Literally the only place in South Lyon that is open past midnight. So it’s convenient. They’re helpful when I go there, I never usually have to wait in line a long time. Usually pretty stocked with items.

The short guy at night with the black beard and short black hair is very rude. The dude was in there tonight swearing and screaming about how much his job sucks. Normally would avoid this place but only place open after work.

Love the store. However, "upgraded" pump horrible. Would not scan the QR from my phone or the barcode from my card. On screen commercial touts enhanced features but they don't work. Had to go old school and swipe my card. PM

My only reason for stopping at Speedway vs other gas stations was cheap, quick, hot, food and coffee to grab and go on my way to or from work. This location was just remodeled and now instead of grab and go pizza slices or other options you have to use a touch screen and wait for food to be prepped like fast food. This while being served by someone who makes a point to show you just how annoyed they are that they have to make/serve the food for you.

There’s a thinner lady who works front counter who has never once shown an ounce of kindness to anyone I’ve known who comes here, she doesn’t tell us the total, walks away from the screen mid transaction and seems very inconvenienced by everything. This has been going on for a bit now and it’s the same thing every time we enter. I suffer from a panic disorder so I’m no longer able to enter there to purchase when she works so my fiancé has to go in for me and purchase. It’s really disheartening and I wish the girl the best I just want her to be a little more respectful.

Lady just told me if I use a 100 dollar bill again she's giving me change back in 1s. I rarely go to this gas station and I never, ever gave her a $100 bill before. This is totally uncalled for to threaten to punish a customer due to their bill size? I had no control of what was in my pocket at the time. Last I checked I can't fill my truck for a $100, but she can't accept a $100 bill of in purchasing an item in the store. It's the most asinine thing i've heard. It was 3 in the afternoon on a Tuesday in south Lyon not midnight Detroit.

Lady at the counter was extremely rude because I had to pay with a $100 bill and made a scene embarrassing me. Not all atm's give an option to choose bills. You are a 24 hour gas station convenience store and should be able to accommodate.

They've improved greatly on just about everything. They even have a self serve register as long as your not getting anything behind the counter or paying cash. The speedy Cafe is a pleasant surprise compared to normal gas station food, is open pretty late and won't empty your wallet. The buffalo wings are really good at a great price.

Speedway in South Lyon is absolutely amazing. We had gotten in a bind for my daughter's wedding and the manager Michelle was amazing and helped us out in every way possible along with extras that was never expected! I suggest this location and team of players that work there to anybody and everybody. Thank you again!!!!

I like to get gas at Speedway but this particular gas station has trouble with their card readers way, way too often. Many times I have to go to a different gas station because they can't keep their card readers operating.

Have kept their inflated price of $3.39 for weeks. They are currently 40c/gal higher than Costco! Seem in collusion with Kroger on 8 mile with their pricing!

Update: Somehow this store got worse. It is now trashed and dirty and They are consistently out of lids and cups. Come onnnn The drink machines are constantly out of order. I don’t remember the last time I saw the the slushee machine working fully

MORE INFORMATIVE AND WORTHWHILE REVIEW. Their slogan should be "The convenient and FRIENDLY stores of Speedway". The pumps are covered and the boys all have a very clean look about them (someone clearly takes pride in their maintenance). Then when you walk in, you see a well laid out floorplan with significantly more options than you initially thought possible. In addition to all of the things you'd expect here are more offerings: fresh baked goods, milkshake machine, comfort food with a cafe (a real cafe; and seating available) with a handmade made-to-order panini sandwich leading the way, a litany of refreshments, beer, WINE, quick repair items for your vehicle, electronic necessities, a wide selection of gift cards and so much more. Mike was right there to serve us and we had a GREAT experience. We don't live in South Lyon, but we will be waiting to get gas and more here over many other options available to us.

Very reasonable gas prices. Broad selection of cooler beverages, fresh coffee and frozen drinks. Nice variety of snacks. Newspapers. Pumps have windshield brushes and paper. Rest rooms could be a notch cleaner.

This store has crappy customer service. My husband is a long time customer of Speedway. He has been going there for more than 15 years. He gets coffee at their every day, sometimes multiple times a day.We moved into town about a year ago and naturally my husband started going to this store. But the head manager is very rude and disrespectful. This manager yells at customers. We've had this manager get on the phone when we walked up to the counter to ring up our purchases to avoid speaking to us. My husband tried to make a complaint to the manager about a rude employee. This employee refuses to directly hand customer their change. The employee always puts it on the counter instead of placing it the customers hand, even when the customer has their hand out to receive the change. When my husband attempted to speak the manager about the employee's service, he was told " we'll if you dont want to shop here anymore, you can leave". My husband set his would be purchases on the counter and walked out. We are quite frustrated. Being an every day customer one would think you could make a complaint and recieve a better response.

Blonde middle aged lady at the counter (could be a manager) is always extremely rude. Almost everytime I have gone in there if she isn't making snarky Comments toward me it is someone else. She treats everyone like they are incompetent. If you say you don't have a speedy card or just don't want too use it she will make sure to say something everytime. At the end of the day I know it's speedway so no one cares and this post means near nothing but just wanted to say something.
