I have to say, when the previous owner Mike sold the business to Jacob and Mariah, I was a little worried about how quality might change. It hasn't at all. I've been so impressed with how well Jacob and Mariah took over the business, especially with how difficult things have been in the last year. They are both incredibly hardworking, amazing people. Aaron continues to do great work. I don't know what else to say other than he's done a lot of amazing work on our cars and he's one of the most trustworthy mechanics I've met. I wish I had an old car to bring to these guys to work on! While the service rate charged is higher than many in the area Vermont CAS offers high quality repairs, loaner vehicles if needed, and have always been interested in talking to me about what to watch on my car, and what needs immediate repairs. I can't speak to the hot rod side of the business, but they've worked on our cars for the last seven years. I've got an 08 odyssey van that I drive hard with two small kids. They've kept it going, within budget for me and my wife for the last five years.

After recently moving here to VT from CT, both our vehicles were in need of repairs and had to be inspected as well. Great service, especially as a first time customer. My former shop owner left town and recommended VCAS to me. Got my months overdue Vt. Insp, differential/transfer case oils changed, and some new brake parts put on. The price was fair, considering how expensive skilled labor is nowadays, and I left confident the work was done well and I wasn't upsold anything. They also do undercoating and I scheduled an appointment for later in the Autumn for that job.

VT Custom Auto was great- they inquired about communication preferences (text vs call) and promptly updated me when work was done. I'm impressed and will go there again. Update: during my second visit there, the mechanic told me that I had an old air filter and cracked serpentine belt. He replaced those. When I picked up the car, the mechanic showed me the (filthy) filter and the (pitted/cracked) belt. He proved that his diagnosis was accurate so that I had no doubt that he wasn't creating work, but rather helping me identify problems before a breakdown. Well done.

I was looking to have my car undercoated using a new product called Woolwax. After doing some research online, I found Vermont Custom Auto Service and decided to give it a try. From the moment I arrived, everyone was courteous and professional. The owner, Jacob, put the car on the lift, thoroughly cleaned the area to be undercoated, and showed me a few spots with rust — thankfully, nothing serious. I appreciated the transparency and attention to detail. While waiting for the Woolwax application to be completed, I asked Mariah a few questions about my vehicle. Even though she didn’t know the answer right away, she took the initiative to call around and got back to me with accurate information just a few minutes later. It was really nice of her to go out of her way to help. Overall, this is a great shop with honest, helpful people. I highly recommend them!

I am very happy that I found Mike and Vermont Custom Auto. Everybody I have met at Vermont Custom Auto is passionate about cars as well as very knowledgeable. I am an old guy with an old (2000) Corvette. I drive it about 10,000 miles a year and love driving it. When I was young, I used to do everything myself - including building several hot rods in the 60s. Now, I have forgotten how to do that stuff and I have no interest in doing it myself. The simple solution to that is to just call Vermont Custom Auto. It is not easy to find a really good place to take care of your "pride and joy". I had several bad experiences with so-called "performance" shops in Florida. By that I mean the work was not done correctly and repeated do-overs - not to mention extra cost of inexperience. If you are looking for a really good place to take your "baby", go see Vermont Custom Auto.

Scheduled appointment for TPMS sensor replacement started on time and took as long as they said. So nice to wait with my car for something that only takes an hour and change...and have it ONLY take an hour and change! And if you schedule it ahead of time, they can even have a loaner car for you to use. I've been to so many other garages that tell me they need my car for 4-8 hours just to do an oil change or a winter tire/wheel changeover.

Called Vermont Custom Auto Service and spoke with Mariah over the phone to get in for undercoating our new car. She was such a wonderful person to talk to. Very knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had. Dropped my vehicle off the day before and spoke with Jacob who was also very pleasant. They told me that it would be ready in the afternoon and Mariah had messaged me in the morning that said our car was done and could be picked up anytime. Imcredible!! When we picked up we got to see Jacob again and he went over every single thing about undercoating and the things not to do. The reason for us going here was because of all the wonderful reviews!! We are so glad we came across Vermont Custom Auto Service. We drove an hour one way just to have Jacob undercoat our car. Great location! Great people!
