We had to have our car towed here a couple weeks ago after it broke down on the way into Memphis. They called us first thing Saturday morning to figure out what problems we had. After hearing the extent of damage we ended up trading in the vehicle. But had a great experience with the staff here and would recommend any day.

Best car service company in Memphis! I called on in one day after having a bad experience with Sears and Steve and his Team made my day. I took my car in at the open of business Tuesday morning and it was fix while I was a work and ready for my boyfriend to pick up. The staff is very nice and attentive! I will definitely be a returning customer! Thank you Steve's Tire and Auto Team!!!

I got an oil change, spark plug replacement, and transmission fluid replacement. I dropped it off at 7:30am Wednesday and they were finished 10am on Thursday. They must be behind schedule. Nice guys and I hope they did quality work. Total cost was $900.

Steve's Tire & Auto is the most professional, considerate, accomadating, and friendly business in their space. Too many times in the past, we have been price gouged, sold services that weren't needed, or made to wait hours even though being on time for a scheduled maintenance appointment. Highly recommend!

My boys and I were traveling through Memphis when the tire got flat. I managed to get air in it, then made a call to Steve tires. The gentleman Travis was courteous and understanding that it was an emergency. He made sure our tire was taken care of as soon as we arrived. Our wait for the patch was within 30 minutes and the price was reasonable. I appreciate their professionalism and exceptional customer service to us visitors! It made our road trip a breeze instead of a hassle, which we give our gratitude. Thank you fellas at Steve Auto & Tiresπππ L.Crawford from Buckeye Country

knowledgeable service at reasonable prices employee at desk (Mike) was very helpful and seemed to understand what my problem was just by my describing the issue i was having. Answered many questions for me very friendly and courteous. I thought the cost was very fair and they are wonderful about providing you with a ride to work, when dropping your vehicle off. I have been using Steve's (at both locations) for a good many years now, and always feel i am being dealt with honestly. This is of premium importance to me. I love this place! Brian is the best he is very knowledgeable about vehicles. He took the time out to help me and gave me his expertise and told me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle. You can tell he is very passionate and genuine about his job and he cares about the customers and make sure he goes above and beyond. Most shops just be trying to rip you off and make money you can tell that's not what they are about! I told my friends and family about this business we will be back!

Astronomically overpriced labor. They saw I was from out of state and a student-athlete at the University of Memphis and knew it was an opportunity to take advantage. Extremely bad communication with me. I found three other shops that would charge half the price of what they charged me, but they already started beginning work on the car. Do your research on how long it takes a certified mechanic to fix parts because I do not understand how it takes over 5 hours to replace a radiator. I knew it was going to be a nightmare when I first took my car in and while I was waiting a customer was very unhappy and upset with the price he had to pay. The guy working behind the desk says our business does not take advantage of our customers. As I have experienced first hand that is straight lie. THIS PLACE IS A GRIEVOUS BUSINESS. I 100% recommend any other place besides here.

I went to Steve's to have a few repairs done. They sold me on tires and that was fine because I was getting ready for a roas trip. They also gave me prices on how much it would be out of pocket to have a few minor repairs done if my warranty conpany did not cover the repairs. Again he explained to me that these are rhe prices to COMPLETE each item if the warranty doesn't cover them. So I said let's run it through the warranty first and see what they say. So low and behold the warranty company is only covering X amount of dollars and they aren't covering AB and C. So I made the decision not to do the repairs. Now he is telling me the prices he quoted me were not the costs to COMPLETE the repairs but the cost for the diagnostic only!!!! $150 for a seat belt latch $80 for a fuse!!!! $80 for a bulb?? Are you serious? These aren't even the prices for repairs, it's for the diagnostics!!! I feel like this is one of those shops that take advantage of women by using their Mechanic language. They know what to say amd what not to say to women and that's not cool. He knew He made a comment about tax season almost like he feels like I had it to spend like that but I don't. I feel so taken advantage of. I will never come back here again and I will never refer them. They really took advice of me at "tax seaon". I am a struggling mother rhat only wanted to take my kids on a road trip for spring break now I can't because I feel robbed. I hate I ever came to this place. Had he made it clear that there would be a $150 DIAGNOSTIC FEE for telling ne what I told you about a seatbelt, I would have never ever said ok. Just give me the tires and let me go. No heart he could have explained that to me instead of forcing me to pay this. I really feel ambushed.

