The customer service is top tier and they are very detailed and honest in their diagnostic reports providing visuals and explanations to issues and non issues in their diagnostic. Somewhat on the high end of price but they were very quick with the repairs. Would definitely recommend if you want and easy experience dealing with repairs and maintenance.

I took a Subaru Outback WIlderness with a 34k miles on it with a "Certified pre-owned" label on it for a pre-purchase inspection. These guys found bad stuff in it that the "CPO" inspectors either missed or ignored. Stress free auto saved me from buying a ticking time bomb at a bad price. After the check, they were happy to discuss with me what my plan should it and how severe is the damage. Would come back again.

I really like that they have a list of things that they've checked and the status of the items that they've checked. For example, they checked my front brakes and updated that they still have a ways to go before needing replacement. They also inspected my tires and posted how deep the tread was for each one. Their customer service was also great. I was slightly late for my appointment, but they were very welcoming regardless. I appreciate how quick they were at taking care of my vehicle as well. Thank you for a great first experience with Stress-Free Auto Care, Erick. It definitely won't be the last.

They worked on my car. They did a great job. After the oil change I got a service engine light when I accused them of messing up the oil change, they then redid the oil change for me for free while showing me each step of the process. In the end it turned out to be an issue with the battery in my car and the service engine light was gone after the battery change. So they put up with me any my concerns amicably. Edit: Turns out they fooled me. The service engine light popped up again despite the battery change after a week and max oil level exceeded light came on. I went to the dealership they showed me they had overfilled the oil by about 500mL and was causing the cylinder misfire and electronic throttle issues. These guys kept saying they had 15 years of experience I wouldn’t trust them anymore. Honestly super disappointed ended up causing a lot of issues and money. If you care about the car don’t go here. The dealership fixed the issue by changing the oil to spec. Looks like when they emptied the oil to show me it was only partially emptied and they did not completely empty it.

Eric and the team wre great and helpful! Even though there was some slight delay, they will update you and if not you can always call them and get an update! The great thing is the inspection they do is very detailed with pics and details which is a big help and of course the advice they give is great! Definitely a shop to get a opinion on for car maintenance or problems!

Bad experience I had a high low beams problems. After they diagnosed the problem they come up with approx 1,600 dollars to fix the problem. I thought was a lot of money . I have sone knowledge of electrical so I went to buy a tester and less than 15 min I found the problem was a blown fuse. I believe you need better technician or is a way to fabricate a story to gauge the customer with money. Definitely I will not recommend you to anyone.

I was charged 913.00 for battery change. When you look it up on the internet, it says that it typically costs up to about 500. I never got a breakdown of charges so I don’t know how much parts cost and labor costs. When I was at the San Jose location, I had great service that included all of these explanation of fees but at the Fremont location, no such thing. I will not be returning here for service.

I had such a great experience with Erick and George at Stress-Free Auto Care! My car’s engine started rumbling while I was driving on the freeway, and even though I came in close to their closing time, they still got me in and took the time to check things out. Erick gave me really helpful advice about checking for a possible warranty through Ford, and when Ford wasn’t able to accommodate me, they took great care of everything. They were extremely communicative and professional throughout the entire process, and I felt completely confident that my car was in good hands. The shop itself is clean, organized, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Erick and George are genuinely great guys who go above and beyond for their customers—I can’t recommend them enough!

Today I brought a 2005 4runner for a pre-purchase inspection. From the get-go, Jim told me about the common issues of the fourth gen 4Runners and asked if I still wanted to pay the fee. He then showed me an oil leak under the hood and finally convinced me not to buy it. He was so honest that now I think I found my go-to place! Less than an hour later, I returned with my 2008 Lexus rx350 and told him I want to give it to my soon-to-be licensed daughter. So I asked for a PPI. I told him a couple dealers told me the rack and pinion needed to be replaced asap due to leakage. He said to get the engine steam cleaned first before he looks at it. As you can see, he wants to do the job correctly and not work just to work. His interest in what’s best for the customer won me over. I take good care of my cars and I just found the right place. This is now my go-to repair shop!

Brought my car here with a couple issues after having a terrible experience with another mechanic (who charged me $300 and fixed neither of the issues). Customer service was top notch, very responsive from the get go. The CS rep, George, listened to the issues, and scheduled a time/date for me to bring my car in so that his top mechanic could take a look. They have a decent loaner car which helps with transportation issues. This way I don’t have to take a day off from work to get my car looked at. It took them a day to properly diagnose the issues and give me an estimate. While I determined that it was not worth it to get the car fixed, they backed up my decision and gave me a lot of options for the future. Their transparency and professionalism gives me utmost trust in their diagnosis and recommendations. Will definitely return in the future, a good mechanic who you can trust is very hard to find!

A big shout out to Ony and his colleague at Stress Free Auto! I took my car in because I couldn't get the license plate off due to a screw that was rusted on. They were so professional and were able to book me a same day appointment when I called first thing in the morning and on top of that were able to see me right away and took care of everything right when I arrived. Ony took time out of what I'm sure was a busy day to help me out and did a fantastic job. He was able to resolve the issue without the screw breaking and even replaced the screws and swapped out the plates and didn't charge me anything. I couldn't believe it.
