Hands down BEST service, communication, and value I’ve experienced with a mechanic!!! I came to subitech from a referral from a friend. It’s always hard to find a trustworthy and honest mechanic who does good work and diagnostics without over charging. My first appointment was for brake pads and rotors. Not only did I get greeted by a lovely receptionist but Mike completed it in a timely manner and at a fair expense! I will forever use this shop for all my automotive needs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Five stars! Top notch service. I'm so glad I found an awesome Subaru Mechanic. Mike knows Subaru's and does top quality work. My turbo needed to be replaced and also had the timing belt done. I swear my car runs better than the day I bought it. Went back to Mike because I had been putting off replacing the struts for too long. Decided to add a 2" lift to our Outback because the timing was right. really pleased with the results and the attention to detail. I will feel much more comfortable driving in the snow this winter... plus the lift looks super cool.

I’ve been coming to SubieTech for years now. Mike did an amazing job on my FP Black STI build. We spent a year planing and working out every detail. We built the car around 2-3 years ago dynod over 500whp, Bend calibration did a great job tuning it on the mustang dyno. Hasn’t had a single problem the whole I’ve had it, and I drive the hell out of it and it’s at 30psi of boost. These are the only people I trust with my car and genuinely good people.

After 11 years and 170,000 miles, my ’12 WRX lost compression in one cylinder. And then, the fifth gear synchro started acting up. Should I buy a new car? Or, should I fix what I got? I was aware of Mike’s reputation, but I lived some 800 miles distant. Finding a competent, professional shop closer to home is not as easy as it sounds. I liked Mike’s recommendations: build a new engine around a warranted Subaru short block. This is exactly what he did about six months ago to my WRX. Have I had any issues? No. Not a single one. He replaced my transmission a few weeks ago in early December. Dropped it off in the morning; picked it up in the afternoon. Have I had any issues with the new transmission? No. Not a single one. You Subaru folks around Bend are spoiled having Subie Tech in town. Some of us have to drive a few miles. Thanks Mike and crew, I really appreciate what you’ve done sorting out my like-new WRX.

I am a Westfalia enthusiast since 1991. I discovered Mike Manser (Subitech) in 2017 when he rebuilt by 2005 Subaru Imprezza and Forrester engine Conversion for my restored 1990 Westfalia Camper. Ove the years I have learned that Mike is a master mechanic with integrity. He never abondons his customers even when they are far away or encouter difficult problems. Subietech did amazing work on my 2015 STI helping me finish installing the last few pieces of my Stage 3 kit before upgrading my turbo. They even installed a baseline tune so I could easily pick up my car and dial things in with my tuner. Best shop I've ever worked with, and the only one I trust with my STI.

If they find anything that may still be under warranty, they give me all the info I need to call the dealership and get it covered. They're a hidden gem in the corporate park off Empire in NE Bend and well worth finding if you want honest, reliable Subie care.

I randomly came across SubieTech on Instagram, saw the good reviews and liked that Mike is a Subaru specialist. Needed my intake valves walnut blasted and I would much rather have a Subaru specialist than a basic mechanic do it. It was his first time walnut blasting and installing an AOS (plus a coolant breather fitting) all in the same day and he worked almost an hour and a half past closing on a Friday. Many thanks to Mike and everyone at SubieTech. I live 3+ hours away but glad I brought my WRX to him and would bring it in again.
