Can't say enough about our experience. Do not live in Savannah but have two daughters in school there. One needed transmission serviced, so I called and set up appointment for her and got a quote. They did exactly as I asked, got her in and out quickly and my daughter loved how she was treated. Ann was so kind to her and gave her a lot of advice. We will definitely return when we need to. Oh, by the way, they charged about $30 less than the quote they gave me. Thanks so much!

I cannot recommended this place enough. I am an out of towner and my transmission blew during vacation. They explained to me exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. The transmission needed to be rebuilt and cost 4200$. Well worth the price. Everyone was super friendly and understanding of my situation. If I ever have transmission issues I will gladly drive or tow my car the 4 hours to have these guys work on it!

I didn’t really have the best experience here. They did a diagnostic on my vehicle that was incorrect. I need to know who puts “possibly” within the problem statement? For a professional you should be able to tell exactly what the issue is. The lady at the desk was very polite but I could tell she did not really know what she was talking about. I wasted my money with a company I thought was possibly professionals.

This is the only shop I've ever been to that didn't try to screw me over on prices. They helped me troubleshoot my self installed transmission after it was giving me trouble post-installation. Extremely knowledgeable staff that were a pleasure to deal with. Just great people doing great work. There are 8 car shops between my house and Rincon transmission on mall blvd., I will choose Rincon transmission first every time...

Super transparent and helpful folks. They explained what was going on with my transmission and gave me a price over the phone. They explained that I had a leak coming from a pressure port and was 4 qt low on oil and that it would cost around $135 for labor and oil. Great Service! I thought I had a serious Transmission problem. They diagnosed the problem before the time promised. Turns out that it was just worn out U-joints. We were traveling to Pooler, Ga to meet with my daughter and granddaughter For Christmas and her car engine light came on. It seemed that the transmission was having problems. We found Ricon transmission by doing a google search. Within hours they gave us a diagnostics and told us where to go for repairs because it wasn't related to the transmission. They were honest, polite, and trustworthy. If you have transmission problems you need to go Ricon transmissions.

The only negative I have about this place is that I almost drove past it because I barely saw their sign. The place has "your Dad's shop" vibe to it. Now, the young lady that answered the phone is very pleasant and professional. All necessary information was given upfront. How long the repair would possibly take depending on parts availability and price. They even have a drop box so you can drop your vehicle off after hours in the event your work schedule clashes with theirs. Quick diagnosis, I was called the very next day with the issue and a quote. Quality professional work done and I had them change the filter and fluid in my transmission while they had it. When dealing with engine and transmission work the price can get a bit high. This shop gave me what I was looking for at a reasonable cost. Oh, and a military 🪖 discount.

I called in the day before and let them know the issues that I was having with my 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and they let me know they could check the fluid level for X price and it would be X price to diagnose transmissions problems in addition. I brought it in in the morning; they were done by 4pm checking the fluid level. However, I'm told that they do not work on transmissions of hybrid vehicles despite the fact that they gave me a quote to diagnose the transmission if the fluid level showed fine the previous day. The lady in the office couldn't have been nicer, however this review is mostly to say that if you have a hybrid they cannot help you at this location and you should find a shop who can or go to your dealer.

In speaking with them on the phone and also having our vehicle at their establishment, everyone we interacted with was *above* and beyond professional, knowledgeable, and understanding. Straightforward with the diagnosis, any and all options available, pricing, helped see if they could find a compatible transmission for our '07 Kia (which isn't manufactured anymore). We wanted a second opinion apart from the dealer we normally go to about what was actually going on with our vehicle, and RT came highly recommended. Easy to see why. They were able to give us more in detail info about the problem than we had from the dealer. More info to get the full scope and make a more knowledgeable decision on what was best for our situation. We did not get our transmission replaced there only because we've opted to go ahead and buy a replacement vehicle. But, if we decided to keep the vehicle, RT would've been the ones we wanted doing the work. Will recommend.
