I brought my Ford Explorer in for a recall inspection back in February 2025. Since then, I had checked back periodically every few months or so, just to be told the parts are on back order and, have not arrived yet. I contacted the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) to make a complaint about the amount of time it has taken Ford to fix my recall issue. It was now over 8 months since, my vehicle was inspected. They told me to go in to speak with the Service Manager and, get back with them if the issue is not resolved immediately. I stopped in to Summerville Ford on Thursday or Friday of last week. I voiced my complaint to the guy at the service desk. He went and checked on the status of my service order. He came back told me that my part will in the following week. I received a call on Monday and, was informed that the part was in and, I can make an appointment to have it put on. I made the appointment for the following morning, Tuesday at 9:15 am. I received a call back and, was informed that I can have the part put on at my home the same day, Tuesday. So we made the appointment for 9:00 am on Tuesday. I also informed the guy on the phone that I actually had two same year Fords with the same recall issue. I provided him with the VIN of the second vehicle. He told me that the tech can take care of both of the vehicles during his visit. I asked him if they had the parts to take care of both vehicles and, he told me that they did. The Tech showed up on Tuesday for the 9 am appointment. He said that he was there to do an inspection for the recall. I was like, “No, the inspection was done back in February of this year. You were suppose to be here to install the parts this morning and on both vehicles!” He was totally confused and, said that he would go back to the dealership to try and locate the parts. He came back a short time later with the parts to only 1 vehicle. He installed the parts and, took the previously provided VIN and mileage for the second vehicle. Needless to say, he had no idea as to when that part will be in. I was also informed by the NHTSA that I had other options, if I didn’t want to wait another eight plus months to have the same parts put on my other vehicle because, I am entitled to have those parts put on my vehicle within a timely manner and, waiting another eight months or so, is definitely not a timely manner. There is no excuse for that. Especially when I can go in to the service center to complain on a Thursday and the part arrives the following Monday. Why do I, as a customer have to wait another eight plus months for a part that can obvious be ordered and delivered within two business days? Make it make sense!!!

I appreciated everything Summerville Ford did for my car! They changed the oil and rotated my tires! I also had my windshield blades replaced and they made sure everything was safe to drive!

Given the unexpected circumstances with my car disrespecting me, Vanessa had been great to communicate with. From start to finish she was sure to communicate me with updates and questions regarding what happened to my car. Going back and forth with the techs which I’m sure they loved. While picking up my car Courtney helped me check out, my experience with her was great as well! She got me in contact with Craig, the service manager who helped me understand my warranty better, super helpful, and thankful he took the time to do so. The rest of the service team that I interacted with also were super kind! Happy to have my car back and running smooth like the tears I had after paying!!

I’ve given this service center multiple chances, and unfortunately the experience has been consistently disappointing. The very first time I brought my vehicle in for a basic oil change and tire rotation, the wait dragged on so long that I had to leave my truck overnight. When I returned the next day, my tire—which was perfectly fine when I dropped it off—was suddenly flat in their parking lot. Their solution? “You can buy four new tires from us.” The quoted price was more than $1,300 plus their extremely inflated labor rates. After pushing for them to make it right (given that the tire wasn’t flat before they had it), I still ended up buying new tires elsewhere. I later asked to be serviced at their sister dealership, hoping for a better experience. Instead, I waited 4.5 hours for another basic oil change. On my most recent visit, the service was faster at 1.5 hours, but I was immediately upsold on nearly $3,000 worth of “recommended services” that were nothing more than overpriced, basic preventive maintenance. It shouldn’t be normal for an oil change to require anywhere from 1.5 to 4.5 hours. With certified technicians and proper tools, an oil change should realistically take 20–30 minutes, and a tire rotation no more than 10. Charging excessive labor fees on top of dealer markups—while delivering slow and questionable service—is unacceptable. I genuinely hoped this would become my go-to service center, but at this point I don’t feel they value customers, and their techs seem incompetent taking so long to do simple vehicle maintenance tasks. I intended not to leave this review and just move on, but I’ve been inundated with texts and emails for the last 4 days asking me to review my service so here we are. They should learn to take no for an answer.

I had a lovely time at Sumerville Ford service department. I Worked with Vanessa to get my truck fixed, order parts, and keeping me informed in a timely manner. She is lovely to talk to super professional and will be returning because of her ability to make sure I was well informed through the entire process because it can be daunting sometimes!!

