Showed up at 7:55 just asat 8:03 they employee comes out and says it will be 10 mins for him to get set up. Then he's asks how I'm paying I said cash and he said I have no change and we charge $1 for card. What a joke when you say you open at 8 you should be open and ready for customers.

The guy said their probe for heavy duty vehicles wasn't working... Update 12/05/2022 I tried going here again and they used the same excuse again. Their probe for heavy duty vehicles STILL isn't working after a whole year? Either the guy working there is lazy and can't be bothered, or it's actually still broken. Why after an entire year would you not either have it replaced or repaired is beyond me.

One of the craziest experiences that I’ve ever had. The technician proceeds to rev my engine up and then Takes my credit card information charges me and tells me I failed based on visible smoke. Keep in mind there was no smoke coming out of my BMW 650 I At any time until he allowed it to idle for five minutes then put in neutral then floored the gas pedal down. Then he proceeded to hand me additional paperwork entitled, what to do if your vehicle has failed the omissions test... Clark county omission test waiver requirements state that I must present proof that a minimum of $450 was spent on parts and labor directly related to the emission failure excluding the cost of the emission test. So this may end up costing me $450 if I can’t get another test because it’s in the system. We will see. I’m going to add a picture and post this to yelp and many other websites in hopes no one else will be taken advantage of. FYI, My wife was driving and she’s black and I’m white so I’m not sure if that played a part in it. Be on guard for the sketchy, Potentially racist Technician that works Here. How would You feel if someone took advantage of your family like this company? Please let others know.

I was charged $18 (I know, not a huge sum of money) for, what I believe, is a service I was not provided. Per Billy, the manager, I was told that the machine will either give a reading of "pass," "fail," or "rejected." I had just picked up my car from an auto repair shop where they had briefly unplugged the battery which reset measures necessary to evaluate smog levels which I found out after the fact. Due to this situation, my car received "rejected" feedback. Nonetheless, I was required to pay. The individual conducting the smog check actually spent some time in the back of the shop trying to figure out what/if there was an associated charge. As they were unable to provide me service and I was there for MAYBE 4 minutes, I'm unsure why I received a charge. Apparently stating my case to Billy was extremely upsetting, as he thought raising his voice and vocalizing his frustration was a tactful way to provide customer service. I've relayed this information to an auto shop known for recommending their clientele to Smog Busters. They were appalled to hear that they had charged for a "rejection" (they've never heard of anyone doing that) and will no longer be recommending Smog Busters to their clients. I have previously worked in customer service and can empathize with Billy's frustration, but I have never raised my voice to a client, regardless of any disagreement the patron or I have had.

Have been using this place for YEARS for all my vehicles. Used this place for RV last year, no problem. Now the technician says they can't do it despite the fact their website literally states: "Light duty & heavy duty gas vehicles (motor homes, large trucks, etc.)". He tried stating the hose wasn't long enough but after insisting he laid it out, it most definitely was. He seemed more interested in his sandwich than trying to do his job. Very poor business ethics. Not just one vehicle in lost revenue, but all future business too. What's the point?

Showed up to get a smog check 10 minutes before closing and the shop is all closed up. Saw a guy inside but he wasn’t interested in helping me even though a smog check wouldn’t take more than 10 minutes. Don’t come here close to closing.

No point in having business hours if nobody's going to be there to perform services. 2:18pm and the tech sees me park, yet walks out the door and locks up. Rather than get my vehicle taken care of, he leaves without saying a word. Just went to a competitor down the road. This is not the first time they have not been open during business hours. It is however, the last time I will ever go to Smog Busters.

Guy participates in shady distasteful practices. So quick rundown. Vehicle had bad mass air flow. Had trouble getting the drive cycle complete. So I stop at the location at Craig and Rancho. Hooks up his computer turns around says that'll be $22.00 and after it's complete it can come back and retest for a $2 discount. Hmmmm Feel like I just got taken as a fool. Called countless other smog locations in the immediate area not one said they were gonna charge me if it wasn't ready for smog or the retest is freeonce cycle is complete . So moral of the story yeah they might be convenient for a new car but if you have any problems or are trying to complete your drive cycle this is NOT YOUR BEST CHOICE. I intend to set up a protest at said location for shameful business practices.

There was no one in line. It only took a minute or so. The guy working there was really nice. We had a coupon so our smog check was $18.99, plus I think you pay extra for using a debit/credit card, but we had a really good experience! We used to go to the nearby Valvoline, but they had a sign today that said "no smog check". Well, Smog Busters gained a new, loyal customer.

Inspector E00000054960 whoever that guy is was very unprofessional and judgmental. No one asked for his attitude, yet instead of doing his job he decided to insult me and proceeded to charge me $32 for a $25 service. Definitely reporting this to the DMV and to the state. I recommend to never come here if that guy is the one doing the work.

In 10 min got smog done dmv paid tags come in mail in a week! So much better than having to go to the DMV or a kiosk. Only around $40 for them to take care of it all! Definitely recommend going this route if you have no time but have the money to do. No stress
