Yesterday I heard a pop from my tire as I was driving in the freeway so I pulled over. I was in between Cushing pkwy and auto mall exit. I called Rich’s smog and auto repair it so happens they had a used tire fit for my rim. The guy heard my story and helped me out. He didn’t charge me for the used tire just gave it to me but charged to the installation labor I thought I hit the jackpot and I was able to get back on the road again.

Very Bad experience with this shop. I bought my tires from tirerack and shipped them there because it was close to home. 1- They open too late and mostly never answer and/or return customer calls. 2- they only have two times to install the tires, really? At least that's what they told me. 3- i would think they would call you once your tires arrive, but no, you have to be calling consistently. 4- i drove all they way from work (livermore) to install the tires and they dont even have the proper tools to lift up my car? I was expecting a high quality shop. I ended up wasting 2 hours of work and end up with nothing. Terrible service people. Look somewhere else when they have proper tools/machine to do the job to your vehicle.

Rich’s did a heck of a job on getting some locked tire lug nuts that I didn’t have the key to off my FR-S. Not only did they stay late and get me in last minute to get it done, they were friendly and involved me in the process to learn more about how locking nuts work. They also replaced my two front tires, installed new standard lug nuts all around, as the dealer I bought the car from only replaced the rear tires, and did a heck of a job- speedy and with immense quality of service. I don’t trust my car with many people as I can be pretty neurotic about it, but I would trust my car with the dudes at Rich’s any day! Shoutout to the owner, Billy, and his dude Monroe for their hard work and honesty.

The crew here are very knowledgeable and take great pride to do the job right. Do not hesitate to trust your vehicle here for jobs big or small. I've come for the expert wheel balancing and to replace the clutch in a Honda Civic and Toyota FJ. Billy has offered good advice on the ancillary items and what I can expect with the vehicle. As well, great communication during the larger jobs; they experienced a defective part from the supplier which was caught during the test drive and ensured a corrected part was installed, letting me know what was going on. I find the prices to be fair and probably what you'd expect.

Recently had my vehicle repaired here through AAA. My car was involved in an accident and I was surprised that they can also do paint and body work here. They were able to make all the repairs in only 2 days. I was highly satisfied with the work. A week later I brought my car in once again to have all 4 tires replaced and I was in and out in no time. Very knowledgable service people here quick and friendly. Located right in front of Tesla and off 880 freeway. Quick and convenient.
