Left oil smudges on the car. Air hose connected to the filter was not attached all the way. Happens way too often. The young guy that first checked us in was not friendly and a smart ass. Nothing ever changes. Bad customer service. Don’t even know why you send these out. About to buy another Toyota, will not be from Lake Charles. Will travel farther to get better service.

I am changing my rating because I no longer recall why I left a 3-star review. Since then, I have used the service department several times and must say that Matt Hicks has been exceptionally helpful. He is now my go-to person for all my service appointments. Dealing with Matt is like cutting through red tape; he makes every experience much less stressful. I am happy to change my rating to a well-deserved 5 stars.

Brandt & the rest of the service team helped make this entire experience a breeze. They had a rental ready when I dropped off my vehicle. I was in and out of there in less than 15 min (and it was super busy at the time.) Brandt was great at communicating and keeping me updated on their progress with repairs. More importantly, the recommended repairs were not ‘pushed’ on me & no repairs were done without my prior approval. While I did not originally purchase my vehicle from this dealership, I received the same customer service as if I was one of their own. It’s because of this experience that Lake Charles Toyota will receive my business in the future.

I absolutely love this dealership and never will buy from anywhere else! Caven is my go to ever since he sold me my car over 10 months ago , he always schedules me appointments as quick as he can get me in , always making sure i’m good while I wait and making me feel like a friend instead of just another customer!! I had a 6 hour road trip ahead of me and had to get my oil changed before , I ended up having to get tire rotation too and bart lege made sure I was in and out as fast as possible because he knew I had a long way to go They always keep me updated throughout my appointment letting me know how it’s going and how long I have left. very much grateful for these guys and everybody else at toyota🩵

Absolutely love this dealership! I was sold on doing business with them in 2024 when I brought my daughter’s car into the service dept last year and witnessed a Tarvar son sweeping the floor while updating a customer on his dad’s health. December 2025 I made my first purchase on a vehicle at Lake Charles Toyota and I couldn’t be more pleased with the sale and also with the service department. Overall always a pleasure dealing with Gavan. The time at lake Charles Toyota can be a little long for an oil change and tire rotation but they are always extremely busy. You can expect a few hour wait. Other than that. Good experience.

Disappointed! Got the oil change last weekend while there I was getting my wipers changed out. They told me they had the wipers. Upon me checking out they said oh we don’t have the wipers. We have to order them. Fine they’re ordered. Got a text saying they came in. Being that I live in New Orleans I’m not able to go pick them up. I called and they said that my husband can go pick them up. Once he got there to go pick him up they said they needed the old blades back for warranty reasons and that he couldn’t pick them up. Why was that not communicated? The lack of communication is horrible.

Since being laid off I have to really watch my money. My Camry needed repairs, and since bringing it to a dealership cost more, I brought it to a local, reputable shop. After not having my car for two weeks while they tried to fix the problem (and kept failing) I eventually brought it to Lake Charles Toyota. The next day I picked up my car and she runs beautifully. Should I have brought it to them first? Absolutely! Was it worth the money? Without a doubt! I’ve learned my lesson. Some things are worth a few extra dollars. In the long run you’re better off.

I usually don't have an issue with this dealership but I must say, I was extremely disappointed this time. I called and made an appointment for a recall on my vehicle and was told it would take 2 to 2.5 hours to correct the problem. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment and waited in my car for approximately 15 minutes before I was helped. (Which means the people that were driving me home were also waiting) Then he asked if I was staying to wait on my car. I told him no. That was a huge mistake. About 6 hours later, I called wondering what was taking so long and how much longer would it be. The receptionist was rudely told by the mechanic that he had no idea! They took 7 hours to fix my car! It was almost 5:00pm before it was ready and by that time I didn't have anyone to bring me back over there to get it! I had to scramble to find a ride in rush hour traffic, which is what I was trying to avoid by making a morning appointment to begin with! Apparently if you are not sitting there waiting for your vehicle they put you at the back of the line. That's crap and they should let you know that when you're making the appointment.

My service was very professional. Love the idea of refreshments while we wait. My ticket said that my floor mats were not safe. I installed Weather Tech mats which are secured down. How are they not safe? Over all my visit was satisfying. Also happy that you'll are dog friendly. My dog goes everywhere with me. ❤️
