If you want good service DO NOT come here. I brought in my Nissan Sentra to get an alignment and to get my breaks checked and worked on. I set an appointment days in advance to have my car seen. They took my car in at 11 and said they would be calling me shortly to inform me what the cost would be since we were not sure which breaks may or not be needing attention. Hours went by and I never received a call. I called them and they said they were test driving my car. And would call me back with an answer. Hours go by again and I decide to call them again. They answer and said they still were figuring things out and that the manager would call me back. I STILL never got a call back. At 5:15 I go back to the location considering they were about to close in 15 minutes. They cited being busy which is fine but they consistently left me out the loop and never gave me updates. They said they found no issues with my breaks and didn’t even do the alignment. I left paying a 76 dollar fee for them just to check my breaks. I was never informed there would be a fee for checking my breaks. They were unprofessional and lacked communication. I left with a days worth of my time as well as 76 dollars wasted. It’s a big disappointment that many reviews seem to be positive but this was the service that I was given.

Quality, honest, hospitable, efficient service This was my first time getting service at Roy’s, which I found and chose based their number and quality of reviews when I searched auto care in my area. The reviews all made reference to the great customer service and after my visit, I completely agree. When I first called asking if they could service my AC, the staff member I talked to was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The staff cordially asked that I bear with them while they finished other customers’ services and worked me in and I expected to be waiting for a decent amount of time since I was a walk in. I barely waited 5 min and they were able to fit me in right away even as a new customer walk-in. They provided me with their recommendations of what to first address based on what was necessary and most economical rather than automatically jumping to high cost repair. The service was efficient and before I knew it, they were finished. They went over services performed and were very knowledgeable and informative. Extremely friendly and professional staff and service. This experience has left me feeling very comfortable and confident in this shop and I will definitely return for future service.

I have recently started using Roy's Automotive and I have been very pleased. It is easy to set up and appointment and they finish the work to my satisfaction very quickly. Recently, I had a headlight burn out. They worked me in and took care of me in 20 minutes at almost half the price I had paid at a dealership. I highly recommend Roy's Automotive.

Worst place to go for a black person. I was quoted work on my car which my scholarship was going to pay for from college. I was given the run around for over a week. Only to be called held at and told I couldn’t be helped then hung up on then when I called back to see why I was told you keep calling and we’re not helping you don’t call back and hung up on again. So from my understanding it’s because I’m black because what shop turns away a customer with guaranteed money for a service. The manager on the phone was rude and treated me like I was worthless yelled at me like I was a dog in the street.

Oh my goodness. The Shop is one of a kind. Hats off to Matt and Dee. They are upfront and honest auto repairs professionals. I went in just to see what was making a flapping noise on the right side of my front wheel. Dee took it out for a test drive. When he came back the noise stopped. He saw I was a little puzzled so we both went back out for another longer test drive. The noise returned. I was told that my wheels needed to be rotated and they fixed right then and there. Yay!!! I read great reviews about Roy’s auto center and every positive review is right on. I highly recommend this auto center to anyone who is looking for an affordable, friendly and reliable auto center. I discovered Roy's Automotive a few years when I moved back to Greensboro, and I have not been disappointed!! This was my first time visiting Roy’s and I will 100% be back! I was extremely pleased with every single facet of my experience. There is such a high level of warmth and professionalism! When I called to make an appointment I was able to speak to the owner and she immediately made me feel at ease. Every single staff member I encountered was so pleasant and kind! My vehicle was taken care of and the work was top notch! Pricing actually came as a surprise because I was expecting it to be more for an oil change. There were no hidden fees no unexpected work or pressure for anything beyond what I needed. I have such a deep feeling of trust and respect with just a single visit. As a woman I felt understood and that everyone was being honest and extremely fair. I will absolutely be a repeat customer as they just gained me for life. Highly recommend!

We have been regular customers of Roy’s for more than 15 years. However, we will never return after our June 2025 experience. Our car was used to run parts and errands for 100 miles, not repaired, left with an empty gas tank, and, when we asked for financial compensation, the check was frozen/blocked. This is borderline illegal and highly unprofessional.

I’ve received great service from Roy’s Automotive on several occasions. On my most recent service they actually saved me from spending several hundred dollars that Precision Tune had told me I needed for brake repairs. Roy’s called and told me that my brakes would be fine for at least a while longer. I was very impressed with their honesty and integrity which can often be missing when it comes to auto repairs. I’ll definitely be returning to Roy’s for any future repairs.

Roy’s was recommended to me by a close friend who has had her car serviced there multiple times. Being new here, I hadn’t a clue where to go. In short, Roy’s is the best automotive center I have had the pleasure of going to. Matt, the service manager, is superb! He was honest about the work my car required, while also saving me money. Additionally, my tail light was replaced free of charge. When I called back, offering to pay for the light )since it was not listed on my invoice), they waived the charge. I have been during business with Roy for 4yrs. This is first time Jamie McIntosh ever took my truck & called it his own. They did danger, agree to fix it, said take one week, from Feb.3, until Feb. 24, 2024...Haven't seen my truck until the 24th...I guess this is the way to do business at Roy Automotive Center....RUN don"t walk away, (Run as fast as you can..)

Came in with no appointment late on a Friday afternoon to get my out-of-state license plate changed (screws were stripped out and awful), Cynthia took me right in -it ended up being more complicated than any of us had thought! They had to cut the screw off! But they got it done, and I COULD NOT HAVE done it by myself. Rumors are that I win the award for most challenging license plate change that they've seen! Now they are replacing my tires at the best price I've been quoted despite calling several places around town over the past few weeks. I've never been to a car place that was able to squeeze in a license plate surgery, tire change, and TPMS replacement less than 2 hours before closing (tires in less than an hour- the plate took a full hour and 20 mins!). Everyone in the shop is really nice and went above and beyond to help me out. I'm new to the area, but they have a customer for life! :)

Wife has been taking her car here for 5 years. Brought it in for a check engine and they found a computer issue, charged 850$ for basically diagnostic work as their initial fix did nothing. Told us it would be 3 weeks to get the part. Since that point in September they have dodged our calls and lied to us during a walk in. Basically just stole 850 for a bogus repair and dumped us as clients. Really really shameful as we liked them alot before.

ZERO STARS !!! I would never recommend Roy’s Automotive. Not only was communication terrible throughout the process, but now they actually have my car and the shop is temporarily closed for business without any notice. To make matters worse, the phone number is disconnected, so there’s no way to reach anyone. No repairs have even been made, despite having my car for months . The absolute worst part is being left completely in the dark with my vehicle still in their possession, no repairs done, the shop shut down, and no working number to contact them. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Beware before trusting this place with your car.

This was my first time at Roy’s. I saw a number of folks recommend them on Nextdoor after some posted frustration in the service at another long-standing tire replacement shop, which has recently been sold to new owners. I decided to give Roy’s a try for my new tires. Their prices were competitive; they function BY APPOINTMENT so you don’t have to dedicate half a day for first-come, first-serve service; they have free WIFI, coffee, and bottled water; and their waiting room and restroom is clean and comfortable. Very happy! The fella that made my appointment even came out to introduce himself to me. I’ll be back!
