They seem to make up their own prices they started off at $180 which is the highest thing I've ever heard in my life and then they dropped it down to 120 and I thought no way and then I got a discount down to 80 and then I failed and then they try to tell me that it was going to be 80 again for a retest and then I said I'm not doing that again then they marked it down to 40 so they just make up their own prices and it's ridiculous

Worst job ever. They patch tires from outside, something that you can do yourself. They don’t even clean the puncture first. A patch from outside is going to let water come in and damage your tire. DON’T GO THERE FOR ANY REPAIR

Posted price for smog check is $58, they charged me $68, when I asked why the guy pointed at the copy he gave me and said because I need a certificate. What do you even mean by that, stick to your posted prices, keep that 10 bucks but I'll tell people about it on reviews.

I brought my car in for a smog test, I only had to wait about 30 minutes and there is a sandwich shop across the street by the time I finished eating my sandwich my car smog test and paperwork was already for much less than other places I've been to. This place is right across the street from the San Francisco general hospital.

Got a quote for a job, went in and handed over the key. The owner seemed like he was in a rush. He parked my car on the sidewalk, and there was a garden barrier with a metal bracket. He hit it, the corner was super sharp. Not sure if it dinged the bumper. I don’t really care, but that kind of service is unacceptable. If they don’t even take good care of the customer’s car, there’s no way I’d trust them to work on my engine. No thanks. Anyway, the story continues. Shortly after I left to run some errands, they called me, right in the middle of something, to say the job couldn't be done due to difficulty, and now the quote was double the original price. I told them to hold off, canceled what I was doing, and went back to pick up my car. I was pissed. If they had quoted me double from the start, I’d be okay, at least I could consider it. But changing the price after I dropped off the car, that’s wasting people’s time. I picked up the car and remembered a nearby shop I’d talked to before, they seemed friendly. Gave them a call, and guess what, they quoted me the same as the original price from the first shop. Dropped off the car, and boom, job done. So what's up with that first shop, avoid them at all costs. Second story. My sister-in-law brought her car there because of a warning light on the dashboard. They couldn’t fix it either. I don’t know all the details, but after that, I’m even more skeptical about this shop.

BEWARE SHADY BUSINESS!!!! THEY WILL OBLIGATE THEMSELVES TO WORK THAT THEY ARE NOT CAPABLE OF DOING!!!! I brought my vehicle in for standard 100,000-mile maintenance, which included a tune-up, a transmission flush, and addressing a minor leak in the water pump hoses. However, after the repairs, the check engine light began to appear, something that was not an issue before. Despite repeated attempts by Potrero to fix the problems, the vehicle became noisy and barely drivable. Ford later confirmed that the work was not completed correctly, including issues with the timing and improper transmission fluid levels. Additionally, Potrero instructed me to purchase a transmission filter, which I bought from Ford, but Potrero never installed it and I never received the filter back despite being charged. This is further proof of Potrero’s dishonesty and their failure to complete the work properly. Furthermore, Potrero also instructed me to purchase a catalytic converter from Ford, referring to "bank two." When Ford was confused, Potrero clarified that it meant the rear catalytic converter. After I purchased and had it installed, Potrero then claimed it was the wrong part and replaced it with a cheaper front catalytic converter. They did not reimburse me for the cost of the rear converter, only returning the core fee that Ford would have refunded. This place is dishonest and does shady work. After spending a total $10,508.48. Part with Potrero and then with Ford to correct all the damage Potrero caused, my vehicle is finally fixed.
