In today's over priced BS dealership rip offs telling you that your vehicle needs this and that, then your paying for 90 minutes in labor that actually took them 30. Well those days don't exist here. Samuels is as honest as the day is long and will never sell you on anything that your vehicle doesn't need. He'll respond to your phone call in a timely manor and won't do any work before explaining everything to you. He's not 5 stars, he's 10

I brought my newly purchased car to this place and they took it completely apart before giving me an estimate. On different occasions they showed me different copies of the what was supposed to be the same part taken off my car. Obviously they were showing me random bad looking parts sitting around the shop and saying "see, it needs to be replaced." They seemed to be gauging my ability to pay and adjusting the amount and cost of repairs accordingly. A repair that should have costed a few hundred dollars ballooned into ~2k. Although I never went back, the legacy of this shop's work was felt for a couple of years as I dealt with repairs I suspect were originally caused by this shop. My neighbor suggested this shop and I guess he gets good service from them since he is a long time customer. As a new customer I would beware as if they put you, as a customer, in a short term category, you will be paying the price, not just in cash, but in endless aggravation.

He pointed out a failed part to me right away that two other shops couldn't find - impressive because it was on a Mazda, which he doesn't often work on, while the other guys do. All of the mechanics at Samuels are top notch. They never do more than is needed. They are honest and stand by their work. The owner Elston is always so helpful to me if its a flat, a light bulb or major work. I don't know anything about my car except to drive it. I am so glad they know all about it. I highly recommend Samuels Jaguar. Whether you have a jag or a hoopty, they will take care of you.

The guys at Samuels Jaguar are great! They are Knowledgeable and helpful. I drove in all the way from gloucester and Elston was so kind as to give me a ride to the Green line. My XK8 was running poor and a high end local shop incorrectly diagnosed it after charging me $150, saying it was the catalytic converter. They wanted to charge me $1,000s more for further diag and replacement. Samuel’s found the real problem quick and for much less $$. Very happy and car is running great.

I'm with the majority here that Elston and Bob at Samuels are THE BEST guys to bring your Jaguar to. I bought an Jaguar XJ6 Series III a few years back for my Mom and those guys took great care of me and got it running fantastic. Not only did they get it running great but they were really good about telling me what it needed right away and what could wait and be fixed later. Unfortunately, my Mom ended up not being able to drive so we had to sell it as I had no place for it but I enjoyed the experience so much that I'm in the market for another one and will be taking it to them once I finally buy it. My only complaint is that I live on the south shore and they are in Brighton so it takes a bit of planning for dropping off and picking up. Also, when you go to the shop Elston is a great guy to talk to about not just cars but music as well.
