I went in to have a clunking noise when shifting my automatic x'mission from drive to reverse or neutral to drive vise versa,they diagnose the problem as a bad u joints,I was told the transmission pan is leaking thus they recommended a transmission service as well as an engine tune up by which includes tune up diagnostics.i gave approval to all their recommendations by which it cost 2,300.dollars.they informed me all parts including the transmission fluid were all from NAPA auto parts store thus all OEM( original factory parts).I drove the 1973 dodge van only a few miles later,the transmission clunking noise never got fixed and the reverse gear went out.they are supposedly transmission specialist,they should had found evidence of metal wear in the pan when they did a transmission fluid change but they didnt,didn't, they are so insistent in doing an engine tune up when I didn't even requested one. I think this is the whats going on:santa rosa transmission does not rebuild transmissions,they outsource the job,the whole time I went to check the status of my van,they were constantly shipping out big crates,the only in-house maintenance that they do is not even related to transmissions.just my opinion based on what I saw. Don't go there,go down the street at transco.or Roman's transmission shop if you want honest work.

Came here for an oil change. Synthetic oil for my car (100k–150k miles) cost $109 — a bit steep, but okay. They also diagnosed a torn CV boot and quoted $2,657 for repair. I got the same repair done at the dealership for $1,306. I don’t understand why this shop was more expensive than the dealership — over double the price. Their customer service was friendly, but ultimately I have to give a low rating because of the inflated quote. As a customer, it’s hard to tell when I’m being overcharged, and unfortunately this experience didn’t build trust. I’m sharing this so others can make an informed choice.

I typically give good reviews but in this case I am very disappointed. I have been to SR Transmission before and had good service . However this time - I went in with a coupon which was 1 price then before they started the work I always ask how much and it was going to be $30 more than the coupon price. I asked if they could get closer to the coupon price and there wasn't any negotiating just a flat "no". I have referred them in the past but unfortunately will not recommend them anymore. Again very disappointed.

After losing my go-to shop for maintenance on my vehicle, I randomly picked SR T&CC to service my 2020 Nissan Altima. I’ve been coming here for four months and these guys are great. I’ve come for oil changes and a drive belt replacement. Each time my car was finished in a timely manner and I’m always given a detailed report with no pressure. From start to finish Sal took care of me with true professionalism. The owner and the rest of his staff are very friendly and coffee/hot cocoa to Lyft rides to/from home make my visit a very pleasant experience. Thanks Santa Rosa T&CC

Car issues are stressful for me, especially since I’m not very knowledgeable about vehicles, and Brendan made the entire process feel manageable and clear. (Bless!) Everything was explained thoroughly and patiently, without ever talking down to me. As a 74-year-old woman who is still learning the ins and outs of vehicle care, that meant a lot. They discovered my rear brakes were almost metal-to-metal — something I’m very grateful they caught. I also appreciated that they’re part of Carfax, so they were able to review the full service history of my 12-year-old Honda with me. Their shuttle service was convenient, and when I received my bill, it included detailed photos along with clear explanations of the work performed. Santa Rosa Transmission & Car Care is absolutely exceptional. I am extremely fastidious about my Jaguar E-PACE, so trust is not given easily when it comes to my vehicle.
