Can I give 10 Stars? In all seriousness, I was completely satisfied with the service I received from Sooter’s Auto. Through no fault of their’s, the power steering pump they installed in my truck failed, twice. Despite the fact that they were completely booked up, the owner Kim, made time to replace the parts both times, at no extra cost to me, so that I was able to leave on time for my 3,500 mile drive to Canada. Many thanks to them. Their kind of professionalism and integrity is, in my experience, very rare these days.

I came here from a recommendation. I am sad to say they were mistaken. I spoke with a woman who represented herself as the owner. She told me her guess was that a gasket was blown from overheating but to check she would have to go into the engine and it would cost approx $3000 for everything. I could not afford that. I luckily took it to one other mechanic before selling the car. He took one look at it, saw what the problem was and fixed it for $60. Maybe she saw a woman she could take advantage of or maybe she just didn't want to deal with my car. Either way, be careful who you try to trust.

I highly recommend Sooters. Only shop that has been able to fix the transmission leak in my 1964 Comet for good, and did a lot of other needed mechanical work at a very reasonable price. They also work on my newer SUV, and are very honest. I definitely believe they are not just after your money and they truly care about their customers and getting the job done right. Sorry to see a couple bad reviews on here; I just couldn’t imagine anyone at Sooters not doing a giving you noble honest service and doing a stand-up job. They are super busy so call in advance, but it’s because a lot of people know they are simply the best in town.

I used to sell parts (for a few different companies), so I know pretty much every shop in town. I live on the north side of town, and I rather drive 35 minutes than take mine and my daughter vehicle anywhere else. Not that I dont trust mechanics... but I dont trust mechanics... (there is many other good places, but I choose Sooters over any shop in Tucson)

Sooter’s has been taking care of my car for 10 years now, and I have always appreciated their work, honesty, and care of both vehicles and their customers. Kim is an amazing business owner and runs a shop of friendly and knowledgeable technicians. I had some pricey front end work done recently, and since I started hearing a concerning sound when driving on bumpy roads. They got me in super fast for an appointment, a technician drove with me to make sure they identified the sound I was hearing, and they fixed the problem within an hour and half, as quoted :) They are always willing to make sure their work is sound. They reported to me the difference between a safety concern and a noise annoyance. I strongly believe that Sooter’s has never told me something needed repair that didn’t. I feel their assessments are fair and service is thorough, making me feel confident that my money is supporting the right local business. I’m beyond grateful to have found Sooter’s all those years ago and am a very happy customer, always!

Top quality place. Sooters was fast to help me when I obviously missed my own appointment. They got me into the shop at a new time and made my repair process easy. The staff was polite and the office was well informed of what was going on with my vehicle as well as everything else in the shop. If you are looking for quality honest work and you are flexible in getting the repairs done you will enjoy having them give you a top quality repair.

Great family owned place ! This review is long overdue, since I was supposed to write it last year. Last year I had to do my belts and I was in a rush since the car was also getting harder to turn. I had also messed up the bolt near the belt area. That was another issue. Many shops quoted me high because of the stripped bolt, had far away appointments, or didn’t seem to care. When I spoke with the owner on the phone about my matter, she really listened and was able to get me in soon. The shop did a really great job and was able to find out what was causing my car to not turn smoothly. They were also able to loosen the bolt that I had stripped ! The final bill was also at least half of what some shops quoted. The second time I went was yesterday and today to pick up my Vehicle. I haven’t actually tried any other shops around town, so I can’t compare service in quality, but I am very happy with Sooters. I plan on using them for the future and have already recommended it to a few friends. Thank you Sooters!!! ** had to edit since I wrote the first one on Sir **

Fantastic customer service. Honest and reasonably priced. My son is a student at U of A and his car battery died. Kim was more than willing to help on short notice. Easy drop off close to campus. I loved how the service writer worked with me, humoring my request to write a prioritized list of what most urgently needs doing. Sooters has, by far, the best communication I've seen in an auto repair shop. My partner and our landlord, both women, have mentioned that the owner is female and that this helps them to trust the shop.

Sooters is a good, honest mechanic. I brought a car in when I didn't pass emissions and they found a leaking intake manifold gasket. The mechanic tricked the emissions just by raising the idle and having me idle the car a bit faster when I was next in line for testing. A much less expensive fix that left me time to fix the main problem. He also fixed some vacuum leaks. Then I bought an Explorer and got it in for an oil change. They found a number of things, little things, that I can fix as I can afford it. They'll change your oil without the other typical sabotage like chain store mechanics. Thanks Sooters, 2 thumbs up

I do not have enough praise to say about Kim and the entire Sooters team. Kim is an absolute angel and the most genuine person. I am so lucky to call her my #1 go to car person. She has always gone above and beyond and I simply cannot thank her enough. I get very overwhelmed driving primarily older cars with issues and she has helped me every time. She is so trustworthy and fair with her prices. I recommend her 100% she is the best of the best.

Our daughters 4Runner had overheating issues due to a bad water pump and timing belt among other issues. I found Sooters online and after reading the reviews decided to have the vehicle towed to them so they could complete the repairs necessary. They communicate every step of the way even providing pics and videos of the items in need of repair, they completed the repairs the same day and for much cheaper than the dealer quote. Cruz and Kim (hope I got that name correct) are genuine, the mechanics are meticulous in diagnosing issues and completing repairs. Could NOT be HAPPIER-thank you Sooters for helping our daughter get home safe and on time for Christmas break from U is A. See you all next time
