Please dont get discouraged, cause we dont believe in google or yelp. We believe in true words from our customer who refer. We dont believe in discount cause our estimtates shows. I like to take this moment to let you know the different between scan a code and act on finding out the problem. Scan promote many issues any cause, Diagnostic per that code is a technicians job. I UNDERSTAND its misleading. TRUTH ANYONE CAN PLUG IN A SCANNER. TELLS YOU THE CODE? What's misleading is how are you going to us that code to fix that problem? Many cars are with many codes, I stress out that anytime check light comes on have it checked. Thank you Please understand Diagnostic takes times.

On 09/23/14 alarm of a blue Cadillac went off around 3AM. Alarm continued to go off until shop was open which was around 7AM when mechanic showed up. Spoke with older Asian mechanic, mid 50’s, around 3:30PM and informed him of situation. He told me that he would let the owner of the car know. I told responded with the notion that it doesn't matter if he is notified now, we need to be able to get a hold of someone in the middle of the night if this issue happens again. He said it wouldn't happen again, which is not at all true and no way to predict, nor confirm. A younger Asian mechanic, mid 30’s, was listening to the conversation and told me the same thing. He said he’ll inform the owner of the car, in hopes that I would agree and walk away. I told him the same thing - we need someone’s phone number to call if this happens again. He said he wasn't willing to give it out and that he wasn't going to wake up in the middle of the night to fix the issue as this would bother his sleep. I said how nice it must be to be able to sleep. This is terrible business that you can’t help us out. It’s not our fault that the alarm went off. We just need someone to call and turn it off because his is Oakland and it will happen again. He refused to give any contact information. He only gave me the owner’s name, Steve, which is on the building and his alleged name, Sam. I, along with the rest of the building stayed awake from 3AM until 7AM because they said they couldn't turn it off, because the owner of the car had the key fob (which is ironic due to the fact that the alarm turned off right when they showed up). I am upset that they can’t help us out and I think this shows the type of business that they run here so I am making a complaint so that the owner sees this and does something about it.

I always take my car here and feel that Steve is honest with his business however I was disappointed that I recently needed repairs and no one answered the phone so I had to take my car elsewhere. Still a great place but must’ve been busy that day.

I’ve been a customer of Steve’s for over 20 years from day one he’s always been very friendly and informative patient and he has never gouged me on the price. I’ve sent numerous people to him over the years and everybody that has gone fell in love with him and his shop. You won’t find a better location for service.
