Toni's RV is a family owned RV dealership and service center located in Salem,Va. We purchased our camper from them in 2019. The owner and staff are very knowledgeable about the products and services they offer. I recently had an issue with the domestic toliet not holding water in bowl. I called and the owner answered; he solved my problem over the phone. If you are in the market for a new camper with personal service that is above expectations you should check them out

I have had great experiences with Tonie's RV and recommend them to friends, family, anyone. They are fair and honest. Recently had a problem with something and Joe, the manager handled the situation with true grace and dignity to make things right. I do not know of any other RV service Center that would have had this much honor. Thank you Joe and Tonie's RV. You are unique in the business and wish you all well, as always, a true customer.

We just bought our first RV here, and can not say enough good things about the experience. After a year of shopping around, we found a model that we loved, and went to see it. We have been to other larger dealers all over the state, and were familiar with prices and features already. We had also become used to the pushy sales people that try to force you into a bigger, more expensive unit. Toni’s is completely different. The prices are clearly listed, and more than fair. In fact, I spent the next day checking prices on the two units we liked, in every state around us. I’m the kind of person that will happily drive 200 miles to save a couple thousand dollars. Wasn’t even close. The cheapest competitor price I found was $1100 more than at Toni’s! Joe was laid back, and didn’t pressure us at all. He answered all of our questions, took the time to try and understand exactly what we wanted, and offered a bunch of suggestions about features and modifications aimed at specifically how we wanted to use our travel trailer. He never once tried to up-sell us on anything, just pointed out some things that could help us get the most bang for our bucks while “dry camping”. The finance part was painless as well. Charlie and Terry customized the trailer for us and went over everything, patiently showing us how to use it. They gave us a ton of hints and tips on maintenance and how to avoid potential problems. Joe even test drove the set up with us, checking brakes and towability. I couldn’t have asked for a more personalized experience. I don’t usually write reviews, but I definitely thought that this should be done. The people there are truly some of the nicest, experienced people you will meet, and they genuinely try to fit you and your family’s needs with the correct product. I would highly recommend Toni’s if you’re considering buying an RV. I don’t think you will beat their prices anywhere, and I am positive you will not beat their service and attention to detail.

Bought our first camper from Tonies this week. After less than desirable experiences at quite a few other dealerships, we found the camper and the experience we were looking for at Tonies. Joe is very knowledgeable being a camper himself, and not pushy at all. He put the facts out in front of us and answered any questions that we had. The whole buying process was very enjoyable. Charlie, who helped was with our delivery walk-through was great as well. He explained the operations of every feature on the trailer thoroughly and was honest and knowledgeable in answering any questions that we had. In a world where service has taken a backseat, it was a nice change to have such a great experience. We will definitely be back to Tonies in the future and would highly recommend anyone in the market for a travel trailer to look them up!

My decision to purchase a Lance travel trailer came after hours of research to find a quality built travel trailer. After contacting a number of dealerships in the eastern half of the United States for the specific model I wanted to buy, I decided to work with Tonie's RV in Salem, VA. Tonie's RV offered the best price for the new unit and top trade-in value for my travel trailer. Joe, Tonie's RV Manager, communicated with me through email, text, and phone calls to ensure the I was satisfied with the deal before I traveled from CT to complete the transaction. He sent me the MSRP spec sheet, the wholesale and retail spec sheet for my trade-in, and held the unit until the weather allowed me to travel to VA and back. Upon arrival, my trade-in travel trailer was inspected and I received the amount Joe and I agreed upon. Next, Charlie, Tonie's RV Technician, installed my new Andersen anti-sway hitch, and then gave me a thorough tour of my new Lance travel trailer, answering any questions along the way, and he even set up the back-up camera for me. I completed the payment process, received all my necessary paperwork and manuals, and was on my way back home after only a couple of hours. I highly recommend Tonie's RV to anyone in search of a used or new RV. Their service exceeded my expectations. Thank you Joe and Charlie.

