Gary’s was suggested to me by a friend and I was so pleased with my experience! I dropped my car off right before closing on a Tuesday and Logan had it fixed up and back to me by lunchtime Thursday. This was an unexpected car problem which can be stressful but the experience was fantastic. I work nearby and will be suggesting them to all my co-workers! I’m so thankful I found this shop.

EVERY TIME… I am in a situation…. Gary’s saves me! Quickly! I’m a courier and usually in the middle of my route when my tire needs repairing or I’m low on oil etc…. Great people there! I’m grateful to do business with Gary’s!! 😁

Brought my truck in to diagnose issues/inspection. Shop completed some work (AC recharge) I didn't ask for, asked only for a diagnostic. When I brought this up they didn't get defensive, were super nice about it, and knocked off the price of labor for it. Other shops I've been to would double down and get defensive. Very friendly service. Because of this I'll be bringing my truck back here if there are issues I can't solve myself (which I'm sure there will be).

I have yet to pick up my car but feel inclined to write this now. I’m living paycheck to paycheck, with no savings and my heater hose busted out of no where last night. I got an appointment the next day and everyone I spoke to was kind. I didn’t get anyone’s name besides Logan but EVERYONE (including the dog) treated me so well. They heard me thoroughly when I said I only have about 300 or so to pay for any repairs and they fixed this for me just a little over my original budget but it’s still very affordable. I cried when I heard the price out of happiness. Thank you everyone who helped me. I’ve been struggling a lot and this really makes it so much easier to get my life together. I will be coming here for any future repairs. Thank you again, you are all so wonderful and really made a girl living on her own, trying to get by, very happy and way less stressed for the future.

I brought a used car to Gary’s to check and make sure it was good to purchase, and the entire staff treated me like family. I was able to make an appointment, someone drove me home while they checked out my car, and then they gave me all the details and a clean bill of health for the car — and some things to look out for in the future and how much it costs. It can be very overwhelming to do anything with cars, but Kim and team made it super easy. So glad I found a solid and trustworthy mechanic in the city.

I paid for an alignment after having new tires installed, and these guys were able to get me in same day and didn't mind me waiting in their office and walking next door for some fast food while the work was being done. Towed my car, and older CRV, here after recovery from being stolen (and I was just about to buy a club!). Ignition was wrecked, windshield cracked, hvac and radio assemply ripped out, door handle pried off, seat belt non-functional, etc. I asked 'what will it take to make it drivable again?' And it was a pretty penny, but reasonable for repairing the extent of damages (about $3K). I love this little car and didn't want to deal with car payments so I said "ok". It was a long wait getting all the parts, but that's understandable being an older car and all. Kim was also very responsive with my questions. After a month and change, I got the car back but felt the repairs were lacking, for one thing the ignition didn't work and the seatbelt (which admitably wasn't in the work order) didn't work. A friend picked it up while I was at work so I couldn't inspect and I had already paid over the phone at that point. I raised these issues and, had they done nothing this would be a 1-star review; instead, they towed the car back to their shop and figured out the issue with the igniton at no cost. I asked about some other issues I felt were unaddresssed (seat belt, radio assembly, and a damaged steering column cover), and they fixed these too! It took a little bit of self-advocating, but I'm leaving 5 stars because they did a phenomenal job for a reasonable price all things considered. Drove it all the way to Seattle w/out issues. Thank you for Gary's Auto for bringing my little old Honda back to life!

PS to the one-star wonders below: you bunch of whiners convinced me to check Gary's out. I didn't see a single valid complaint. I'm pretty sure they'd rather not do business with you either. Gary's has been my primary mechanic for over a year now. I took my Mazda to a certified Mazda dealership and not only waited six months to hear back, but they actually left my car in a worse state they they received it. I found Gary's, told them the situation, and they had an appointment for me two days later. Within a day or two, they had identified the problem, told me it was too complex for a general shop to fix, gave me recommendations, and DIDN'T charge me for the diagnostic. They were right about the diagnosis. I've since brought my car in for new tires, rotations, brake issues, door actuator issues, and oil changes. The problems are always fixed in a timely manner and at a price at, or below, similar shops. Kim is normally my point of contact and stays in constant contact, relays my info to the mechanics, and even checks on me a few days after the service to make sure everything's working okay. I honestly couldn't be happier to have found a shop this friendly and reliable.
