shop was recommended by the dealer (Horne Hyundai in AJ) when someone hit me in a parking lot and cracked my front bumper. I got my car back yesterday (8/24). Overall the quality of the work seems great. My car looks just like it did before it got hit. The only cons I have is the time it took. I drop off the car around 7/30, I was told it would be done by Friday (8/02) unless there was more damage once the bumper was taken out. I was told they would call me if there was more damage. I was never called, so i thought there was no more damage. I called around Tuesday (8/06) and I was told they just finished it. They even asked what time i was picking it up. So I drove the next day from East mesa all the way to Tempe. I got there and I was told it had more damage. They had asked the insurance company for an extra 2-3 days. That they were sorry for the confusion. So 2 weeks go by and they never called me. I got a called finally on Saturday (8/24) and I went to pick it up. After they gave me the paper work I got in the car to leave and I see my windshield broken! Which it was not when I left it. It look like it got hit by something a little under the wipers on the passenger side. The crack spread all the way to the middle of the windshield. I was going to go back inside to let them know but honestly I needed the car back already (3 weeks without it). I decided to pay to replace it myself and just left. -1 star for the long time & -1 star for cracking my windshield and not let me know or repair it. If it wasn’t for that this would of been a perfect review because honestly the car looks great.

My insurance company sent me to this shop to get my vehicle fixed after it had been damaged by thieves. After getting my vehicle back from the shop, i noticed things had been gone through inside my vehicle. I had documented by photos the conditions of both the inside and outside of my vehicle prior to taking it to the shop. I called and spoke to the manager of the shop. He was very unprofessional and wouldn't even listen to my concerns. He kept telling me i was wrong and that i was lying. Something as simple as a "I'm sorry and will look into this situation" would have been greatly appreciated. But all i got was attitude and yelled at from the manager who stated "I've owned this shop for 20 years and this has never happened before" i contacted my insurance company and they told me they wouldn't send claims to this shop in the future. I just want people who do take their vehicle to this shop, to be careful and document your personal belongings prior to taking it to them. I want to be clear, they didn't take or steal anything that i have noticed. But they did rummage through my personal item located inside my vehicle. They also left cigarette butts on my engine, that i found when i opened up my hood. I'm not a smoker and they were not there when i took them the vehicle. So its obvious the butts were left there by someone at their shop. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP TO ANYONE!

Overall, this place is good. We went into an accident and it took more than one month to get it repaired. The paint work is good but it left some smell in the car and last forever. The belt got painted a little but it's not a big deal. Thank all the mechanician for repair our car.

I really liked the service, response and customer service of this place. I left my vehicle for repair and they were pretty responsive and did a good job connecting with me and my insurance provider thus providing some relief for the hassles which I would have otherwise in being a middleman between the insurance company and the repair shop. In addition they were quick in repair and did a good job, kudos for that.

This place does excellent work. If this was about the job they did on my car...then I'd say 5 stars. The staff was for the most part friendly. The whole expierence was not awful. The time it took to finish the work...that's my main issue. They had my car for over a month claiming they were waiting for parts. I tried to get a loaner car from them and at first they said they dont have loaner cars there. After a couple weeks I called back and mentioned a rental and they said that all their loaners were out. So I guess they do have loaners...but know they are all out now. Bottom line..the work they did was great! Just took a little longer then i thought. I kinda felt like i was getting the runaround when I would call. They couldn't give me a relative time frame for when the job would be finished.

My car was taken to this body shop after a not-at-fault accident which was covered under the other driver’s insurance. They replaced my hood, repainted some areas and repaired some dents and scratches. All was well and then a couple of years later, the paint on my hood started acting funny and fading extremely fast (almost like it was having a strange chemical reaction). I brought the car in for them to look at and the owner himself looked the car over and told me it would be covered under their paint warranty (yay!) They were very responsive and were even nice enough to get me a free rental while the work was being done. Picked it up today and the new paint looks fantastic! He said what had happened to my car was not their usual standard and so they wanted to make it right and stand behind their work. They were very honest and straightforward and made the entire process very easy. I would absolutely trust this company to work on my car. Very happy and satisfied with level of service!

Progressive insurance sent me hear worst customer service I have ever encountered. They switched the shop fees 3 different times I have text messages to prove it. The lady that answers the phone pretty much called me a lier. Car was so dirty when I picked it up you would think they would at least wash it when it’s done. This shop is so shady if they send you here you’re better off going somewhere else pick your own shop not the insurance crooked shop. I am also missing a item I had left in my trunk I’ll just take it as a loss this shop is so disgusting I wouldn’t even try and contact them for the item.