We think Tonie's RV does good work on campers if you can endure their disorganization and scheduling issues and get them to complete the work they originally agreed to. This review is based on the negative interactions that we experienced over the past several months. We would love to support a local Salem business but aren't willing to put up with the aforementioned issues and Joe's quick temper. In May of 2023, we dropped off our Thor motorhome to have the driver and passenger side windows replaced. After completing the work, Joe told my husband that the seamless windows in our camper had a very thin gasket when combined with the poor design would be prone to leaks due to water sitting on the top of the windows. My husband asked Joe what we could do to mitigate the issue and Joe said that he could put drip edge gutters on to avoid water sitting on top of the window gaskets. We agreed and asked them to put together a quote for us. We never received any follow-up or quote. In September of 2023, a skylight broke on the camper after hitting a low-hanging branch which prompted us to reach back out to Tonie's on October 10, 2023, my husband called and spoke with Ethan to arrange the repair for the skylight and discuss the gutters. Ethan requested we send a photo and provide the dimensions for the skylight and stated that he would discuss the gutters with Joe. On February 05, 2024, we emailed again giving the dimensions for the skylight for a second time, sending photos and confirming that the black gutters were fine with us. Ethan scheduled to have the work completed on April 5, 2024. We called a few days prior and Ethan said to drop the camper off the morning of the 5th. We dropped the camper off around 9am and Ethan stated that they would get to it as soon as possible. We asked them to look at a few other issues including the newly installed windows that howl any time we travel above 50mph and he said they would check them out. We told them we planned on going camping the following weekend and Ethan asked us to call on Wednesday to follow up on the status of the repairs. On Wednesday, Ethan told us that they did not even have the skylight yet and it would be arriving Friday, two days later. Ethan also said that they will not be doing the gutters anymore because they don't want to do the work. On April 11, 2024, my husband went to pick up the camper and Joe again confirmed that the skylight will be arriving the next day, Friday the 12th and said that he doesn't want to put the gutters on. My husband asked what it would take for them to do it and Joe responded with nothing.. there's no amount of money. Joe said that after looking at it again it's too much work and he would have to have multiple guys on ladders and he would have to remove the awning to do it. My husband explained that he is frustrated because Joe is the one who had the camper in his shop almost a year ago and suggested this solution. The work was scheduled to be completed and they are now backing out. Joe stated that the awning coming off is a problem and that it probably wouldn't go back on right. My husband, confused as to why Tonie's couldn't manage to successfully uninstall and reinstall an RV awning, explains that Nomadic Camper in Christiansburg installed the awning months prior. Joe suggested maybe Nomadic could do it. My husband explained that he wasn't trying to be rude but that this is frustrating - the ultimate goal was to have the gutters put on as discussed and agreed upon and we figured that the skylight should just be done at the same time. Joe angrily told him to take it to Camping World and it will be done in 10 months and stormed back through the shop door.

We purchased a new Salem Hemisphere 42 ft. fifth wheel. Upon purchasing, the refrigerator was not working. I live in Pulaski, VA and attempted to call numerous dealers which Forest River instructed me to do so. None of the dealers would file the warrant claim because I did not purchase through them. Joe and Ethan have been wonderful to work with. They have fought with the claim department to ensure I receive the refrigerator and solar panel which was not included. I highly recommend these folks and truly appreciate their patience and time.

I really appreciate a family-owned business that has made a commitment to provide great customer service and fair prices. My husband and I bought a used RV from Tonie's earlier this year and they went above and beyond to make sure it was right, even covering the expense of a few costly things that developed after they quoted us a sale price. I highly recommend Tonie's RV and am happy to do business with them on an ongoing basis. They have proven themselves to be trustworthy and follow through on verbal commitments. I highly recommend Tonie's RV. I just bought a new RV there and picked it up yesterday. You can't beat the level of service that you will receive here. Joe did a great job in taking us through the whole process and Charlie did a great job in doing the final setup and walk through of our new camper. We had an amazing experience working with the staff at Tonie's. As an out of state buyer the transaction was more complicated but the staff at Tonie's was attentive, accommodating and very patient throughout the process. When we arrived to pick up our RV Joe and Ethan were amazing. They walkedus through everything and even giving us a short driving lesson with the RV attached. Their price was $3k under anyone else within a 4 state northern radius. The reviews are genuine. You WILL be cared for. They set up our Expedition and spent 4 hours introducing us to our trailer. My wife and I couldn't have asked for a better experience buying our Sunray 149 sport. . The gang at Tonies was amazing and treated us extremely well. Buying a brand-new RV is a big deal and the gang made it easy and painless. It was refreshing to deal with honest down to earth folks. They even took as much time as we needed to show us how to use the systems of the RV and got us all hooked up safely for the trip home. We will be back when it's time to upgrade.

My experiences with these folks is they are GREAT! Most importantly, they know what they are doing, are honest and reasonably priced. They have helped me twice with repairs. Both times, wonderful to deal with. They are quick and friendly. I trust them and would drive many extra miles just to have them work on my rv. I've never bought a new RV from them, but if I was in the market, would not hesitate to visit them.

In retrospect compared to the large 20k-50k rvs in their lot, we bought a very low end but clean, used 1994 Jayco popup camper from Tonie's RV. It was not expensive but they still treated as a valued customers. A full inspection was done prior to purchase, they went over everything inside and outside of the rv and talked us through popping it up and down. Every question was answered with care and nonjudgement (as someone new to the rv world I asked a lot of questions) They even threw in a Passport of America subscription (which is 50% off select campgrounds), a voucher for 2 nights stay at any VA campground, a complimentary year membership with Thousand Trails (free select campgrounds in your preferred region) and a 12v house converter plug. I will do all my camper and rv business with this wonderful family operated establishment and recommend them to everyone in and out of the area. Even after purchase they are helpful when I reach out, and I do via email frequently as my goto guys now! Definitely be back when we upgrade!

DONT TRUST THIS GUY!!! if I could give him a negative stars I would!! Spoke with the man on Saturday about buying a camper (cash) he recently took in used. Told me he needed to take a look at it to give me a price told me to give him till the coming Wednesday he would call me wed. He didn't call. Went over the next day on thurs and he had sold it the monday prior and then like a sad sack couldn't even tell me himself had another employee do it!! Don't trust him will bold faced lie to you!!