This place has a very high rating and that's excellent, but for the customer that needs service that can become a double edged sword. They were not too inviting to me, maybe it was because it was in the morning,.....well at least I hope that's what it wasπ€. I attempted to drop my vehicle off and I was told that they probably wouldn't be able to even diagnose my vehicle until Monday. I came on a Thursday so that option wasn't going to work for me at all. The attendant at the front desk stated, we have vehicles that have been waiting for over a month for a partπ. I asked can you just give me a call once you are ready for my vehicle, well that's not something that they do. This is an area that they definitely can upgrade in, several places of automotive care provide that option. If I can still drive my vehicle without damaging it I can't see any reason why you wouldn't have that option, it makes more sense than just letting a vehicle sit for weeks.

If you want an honest and fair assessment, this is your place. I had gone to the dealership for an oil change. They found a nail in my tire and plugged it, but told me I shouldnβt ride with the plug for too long. My car only has around 20k miles. Before taking a trip out of town, I took it in to Steveβs to purchase a new tire. After inspecting the tire they said I didnβt need one and I would be fine to drive on it. I was so grateful for their honesty and it saved me around $400.

Quoted me $1000 to replace the alternator. I bought one and installed it myself for $350. Also didnβt like the $150 + tax diagnostic fee, but I knew that going in.

We have a GMC Acadia and a Jeep Renegade and we love having our vehicles serviced at this location. The staff are helpful and friendly. If you have dealt with local dealerships terrible service departments then you will find this a breath of fresh air. Ask for Austin. Thanks for being awesome!

Went to Steve's Tire and Auto for low tire pressure in a rear tire. They found a screw and began repair. The technician began and came back saying the side wall was damaged and a new tire was needed. The service manager took a look and determined that the damage had to be done during the repair. They replaced the tire at no cost. I thought this commendable of this shop. This was a $600 tire. Most other shops would not have admitted their error and passed this cost onto me. They also searched the city to find a replacement, and had me on my way in less than an hour. It is hard to find good service these days, let along honest and respectable service. I will definitely be using Steve's Tire and Auto when the need arises again.

I would not recommend this shop to anyone, this is not an honest business, Steve the owner lied to me by offering a resolution then back tracking on his on word as business owner. He did not care to do the right thing by his customer (who had just spent $5,000) They replaced parts on my Jeeps engine (rockers, cam shaft) and when it stopped running shortly after Steve the owner called and said he would offer me a credit for the amount I spent ($5,000) to use it towards a new/used engine I told him I'd feel better if I had a second opinion and needed more time before accepting his offer. I lost trust in them when they had my Jeep in their shop for over a month and did not know what was wrong with the engine and thought they were liable and I had to call several times to try to get an answer. When I called Steve back and told him I would like to accept my $5,000 refund so I could fix my engine he retracted his offer and would not be honoring his word. Seems like after they received our money they no longer cared to do the right thing.

Have had a number of repairs done here and generally satisfied. Would point out that if you think you can pay with a debit card and avoid the additional fee (in this case 3%), like you can at a dealership or other service centers, be forewarned that they still charge you even though they get your funds immediately. You can only avoid the fee with a cash payment. Personally, I don't usually care around large amounts of cash. They also won't except your check no matter how much business you've done with them.

I cannot recommend Steve's Tire and Auto enough. I have had them do some work on my 2013 Hyundai Tucson a coupe of times over the past few years and they have always done a great job and their pricing is extremely fair. A couple of weeks ago a local dealership told me I needed $1,300 of brake work done. I took my car to Steve's for a second opinion. Turns out the dealership misled me. I did not need any work done to my brakes. Steve's showed me pictures and went into great detail about why the brakes still had plenty of life in them. They saved me $1,300! I cannot thank them enough. It is so nice to know there are still honest folks. They did not charge me at all to look at my car! I expected to at least have to pay a diagnostic fee! Thank you! You have mine and my family's business for life!

I recently took my vehicle to Steve's Tire & Auto to fix my front brakes. Austin and Jonathan both assisted me and were very professional and friendly. When I went to pick up my vehicle, Jonathan noted that my battery would likely need to be replaced sometime soon, along with some additional things the tech noticed. As it turned out, my battery decided it was done for and fortunately, I found out in the Target parking lot, which is less than a block from Steve's. I quickly called up to Steve's, as I knew they were getting ready to close for the day, and Jonathan said he would help me after hours (so kind!) and helped jumped my car. He gave me some additional advice of what to do next and his advice was a life saver. If you're looking for an auto body shop with friendly and professional staff who go the extra mile in customer service, look no further than Steve's Tire & Auto.
