These folks were great! They were able to locate the problem with my generator, get the part and install it in record time. They also spotted another problem with a fuel line and replaced it. The total cost was less than I anticipated which was unusual and greatly appreciated. I would definately recommend them.

The fastest car repair place I have ever seen!!! I had been getting taking advantage of with fixing my 2005 Magnum, I contacted them after my sister recommend them..they came and picked up my vehicle ,and told me everything that was wrong in a few hours😮 told me the price it would cost to fix and it was beyond reasonable!! Comparing to what I had already spent in repairs that where supposed to be done but wasn't...fixed my car in less than 24hr had it running and ready to go!!! They didn't try and force unnecessary Products on me and kept it truthful and honest..they have a continued costumer (me) I will never let another person touch my car other than them, they are friendly and the dog in the office is just down right awesome lol you have to give these guys a try! If your tired of being taken advantage of like me,and want the job done right go see them, best place ever and that's from the heart...thank you, you guys she's still running strong!

Great place!!! I had to get my vehicle inspected last minute (the last day of the month) right after work. The staff were courteous kind and got me in and out in less than an hour!! 5 other places I called were booked through the next day. Great service!!!

These people are awesome. While traveling through Roanoke, Virginia, we had a much needed repair ( minor but still important) that needed attention. They immediately got on the job, did the installation with a better recommendation, and we were back on the road, at a very fair price for the labor! They work on RV's, 18 wheelers , etc. They are very knowledgeable! I highly recommend!!! Thanks guys/gals!!!

What a fantastic mechanic! I called him when he opened on a Saturday morning and he fit me in amidst a crowd of folks all looking to get their vehicles inspected on the last day of inspection. He gave my RV a good looking over spending the better part of an hour on it. His charge was beyond reasonable. Highly recommended

I drove up to them with a problem that simply started when I inadvertently left my switch turned on. Drained battery completely and I charged overnight. Well in my Durango it caused problems I have never seen but I was told this was the non-dealership garage that could help me I was taken right away and because I don't have any other way around. I was surprised by this but was happy. O couldn't have seen anyone else without today's new word...appointment. I waited as he reprogrammed modules in today's vehicles with on board computers. Also I was needing front brakes and I have my car back good to go. The office staff is very nice and helpful. The mechanics are very different than what I have seen before. They are capable to tell you about the possible problems without a machine saying it. Oh yeah they have many fantastic diagnostic tools and they will check it too but don't rely completely on it. Needless to say I am very excited about Techne-Mechanical and would recommend them to my family and friends. Why not check them out and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

The owner is very nice. The waiting room is lovely and has options for children to play so they won't get bored while waiting. The dog is amazing, she's lovely and very sweet. I will definitely come back. Glad to know there are great mechanics in Roanoke you can trust. Thanks!!!!

Employees were friendly, attentive, more than knowledgeable about all inquiries and or concerns and after speaking with w them regarding my schedule they reassured me I would be taken care of and my vehicle would be serviced and ready to go in less than an hour and I give kudos to the technician/mechanic he inspected my moms vehicle and I was home all w in an hour total!!!! I plan to use them for all future vehicle needs and am definitely referring my friends and family to them as well as I am super satisfied with the service I received today!!! I can not say enough good things about this shop! They had me in and out for my state inspection on the same day I brought it in. I didn’t have to leave my car, and could just wait in the lounge. I’m a single mom so leaving my car somewhere to just sit for inspection was not happening for me. They took care of me same day and had great customer service!! 5/5 recommend 🤩

Took my motorhome in to have the front brakes and the chassis A/C checked. Explained to the tech that we were planning to take the coach out on a trip in two days. These guys were incredibly busy and a little short handed that day. Nonetheless, he got it in, checked the brakes (they were good) checked and charged the A/C and I was out of there in two hours. To top it all off was the cost… way less than I had imagined (had been used to Camping World’s exorbitant prices). I had come to believe customer service of this caliber was a thing of the past… not here. Techne is no my go to for my heavy mechanical needs!

I love promoting and supporting local businesses. I've referred a few people to Techne. My neighbor even has his car with the right now. Unfortunately, I didn't have the greatest experience with Techne. A little over 2 years ago, they replaced my water pump. It's connected to the timing system, so the chain, tensioner, etc. all needed to be replaced as well. Bill was over $1700, $1200 of that being labor. I've been working remotely and haven't put a lot of miles on my car since then. About a year after the job, my car developed a weird ticking sound. I asked around and had a few people listened to it. Some said it sounded like a lifter or something else. The last guess I would have had would be the timing chain that had recently been replaced by Techne. A few days ago, the car really began acting badly. It's the timing chain. A chain should last for years. It wasn't even the original reason for the repair. I spoke to Techne, and they said the parts won't be replaced by Ford after 2 years and they won't guarantee their work past a year. I'm stuck with a car needing a timing chain. I'm waiting to speak to the owner, Robert, in a couple days. If he has a solution for me and they work with me on this (I'm willing to purchase new parts since they're out of warranty), then I'll update this review to 5 stars. Simply put, they did not install the chain correctly. The car has had a loss of power and hasn't been right since they did the job. At this point, I would highly recommend going elsewhere if you want a job done correctly. I'll see if they take care of their customers and will provide an update.