Absolutely love our Ford Bronco Heritage edition. Paul is awesome (sales) and I highly recommend him. Elvis the Sales Manager was great as well and both very true to their words. Other dealerships could learn a thing or two about sales and service from these guys!

Jayla Hayes made my experience way better. Every time I come to that location to get service. I’m never greeted properly. Ms Hayes came out of the building and as soon as she saw me, she asked me if I was being helped. She went above and beyond doing her job. I give her five stars.. I also want to thank Mr. Franco for offering to help.

Traveling from out of town I was able to book an appointment on line for mid week. Ford Explorer, high mileage 2018. Rear right scrapping, possible wheel bearing or brake issue. I decided to stop into the service dept first thing Monday am when they opened. Service dept. was super attentive. Ryan met me, set up all paperwork while my assigned service rep was busy with another customer. Peter Plakas then stayed in touch with me daily, quoted the work to be done and an additional recommendation that I agreed to. My vehicle was ready way ahead of the day and time promised. Peter asked me to meet with Venessa to close out my service. Very satisfied. Would use again and would buy a vehicle from them if this level of service is an indication of the entire dealership staff. Well done! Excellent!

I was checked in right away. My truck went right back. The service tech was very polite and friendly. I was updated throughout the whole process. One thing I appreciated was that everyone that passed me was acknowledging with a friendly smile, from management to service and sales. Wonderful experience all around. Truck was ready before it was expected and was on my way. I bought my wife and I's vehicles there and will continue to do our service there as well. 10 out of 10. Thank you Summerville Ford!!

Service to the vehicle itself was great. However, I haven’t been receiving my Ford Rewards points after each service and was never awarded my points when I initially bought my brand new vehicle either. And when I called about it two days ago, they said they would have someone call me back about it, and I still haven’t heard a peep from anyone.

Was significantly upside down on my vehicle and the staff at ford looked at all the options and help me to almost completely wipe out the debt. Drove away in a brand new truck woth reasonable payments and everything I needed. Very helpful staff looked out for me rather trying to sell me to maximize their profits. Very much appreciate this dealership.

Wonderful dealership and friendly people who go above and beyond for their customers. Andre and Duffy made the buying process easy, even sending me a video of the truck we were looking at. Adrian led us through the financial portion and was fun to work with. Definitely recommend them!

Was not pleased with the actual vehicle service. I needed a small part that had to be ordered and Sville Ford insisted I pay for the part before installation. I personally disagree with that policy as Ive had past experiences elsewhere that the part was ordered, but used for someone else and I had to wait longer. As I understand their reasoning for prior payment, from the consumer standpoint, it ties up my funds while waiting and an estimated time of arrival was unavailable. A matter of different viewpoints, however, both valid. Paid my diagnostic fee and both reasons for service were not completed. I would like to state my service advisor, Vanessa Kerns, was extraordinary, with excellent customer service received and communication also excellent. She has the most pleasant demeanor and I appreciated her excellent service.

My car was scheduled for a 10K service. Ford offered to pick it up and bring it back to my home and left a loaner car. This was unexpected. They had my car back in a timely manner. I didn’t have to wait at the dealership. All of the staff involved were great. No issues at all. Thank you all.

Replaced brake controller. Cost was very high and it took three days to complete. They would have charged even more had they not price matched the controller that I found on Ford’s own website. Service writer was very good. Excellent communication, clear details/expectations without promising more than he could deliver.

Great experience at Summerville Ford. Lindsey Gonzalez was an excellent Service Advisor. She was professional, detailed, and informative. Also, I sat in the waiting area until the service was completed, and every employee that walked by said hello! Summerville Ford has a nice and welcoming environment!

Excellent communication, great service for a fair price. I will definitely return to this dealership. Everything was fixed right the first time. I really love their shuttle service and the fact that they dropped off a loner for me. Johnny my service advisor was pleasant and easy to work with.

As always, I had an amazing experience! My 2018 Jeep Cherokee came along with a two-year warranty and I got my oil changed my fluids topped off my tires rotated and balanced, and it was supposed to take a couple hours… But I was out within an hour. Everyone was so friendly, especially the young lady that was corresponding with me giving me updates, but I can’t remember her name. She deserves five stars and a raise!

Alex Rooney and Adrianne Ames helped myself and my husband through a rough time as my 2025 Explorer ST Line was totaled. Got us into a 2026 Explorer ST made feel extremely welcomed. This is the third vehicle Adrianne helped us with and we will definitely go through both Adrianne and Alex on our next purchase. Awesome people.
