First rate business/experience! Fair and honest in helping me keep a 24-yr old vehicle on the road! Talked to owner; they are adding staff to reduce maintenance times. We will definitely be going back to Stan's!

These guys are the best mechanic shop in Lafayette. There is a reason why they have so many cars in there parking lot every day. They are super knowledgeable and hardworking. I will continue to support them and tell everyone I know to do the same.

My wife and I had problems at this shop which are too complicated to even go into right now, but there's an owner and his name is Sterling and he helped make the situation right with us. I believe that he's an honest man and he really cares about his business and doing right by people. If you go to Stan's automotive in Lafayette make sure you ask for Sterling.Sterling has integrity and he believes in doing what is right.

Husband dropped off his car before we went out of town to check AC. On our drive to Florida, an employee of Stan’s called to let my husband know what needed to be done, quoted my husband $1142 for tires, a/c actuator, and brakes We were assured the car work be ready when we got back on Tuesday, then were told the wrong part was ordered TWICE, then it was a completely different problem. On Thursday when my husband went to pick up the car he was charged over $1700.00 ($1000 for labor alone) and NO new tires. They were closing so my husband paid and let them know he would call back today. Now we are being told that the tires were never on the quote and “Steve/Steven” doesn’t know what my husband is talking about. I was in the car, heard my husbands side of the conversation, we discussed getting tires at Costco because of warranty but we’re assured Stans tires would come with warranty. You kept my husbands car two days longer than promised, charged an additional $600 and didn’t put tires on the car? Where is your integrity? Customer service?? Accountability? Not impressed- DO NOT give these people your money.

This place kept my car for three months for power steering pump and fix a leak in my ac. I paid 2,400.00 and when I finally got back in my car the front dash was all broken my car was literally torn apart they put all used parts on my car and the power steering pump was still broken so I basically paid them 2,400.00 to break my car more. I would never recommend this company I have car shield and they were doing insurance fraud and lying to the company and me. Very shady company

Was having issues with my “new to me”4Runner that had an aftermarket intake that had the most ridiculous air filter you’ve ever seen anyway I’ve been to many places searching for the correct air filter. No one could help me out and they wanted me to buy a whole new cold air intake system which I knew I didn’t need went to Stan’s. They were busy as always, but figured I would give it a shot as I had to be in Florida in two days. They were able to source a filter and a coupler to make it fit without charging an arm and a leg or trying to sell me on some other shit that I didn’t need these guys are the best!

Extremely poor customer service, acted like they didn't care if I gave them my business or not, didn't show any concern whatsoever about taking days to even look at my car, and when they finally did, they charged hundreds to replace a $79 part that wasn't even the correct part, without even calling me first! And while I was checking out I saw another customer being treated the exact same way, so I am not the only one. I will never go back to this establishment or recommend them to any of my family or friends.

The true measure of the reliability of a business is not only how they respond when things go smoothly, but how they respond when they don't. I've always had excellent service from Tim, who takes the time to clearly explain things, make sure my questions are answered & services my car as promised. Recently, I needed them to go above & beyond to rectify a complicated battery issue. Stan himself took over & made sure everything was promptly handled, including very reasonably pricing replacement parts & service. I would highly recommend Stan's Automotive as a top quality auto center that can meet all your vehicle's needs. They have certainly lived up to their stellar reputation!

I really appreciate the service here. I also work in a repair industry (guitars) and I understand that the follow-up and how you take care of customers is the important part. Jerrod helped me out a ton, the explanations of work and outstanding speed they took care of my issues were awesome. Thanks!

They had my car for almost 2 weeks before they could tell me what was wrong, and then they really even weren't that sure . They never called me, I had to keep calling them for updates. After that, I waited for almost another week for an estimate..still no call. The website offers shuttle service, but they do not actually have a shuttle service..they will, "if available" give you a ride in another customer's car. I ended up having to go pick up my car with a promise from them that they would call me with an estimate. Seven business days later and I still did not have a call. I decided to bring my car to another mechanic and within three days my car was fixed. I paid Stan's $170 for nothing.

I’ve been dealing with this company for several years and every time I go in it’s friendly service a fair pricing. We had a company truck that no one else could repair and they fixed it one day! Great group of guys very knowledgeable and trustworthy.

I’ve been a customer at Stan’s since about 2019 and I’ve been very pleased. The customer service when I call or visit is always courteous, helpful and professional. The prices are reasonable and affordable. I have continued as a customer for the reasons I’ve listed but most importantly I trust their honesty and expertise. As a woman it can often be a challenge to find and trust mechanics who have your best interest and safety in mind. I highly recommend!

Read the reviews before going thinking this would be a good place to bring my car... The customer service walking in is great, however the service once you've dropped your car is not so much the same. My car was there a week and I got no update until I called. The first time I called they said they were still trying to figure it out. I gave em a few days and called back they said something about my fuse box but they couldnt find the part but they would call me back once they find something out. A few days later still no update so I called again and they said it was my ignition which didn't quite seem right to me but I'm not a mechanic and I was desperate to get my car back fixed and not have worry about bumming rides so I trusted them to fix it. Again I have to call for an update and they say the cars ready. Everything seems ok at first. I take it home, go to leave again and it's doing the same thing. I bring it back, their like unless it's doing it in that moment they can't fix it. Mind you I just spent over $800 for them to fix the problem. I had just got the car so a few weeks later I got a recall paper in the mail guess what the recall was on... That same fuse box that they "couldn't find". So basically I feel like since they knew they couldn't fix the real problem they still wanted to make money off of me and scammed me out of over $800. I wouldn't recommend my enemy to these ppl!!

We drove my expedition to Stans because the check engine light was on, but the vehicle was driving normal. Stans checked it out and Sterling advised it was a timing chain issue and quoted 4-5K (billed me for 168 diagnostic). I advised we would pick up the vehicle and drive it until it actually broke. When my son picked up the expedition, they said there was an acceleration issue and "to be careful". The truck would not go over 5mph and was in "Limp mode". After almost wrecking the truck (they should have NEVER allowed this vehicle to be driven), my son drove it back to Stans. The next day after speaking to Sterling, I advised him the truck wasnt doing that when it was brought in. That was shrugged off. I advised Sterling I wasnt sure what I wanted to do with the truck and would let him know. A few weeks later I got a notice from a tow yard that they had my vehicle and I owed them $1000. While I understand my culpability because I did leave the vehicle there for a few weeks, Stans never called and said, "hey, you need to get your vehicle or we will need to tow it" - NOTHING. Please please please do not do business with these people, they are not reputable at all.

A great experience to say the least. The repairs completed on my vehicle were completed in one day as promised. The final invoice was cheaper than the verbal quote estimate communicated to me via phone. Certainly, the Stan's team was professional, knowledgeable, honest and a notch above other shops that I have done business with in all aspects. They clearly understand how outstanding service and competitive pricing leads to a successful business model. The jammed up parking lot is a great testimonial as well. A Stan's customer for life!