It's pretty clear that this body shop has little incentive to provide good customer service, because Progressive just feeds them their customers (they don't have to earn them). The first time I walked into the business, nobody was there to greet me and there were no signs indicating what I should do. I wondered for several minutes if I was in the right place. After I finally found someone to help me drop off my vehicle, they told me that I would have an estimate on time/cost of the work within one full business day, but I didn't get one until I called them myself almost three days later. That said, they were always willing to answer my questions when I called and their partnership with Enterprise helped make getting a rental car a bit smoother. Additionally, they were flexible in working with my schedule by allowing me to come pick up my finished vehicle at 7:15pm. The work they did in on the car was good and had adequately repaired the damage from a minor fender bender.

I was referred here by Progressive because of an accident. After I dropped my car off, they called me within the next few days with an estimate for when my car would be done. I couldn’t get a rental car, so I was worried at first when they said it would take nearly a month. However, they finished my car 13 days early. My only complaint here is that they told me to pickup my car, but when I was on my way they told me it would not be done until the next day. It was just disappointing cause I had to pay for a ride and we were already halfway through that hour ride. I would also add that I was a bit confused when I walked in, as the entrance seems like walking into an office workspace. Just know you’re in the right place. I spoke to the first person I saw each time. The employees were professional and kind as well. They went above and beyond in my car repairs and I am so happy to have it back in beautiful condition. They even did some cleaning before I picked it up!

So I am new to Arizona and my car was hit and the insurance company suggested platinum paint and body. I was reluctant and the local dealership referred this company as well. I had scheduled an appointment and the morning of my appointment then owner called personally. I was greeted by kind warm welcoming knowledgeable staff and I felt comfortable leaving my car. My car was ready when they said it would be and fixed to my understanding that all original parts were used. They did a great job and took exceptional.care of me. I felt the work was done well it looks great and I felt the job was not rushed but done well and it looks good as new. Alfredo did a great job and even personally walked my car when I picked it up to make sure it was all completed to my satisfaction. I absolutely recommend this body shop. I typically don't recommend auto body shops as the experience is usually mediocre but this experience was great! Not to mention they offer the option to rent you a car or there is an enterprise less than a mile away. I used the enterprise rental company and they offered to drop the car off for me if need be. Above and beyond at every turn. Thank you to the entire team at platinum!

Friendly people, fast service, quality work. What a joy it was to have them nearby when we needed some body work done. Our insurance company referred them and I’m so glad they did. So I took my car there as it was the preferred service from Progressive Progressive deemed the repairs to costly so I went through my insurance. I asked the shop. Is it OK if I leave my vehicle there? I’ll be right for the estimate. The shop said yes, no problem even offered to give me a rental vehicle Week and a half went by and nothing had gotten done and State Farm. My insurance never reached out to platinum, paint, body and platinum paint body also never reached out to State Farm. So then I decided to take my vehicle to a State Farm recommended agency when I went to pick up my vehicle. I have a charge for the cost of the estimate process but then they also charge me $150 per day for my vehicle to be there for 16 days. This is something that should’ve been told to me when I asked if it’s OK to leave my vehicle something like “ yeah it’s OK. It cost $150 a day storage fees, but that’s no big deal cause insurance usually pays for it.” It really makes it seem like since they’re not getting to repair the vehicle that they’re gouging me for as much money as possible. The total cost to tear down the vehicle was over $3000. This seems like a very shady place to do business with.

I had a coworker accidentally run into our Toyota Camry in the parking lot recently and it caused some damage to the left front bumper area/headlight. Platinum was fantastic through the process of going through insurance and also helped with coordinating us getting picked up for our insurance rental and let us drop it off onsite as we picked uo the car. Platinum Paint and Body is the BEST of the BEST! We had my husband’s car painted here along with some bodywork and they did a phenomenal job. Then, when my vehicle was hit I knew exactly where we would be taking it to get it fixed. When I called the shop they were prompt in helping me navigate how my vehicle could be fixed. Working with insurance can be a pain, but they were beyond helpful with the communication with my insurance company. The damage to my vehicle was extensive and I knew it would take some time but they were honest and realistic about that timeline. When I picked up my vehicle it looked brand new again. They took every bit of time to make sure it was flawless. I would recommend Platinum Paint and Body to anyone. From service to staff they are top tier and I’m so glad we found them. If you are shopping around for the right body shop this is the place to go!
