I dropped my vehicle off for spark plugs replacement and crankshaft sensor (2) replacement. Alyssa in customer service kept me informed the whole time on the repair of my vehicle. I got my vehicle back same day. Drove it for about 20 minutes and had stalling issues when stopped in traffic, light , stop sign. Brought it back in. I was given a loaner vehicle, wich was much appreciated. It was found that one of the sensors that was replaced was faulty. They fixed the issue at no extra cost. I appreciate the mechanic that worked on my vehicle and Alyssa. I appreciate you ALL so much. My car is running like new!

I called this company last minute while test driving a Jeep from Rickie’s Auto just down the road, and they were kind enough to get me in right away for a vehicle inspection. I’m going out of my way to give this place a solid 5-star review because they quite literally saved me from making a $7,000 mistake. They quickly found multiple serious issues with the vehicle that the dealership never disclosed. Not only were they thorough and honest, but everyone I dealt with was incredibly friendly and genuine. As a mom of three, safety is everything to me—and thanks to their honesty, I avoided buying a dangerous vehicle. I’m beyond grateful for how they treated me, and I’ll absolutely be recommending them to anyone needing an honest inspection or repair. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

I received no services, other than being harassed and annoyed by their spam emails! This location use to be a completely different car shop several years ago. Don't give them any phone number; don't talk with them unless you want on their spam list. I've recently begun receiving their junk spam! Stopped by to ask a question about a problem and at first they were cool, but these bozos misled me, strung me along, wouldn't help nor even schedule some kind of diagnosis. The gal in front was supposedly sending someone out to me in their lot. That guy told me the gal inside was working on a quote! Who's zooming who!?! After waiting standing there for 20 min's I had to check with them again inside, and they gave me some other cockamamie excuse and NEVER did anything. I ended up just leaving, no futher communication . On top of it all... they snagged my number which is a secondary number I really don't use and recently started SPAMMING me. "IF" I gave them my number, it was for just the moment. This was like three, four months ago, and they hung onto my number all this time just to put me on their spam list?!?! I didn't agree to ANY communications. Stay away. *** RECEIVED SHOP RESPONSE *** Absolutely meant to leave this feedback! "Business" doesn't start at the time of service. Maybe next time think and realize when & how you're treating people you're talking with a potential future customer. Lost my business.

Had water pump and other cooling system parts replaced 2/4/2024. Later found out parts were on warranty, not disclosed to me so repairs were charged when I should have been sent to a dealer. Asked several questions and requests that were ignored because "We know what we are doing, we are a auto repair business. Thoroughly disgusted with the way I was treated and took this long to write my review.

I’ve taken two of my vehicles to Stellar and have referred a friend and family members who received amazing results. Excellent workmanship, knowledgeable mechanics, and a stellar job on all accounts! A definite 5-star auto repair where the last honest mechanic trains his staff well. My old van had the catalytic converter stolen, the steering column busted, and the windshield smashed in. Stellar brought my van back to working order.

I have been a customer of Stellar Auto for around three years now. They are excellent at identifying issues with my vehicle. My one concern is that I am not ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certified, so I don’t always know when a repair is necessary, simply recommended, or more optional. This can be a little frustrating, especially since my vehicle needs a lot of work and I don’t have a large budget. That said, I am considering their $16/month subscription, which includes two oil changes, windshield wipers, air filters, priority service, and other benefits. Despite my reservations, I’ve been quite pleased with the overall service they provide.

Made an appointment over the phone with their receptionist. Got someone to take my car up there for me because I was working. Once there they said they don’t make appointments for that time. Oh you don’t? Then why did you? Don’t waste your time here and also look at the reviews on yelp. I should have before I tried to bring my car. The rejection was a blessing in disguise

They've got great service and after they did my oil change my car has been driving better than I've ever experienced it before. Amazing sales. Knowledgeable staff. Kinda wondering why someone was looking underneath an area I had cm tucked and covered in the passenger side and then didn't have the respect to at least cover back it back up but people gonna people I guess. Despite that awkwardness, I'll probably still return cause they're that good. Maybe I should delete that anecdote then. Hmmm. Oh yeah, cool "waiting" that's private with Wi-Fi, free drinks and an office-like feel for catching up on any work, gaming (if you have have a handheld or cloud gaming) or browsing the Internet while your car is serviced. Locally owned.

I brought them a 23 year old heap i needed a clutch service on. They gave back what feels like a brand new car. I don't want to say " miraculous" ... but they turned a turd into a brownie. They set me up with a ride home from work on a swing during the extra night they had to keep the car. After they were unable to provide a loaner. The attention to detail in their service is unparalleled.

Updated; I came in for a simple oil change and mentioned my car was idling rough and throwing a few codes. I expected an oil change and maybe a “here’s what’s actually causing that.” Instead, I got a $3,300 repair recommendation list long enough to qualify as weekend reading. New fluids! New axles! New tire! New everything — except for the ONE thing I actually came in for. Meanwhile the real fix? A $12 can of throttle body cleaner. Twelve dollars. They’ll smile at you, hand you coffee, offer cookies…and then slide over an estimate big enough to feed an entire village. Take their recommendations with a grain of salt and get a second opinion. 2 stars instead of 1 cuz they give you cookies and a smile before trying to screw you over.

I okay’d the work and they had it fixed up and ready to go by 4:15pm that same day. They were absolutely great and I can’t recommend them highly enough. We came from out of town (Salem) to have them do a car inspection on a minivan we were looking to buy privately. I called them the day before and luckily they were accommodating for the next day! The multiple staff we interacted with were all professional and friendly. The waiting area/ lobby was clean, and restroom available. Best coffee bar and cold refreshments (drinks) available for customers I've ever seen at an auto shop. The inspection results were clear and presented well. Made us feel confident in our decisions. I had an excellent experience here today. I brought my car in because the brakes were squeaking and they did a thorough inspection and sent me a text message with their findings. What’s so wonderful is that I ended up not needing my brakes fixed unfortunately, many other mechanics would have Told me I would need a full replacement and because I lack knowledge in this area, I would have believed I did need one. I’m very thankful to receive honest feedback about my car and know that I am not going to be ripped off. When my brakes do finally need to be replaced, I will definitely be returning here.

Long story short I was a mechanic with no tools coming from Seattle WA. I needed a place to fix my vehicle due to the fact that my pullies were going out and my serpentine belt was showing visible slippage. I visited this spot during my stay in Portland & I was pleased with their customer service. Had the parts and labor done within an a hour and some change & had me on my way.
