Came in several years ago when they first started and just making the review now. It was a simple job to change out an air intake and they gave me a fair price and were very careful with my car, despite it being a small job. While I was there I saw a lot of cool sports cars and it was clear that they are passionate about their work. On my way out I accidentally backed my car into one of the mechanics well-maintained Subaru WRX, I felt like such an idiot. They all came out to look at the damage and after assessing that it was just a little paint/body damage they told me not to worry about it and sent me on my way. Place is ran by some good stand up guys, I appreciate their show of kindness to this day.

PM autoworks did an excellent job replacing my transmission in my 2018 WRX. Randy kept me well updated with the service from start to finish and had my car back on the road without delay. I definitely recommend bringing your Subaru here for all your needs. Thank you PM Autoworks!

Came in without an appointment for some advice on servicing. Randy was helpful and provided recommendations to keep my wagon in tip top shape. Will update the review after I actually get the servicing done.

PM Autoworks is a great place! The owner and his workers are great and very helpful. They did a great job on my car and got me in quickly. The pricing is way better than going to a dealership. I will be continuing to go with PM Autoworks from now on.

I had a great experience with this auto repair shop. They were professional, honest, and truly went above and beyond. I had taken a day off work and they managed to squeeze me into a packed schedule, which I really appreciated. They were thorough in their inspection and even found a few leaks starting that I never would’ve noticed—and the dealership definitely never mentioned. The cost was very reasonable—much less than what the dealership would’ve charged. It’s rare to find a shop that’s this trustworthy and transparent. Highly recommend!

You will not go wrong bringing your Subaru here. I've never been taken care of as well as this shop, and I now understand why my fellow Subi buds use them. It worth going out of your way to see these guys even if you're not local. I came all the way from Folsom! A few months ago, they replaced my clutch, master cylinder hose, and fixed an illusive shifting issue in my manual transmission. They were the second shop to diagnose it and I'm really glad I said no to the first shop. They would have charged me thousands for a new transmission and not even fixed the issue. After coming here, they offered a fair price, had multiple mechanics diagnose the issue together, and my Forester has been driving like a champ since! Thanks again, PM Autoworks!

Took my 2012 Legacy here a couple of months ago. I took it to an oil change shop and the transmission fluid changed, but within a week I was having issues with the transmission. I took it to PM and they gave me a couple of options of what could be wrong with the transmission. After the inspection, it seemed to be really low on transmission fluid. Something simple but I have never owned a car with a CVT transmission. Now the car shift smooth and no more hard shifting. I would recommend this place to anyone with a Subaru. They are honest and they give you options so you can stay within your budget.

After trying to find a shop to replace my clutch I’m glad I went to PM Autoworks. They were able to get me scheduled pretty quickly. I took my car in the morning and I was able to pick it up before they closed. Quality service and cool employees is why I’ll be taking my car here.

I had gone to a couple mechanics because my 2016 WRX was misfiring. I ended up at a dealer that told me they needed to pull out the engine and clean the valves which was about 5K. Looking for a second opinion. I spoke with Sun and he explained he didn’t think it was the valves. He booked me for the soonest appointment and began to work on the car. I was getting updates as they ran a diagnostic (which I thought was great) and told me what route they would take for each possible scenario. Turns out it was a spark plug that had went bad. This shop saved me thousands of dollars!! Great customer service as well! When picking up my car they explained to me other maintenance routines and common issues that might come up as the car gets older. Thanks again!

Best Subaru shop in the bay area and it isn't even close. The absolute bosses here will take care of your car. They know more about Subaru than the dealers do. Wouldn't dare go anywhere else. Thanks Carlos and Randy.

I came to PMA to get my Whiteline sway bars and endlinks installed a couple months ago. The service was quick and easy, especially with it being just as the COVID lockdowns had started. They made the total experience great, super friendly and welcoming. The car feels great and drives amazing. I returned to PMA to get my stage 2+ short shifter and bushings installed about a month after. The whole process was seamless from scheduling to drop off and pick up. Each time I’ve come in it has always felt like I’m a part of the family, I’m glad I found my local shop for my 2019 STI.

The folks at PM Autoworks are very responsive and helpful. I reached out to them to get some work done on my car and my experience has been very positive. They always kept me updated with the status of my car and had a pretty quick turnaround time to get the job done. The technicians were also very friendly and helped answer quite a few questions that I had for them. I will definitely consider reaching out to them for any future work on my car.

There's this fun thing that Subaru WRX/STi owners do when they cross paths with other Subie owners. We usually wave, say hi, throw up the peace sign, or shaka. That community feeling and vibe is what PM AutoWorks showed me when they took on the role of rebuilding my 04 Subaru Impreza WRX STi motor. Before heading out to their shop in San Jose, I was in contact with Ricky who helped me define my rebuild goals for my motor and clearly explained the motor rebuild and performance upgrade estimate/quote. On the day of my arrival, I was greeted by a portion of the team including Ricky, Peter, Randy, and Nick. For my rebuild, Randy led the charge and I trusted him to revive my STi from her sleeping slumber. Throughout the rebuild progress, the team would shoot me text updates and photos of the engine rebuild. I really enjoyed seeing their work and it made me love their team and speed shop even more. In addition, they also discovered other weak points in my engine system such as a cracked down pipe and worn out engine mounts which they sorted out easily. The overall rebuild felt quick and was around 2 weeks due to all the additional fixes (plus extra goodies I wanted done) on top of the engine rebuild. They were also pretty flexible with holding on to my car for a few days since I'm based out of Sacramento and I wasn't able to take time off of work to pick up the car right away. Once Ricky started up my STi, my STi sounded so much better than the day I picked it up from the previous owner. Heading back home to Sacramento, I could immediately feel the difference of the engine and I commend PM Autoworks for their diligent and quality work. Here's a bonus for y'all, they even followed up with me a couple days later just to see how the car was doing and if I had any questions. They define quality customer service and I highly recommend them. Even if they're 2.5 hours away from me, I am willing to drive my STi to these guys for my performance needs.

Positive and professional experience from the first phone call and when I went in for service. Love that they use OEM parts and only service Subarus. Went in for a simple oil change and inspection. Will definitely use them again in the future.

Attention all Subie owners: this is your mechanic shop. Honest, quick, and thorough, you can expect a great job from the guys here. Even for a simple oil change, that full inspection is great not only to spot problems, but to notice things that may be an issue in the future in order to be financially prepared. I know my 2024 Impreza is in good hands with them

I waited a couple of months to leave an honest review—and here it is: you could hand over your keys with your eyes closed—PM Autoworks is that trustworthy. They’ve done major work on my WRX: clutch replacement, walnut blasting, spark plugs, throttle body, oil changes. I’m pretty picky, and even though the new clutch didn’t feel quite right at first (which turned out to be a part issue, not their fault), they brought me back in multiple times—no charge—until everything felt perfect. Eventually, they replaced the entire clutch under full warranty, completely free. Their clutch quote was about $600 cheaper than other Bay Area shops I contacted, and they never tried to upsell or overcharge. They sent detailed photos, kept communication clear, and genuinely cared about getting things right. I'd also like to add that even these major repairs were always completed within a day, which is a plus if you have a tight work schedule. This is the shop I fully trust—and I’ll keep going back.

I had a very good experience with PM Autoworks! My engine had been leaking oil for some time from several locations, and despite being experienced with cars myself, I knew this was a job I would rather leave up to professionals, and that they were. I received detailed pictures of the work being done to my car, updates on issues and timelines, and stellar communication. The pricing was very on-point for the level of service I was provided. I will not hesitate to bring my car back to PM Autoworks!
