Brought my 69 Camaro in to have a stock 8-Track tape deck installed on the console. They researched it and installed it exactly like the factory would have. Their attention to detail is over the top!

My husband and I had a truck worked on at SRU Automotive. The truck has had nothing but problems after we spent THOUSANDS of dollars. They don’t care. Makes me sick to my stomach when I go over the parts and labor that they inflated to insure they made a healthy profit. Our truck is in another shop now getting everything fixed. Very expensive lesson. I told my husband I didn’t feel right about SRU Automotive, but he was hopeful it would all work out. It amazes me that people can get away with this.

I have a 1957 ford retractable, there are 22 mechanical switches for top& deck lid that must be set in wright sequence SRU ( Jim) owner said he could set them. just to make sure,l went to talk to him he give very little info said he new all about them So I took my car down to them first mistake,! I told them not to move anything more than one notch or thread.he called wanted more bearings took a lift shaft with bearings never got shaft back cost me $189. Had to order anew one $189. Plus shipping they did a lot of damage to my 57 ford Jim called said windshield header & cowl was bent l ask him if he measured he said no he did not DUMMY he just wanted me to pick up my car because he knows nothing about retractables but he made me pay $5994.72 first loaded took home first thing measured header & cowl it was right on another big lie they did a lot damage to my 57 . Damaged 3 chrome parts to rechorme $475.00 bent front tray brackets 3. Bent tray lift brackets 4. Broke front tray spot welds5. Bent deck lift cables 6.broke deck lid relay switch i just bought $225.00 6. Missing pin on tray arm $75. Bent right tray hing had to repair ruined deck rubber seal $78. Plus R&R deck lid & repaint they lost 17 bearings . when I got home. Deck lid wouldn’t go up or down top didn’t work at all called SRU Jim said they would fix everything BIG LIE tried to get it in there shop for two months they kept saying NO . You can get better repair work from a dog pound It’s in the hands of the ATTORNEY GENERAL

just another scam shop full of liars i brought my 2015 dodge dart to them after scheduling an appointment a week prior. my car needed a evap code fixed, parking brake adjusted, loud noise in front end fixed and asked they do a full inspection. they told me i could expect to have the car back in 1-1.5 weeks. a full week later they called to say my engine valve cover was leaking i needed a new belt and all my fluids which i just changed needed changed again. i told them to do the belt the engine leak and change transmisson oil. i called 2 weeks later for an update and they told me the car was done and i could come pick it up. i arived the next morning at 8 and they told me i would need to wait because they had not yet changed the transmisson oil. i then asked what they found on the noise and they said they found nothing and didnt know. he then informed me he had missed the parking brake on the paper work so it did not get done either. as there tec pulled my car around i saw my check engine light was still on. when i asked the tec said it was because i had a low tire light. which they could also not fix. i told them to plug in a show me the code to find the evap code still there and they had not fixed it either after they said they had. when i poped the hood i found my air cleaner tube loose and the orginal belt still there when i asked to see the old parts they brought out the brand new belt and pully saying they missed it and forgot to put it on. so in 3 weeks to the day the only thing they did was replace my valve cover gasket and change my transmisson oil. neither of which were what i brought the car in for. they then treid to charge me 2200 dollars when i told them i would not be paying for the items they did not fix and i would be taking it somwere else they started yelling at me saying i have no right to do that and that i should just leave the car with them for another 2 weeks so they could fix the rest. i told them i wanted the correct bill and after alot of arguing my new bill was 1500. they told me the reason they were confused is because they had another dodge dart in the shop at the same time....... which was a 1993 and mine was a 2015. not sure how you confuse those. they also told me it wasnt there fault because they had not yet road tested the car, but told me it was ready to be picked up. the managers jim and wayne are very rude and disrespectful and cant even comunicate between each other better yet you as a client. DO NOT take your car here you will be scammed

Been here a couple of times to get some things repaired on my vehicle and they are always so helpful, quick and efficient! Everyone you meet that works there is always very nice and happy to help you out. They are especially a go to if you have an older vehicle like myself. Accurate estimates and checks in by phone to let you know how everything is going with the repairs. Highly recommend!

Warning to others. I spent over $30,000.00 dollars at SRU on my 1972 Chevy C10, I never complained about their high prices because I expected that a “Custom Shop” would do beautiful work. I payed on time and expecting quality work. My parts were marked up 50-100% After the install of the motor w/ fuel injection, AC, transmission, dual exhaust, Dakota dash, Wilwood brakes, I have experienced overheating, fuel leaks, oils leaks, transmission fluid leaks and multiple exhaust leaks; resulting in bringing it back multiple times. They slapped things together without care or attention to detail. I asked them to clean the engine bay before they installed the motor, didn’t happen. They used old rusty bolts, left old wires dangling and didn’t paint parts that are prone to rust. I have had to pay another shop to fix a poorly installed exhaust system that I already payed SRU for. I had to put in a higher amped alternator because it cooked because it couldn’t handle the load. Had to convince them to put a new dual fan radiator in, because the truck was over heating with the one that was installed, which I was told would work fine. Now, the new engine with 5,500 miles on it that he “backed” has blown a head gasket, probably due to the overheating. Can’t drive the truck until I spend another 2,000.00 The new AC Condenser has failed. That will cost another 1,000.00 Unfortunately, all I ever got was a runaround for the reasons these problems were happening. Their motto is “Good work isn’t cheap and Cheap work isn’t good.” In my case, Cheap work cost a fortune.

We took our 69 Camaro RS in for a tune-up. Wayne offered to look the entire car over for $140 (which ended up being $210 on the final bill). His original quote was $3000. By the time we picked the car up, the final bill was $6000. The worst part is that when we drove the car over to the shop, it ran good, but not great, which was why we took it in to begin with. We expected it to run great when we picked it up. Much to our disappointment, it ran worse when we picked it up. In fact, it would barely idle, it had no power, and kept back firing all the way home. We seriously did not think we were going to make it home. Jim, the owner, told the receptionist that he had tried to call us after we picked it up, but we looked at both of our phones, and there were no missed calls from Jim. He told her that he would call us later, but it has been about 3 weeks now, and of course we have never heard from Jim. This was the most disappointing experience we have ever had with an automotive shop.

Jim, owner is extremely rude, dishonest, and just horrible at his job. Worst place to take your classic car. You'll wish you had never hired them!
