I have been worned not to go here but it was the closest to my house. Seemed like a decent place when walking in, a bit out dated. They are in no hurry to get ur engine back to you so make sure u have a week or two of spare time after they quoted me 2-3 days and once getting it back expect below to bare minimum workmanship with no accountability for their mess ups. After a week and a half you would think they would have time to do it right but instead At the end of it i am on the way to a new shop and will not be returning. It certainly was a learning experience.....

I can't say this is a 1 star business because the customer service was good and they worked with me on the details that I wanted. However, back when I had the work done, half of my rods were mounted backwards on the pistons, not a huge issue as I fixed it while I was building my engine. Second, when my block was machined and cleaned, threads weren't chased (I didn't specifically ask for it, but thought it was part of cleaning) and the oil galley plug was removed and never reinstalled, again, not a major problem. Issue number 3 that I just discovered while upgrading my heads, 7/8 of the valve seals installed in one of the heads were installed improperly, and the one that was installed properly had the spring snap, and I cannot reasonably say that it was just a defective seal. After chasing oil consumption issues and why I always had oil in the exhaust, I can safely say it was caused by the work done here.

I have been using Precision for about 8 years now. I have my own auto repair shop in Middleburg. I followed Ralph to here from Dover Cylinder Head when he was in the industrial loop in orange park. I have talked with Barry several times, and he seems like a nice guy, never met him, but i know Ralph has always done a great job for me for 19 years now. Came here for a resurfacing job, originally quoted at $65. It was a day late and they charged me double. Most resurfaces jobs around town are $75 or less. So, I talked to the owner, who was rude and forced a refund down my throat when all I asked was to be charged the original price. I recommend you take your business elsewhere.
