Got my project car painted here back in 2016. Garaged ever since and just got around to putting an engine in it to drive it this past month. I decided to buy fresh Type R badges to replace the faded ones and while carefully removing the badge that was applied by the shop when it was painted, the paint peeled off with the double-sided tape. Didn’t mind other imperfections I’ve found over the years such as overspray on the moldings, clearly showing that this wasn’t even done during the job, but this was too egregious not to share. After showing a local body shop, they concluded that the paint didn’t adhere to the paint properly or the sealer they used. They also noted that cheap paint was used if it’s peeling off that easily. Unfortunately the rest of the car will peel eventually, so an entirely new paint job will be needed. Due to this, I can’t recommend this shop to anyone under the owners at the time (assuming it’s still the same ones since this paint job was done in 2016). I want to re-emphasize that this car hasn’t been driven outdoors since the paint job until this past month. Regardless if it would have, this shouldn’t happen with a paint job from a reputable shop.★☆☆☆☆ 2 years ago
