The front door of my bmw was painted and the clear coat is now falling off 18 months later and they used a rusted salvaged door latch on the back door which has now failed leaving my car useless. I use my car for work also.

I bought my car on March 29. 2023. It took the body shop a wk to get my front bumper fixed. I picked up my car on April 8. 2023. While I was in my car I noticed that my center cover was open. And I also noticed I have a few things missing. I talked to the manager at the body shop. And they don't me that they are at fault that fews is missing . And they didn't even bother to check my car was lock. I am not happy cuz the body shop don't lock my car. The body shop said the my key fog didn't work. There is a things that you hit the lock buttons inside the door or take the keys out and lock it from the outside..

Had my truck towed here after a front end accident. They replaced the bumper and didn’t fix the mounting bracket so it was crooked when I picked it up. Tow hook was still missing paint and also bent too. Only thing they did that I appreciate is quoted and replaced the headlight that was not part of the accident to insurance.

Brought my car in on may 31st after a small accident through AAA. Insurance covered everything and paid them directly was a super easy process. They fixed everything to perfection - identically matched the paint and damaged head light color. I had an issue with the door handle a few months later and when I called they offered me to come in, had it fixed in 10 mins, and didn’t charge me. Super happy with the customer service and work they did will be going there for all my car needs! Thanks a million :)

Not sure where to leave this review as I know it’s not really up to the mechanics what they charge. Management may encourage them to charge a full half hour for a 5 second tire kick. While I’m still confident in the quality of the work, I couldn’t recommend anyone to have their car serviced here. Their hourly shop rate is now 54% more expensive than my local shop that I’ve been going to. With the way dealerships have been making money hand over fist during and after the pandemic it’s pretty unfortunate to see them continue milking us for all we’re worth. When they told me how expensive the work would be I was still charged 84 dollars for the “half hour” it took to rattle my rear brake dust shield and figure out it was indeed rotted out and needed to be replaced.

Was disappointed to have Shearer auto body charge $400 more on a $1500 minor repair on front fender. That is a pretty big increase on a minor repair on direct payment. They claimed they found more upon working on it after repairs already started. Curious how often this occurs.

This shop is quite possibly the worst shop I've ever dealt with. They are rude and incompetent. They immediately told me that they don't work with USAA. That should have been my first clue. Secondly, they said they had to do their own appraisal / estimate of the necessary repairs. I agreed to that but said I'd like to be contacted BEFORE they started the repairs in case the costs greatly exceeded the original estimate. They acted like this was the craziest request they have ever received. They had my car for three days before they even looked at it and then sent me a form that required me to guarantee payment to them beyond what the insurance company would pay. I told them the insurance company already paid me SO they will not be dealing with the insurance company AND this is why I was asking to see the "new estimate" before they started their repairs. They then told me that they would not work on my car and I was free to come and get it. I don't know what is going on in that shop, but this is not normal; not how you treat a longtime Shearer customer, or how you operate a body shop. I had to give a "star" in order to post, but otherwise, I would say I have never dealt with a shop that was this rude and unable to understand or work with a customer on a very reasonable request: Don't start work on my car until you send me the estimate.

I brought my car to them for a body work quote and it was a hopeless case, so it turns out. The shop could have easily gotten lots of money out of me and left me without a vehicle worth keeping in the end anyway, but they were honest and kind and compassionate instead. This was my second experience with them, with my first visit resulting in the same outcome. I’d go back, but hopefully I won’t have to, fingers crossed. I’d recommend this shop for their honesty and kindness and desire to help me understand my situation and that I should actually NOT put money into my car, even if that means they weren’t going to get my business.
