Greg highly recommends everyone should go there!!! I took my 2016 GMC Cargo Van there for an evaluation of the transmission fluid and when did it need service? Mike was very honest and said I could go another 5 to 10,000 miles, the fluid looks good. Then I brought my wife's Toyota Camry in with 182,800 miles on it, they took it for a test drive, discovered it only needed to have the transmission fluid exchange, they said it would take about an hour or so, I went across the street to a wonderful breakfast restaurant, had it done in under an hour! The engine is running smooth...happy wife, happy life! Everyone I dealt with was kind, honest, knowledgeable and professional!!!

I've been using Transmission Pros for years now, starting back when I needed my transmission rebuilt (two cars ago) and Newell's team did it fast and reasonably priced. When he told me that he did more than just transmissions, he had a long term customer. I love the fact that he and his staff are helpful and friendly, professional, but still laid back, and knowledgeable. The prices are seriously right and usually I can get in fairly quickly, except in times when they get super busy. Isn't that the worst part of a great mechanic? Once the secret is out, they can get BUSY! I just returned home from another great experience. I had my oil changed, a full inspection, brake inspection, new air filters and cabin filters, tire rotation, etc done and they got me in and out in an hour. The best part is I feel super confident taking my car here. Finding a good mechanic that is honest, knowledgeable, and affordable is one of the hardest things we face in life...I'm not joking, I believe this! I am so glad that I found Transmission Pros.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression. I called to set an appointment to get my 65 Comet in for a transmission leak. Guy on the phone was ok. Said I would like a fluid flush since they were going to be there. He tells me they don't do flushes because they would have to carry so many different gaskets and filters. Not sure.if you guys have ever heard of NAPA but they'll bring it right to you. Told him I already had a filter and gasket as I was sure the pan gasket was leaking, which brings me back to how would you fix that if you don't want to carry parts ECT? To many other shops to deal with a transmission shop that won't service a transmission. Best of luck.

They rebuilt the E4OD on my F250 for a good price, with a quick (one week) turnaround and gave me a one year warranty on it. At the end the price ended up being more (almost 3k), but since they quoted me at 2200 that's what they charged me. Any other place would've made you pay the rest. It's been one year and two months and i've had zero issues with the transmission. They seem to perform the same quality work as Oceanside transmission but for a better price and quicker turnaround time.

I brought an older car in to Transmission Pros for a diagnostic of transmission problems. I explained up front that we did not want to spend a lot of money on the car. The initial quote to diagnose was about $200, but after a few days they called to say that the transmission needed a complete rebuild for a total of $4000. I said that the car was not worth that, and they claimed that what they had done so far, including removal of the transmission to fully inspect, would cost about $1000 just to tow the car away. I do not recall being given that figure ahead of time, though the shop claimed that they did. In any case, they certainly did not make the $1000 diagnostic charge clear as I would have told them to stop their work before incurring that much of a charge.

We were referred to Transmission Pros of Escondido by Evans Tires, who suggested Transmission Pros conduct diagnostics on our 2013 Sonata. The guys from Transmission Pros were professional and friendly, took our concerns seriously, LISTENED and believed what were describing, gave their reccomendations and insisted on not charging anything. I would definitely recommend Transmission Pros for diagnostic and Transmission work, as they seem very honest, professional and attentive to the customers' needs.

Had my car towed here and they did a diagnostic to confirm it was a transmission problem. Ended up getting it towed the Ford dealership since it was still under warranty, but Nino was very helpful and didn't even charge me for the quick diagnostic. Highly recommended

Brought my Subaru Outback in after getting quotes from other places ranging from $8000-$12000 to completely replace the CVT. Nino and his team ended up fixing it for just under $4000. Not cheap, by any means, but definitely more than fair considering the amount of labor that goes into removing and replacing the CVT, not to mention the time spent repairing it. Everyone was very friendly, polite, and professional! I hope I don't ever need to have any serious transmission work done again, but if I do, I'll definitely bring it here.

After a difficult experience with another local shop I asked for a second opinion from Transmission Pros. Turns-out there was no physical damage or tainted transmission fluid. What had been quoted as $8k for a full replacement was a $700 speed sensor. Sincerely appreciate quality work from an honorable shop. Highly recommend starting with them or getting a second opinion.

I went to Transmission Pros on the recommendation of my local mechanic. I have a high mileage F350 that I tow a heavy trailer with and the transmission was starting to have problems at 245,000 miles. They quickly diagnosed a rebuild and rear end rebuild. I did some research on line about recommended parts and upgrades for heavy tow vehicles and it turned out they were already going to put those parts in as a part of the estimate. The parts were pricey but I checked on the internet and that's what they cost. I have had the truck back for over a month and it drives like I had an engine rebuild! I am very satisfied with the work and would recommend them for your transmission needs!

HIGHLY recommend! These are true pros, and also are kind humans. Our truck had a transmission issue on a road trip, and we came to Transmission Pros after every other mechanic in the area told us we couldn't be seen for a minimum of two weeks. These guys immediately- and I mean immediately!- heard us explain what happened, and jumped into action. They were fully booked, and had no obligation to help us, but the owner and another member of his staff stopped what they were doing and took the time to get us back on the road within a matter of hours. I walked into this shop ready for bad news or to get turned away, but these guys took the time to get us back on the road safely and I cannot thank them enough. On top of this, the owner personally declined accepting payment and instead told us to pay it forward- which we did. There aren't many people like these guys, truly kind and knowledgable mechanics. I will recommend them to everyone, and cannot say enough good things. These are true PROS! Thank you so much for caring about us and not just turning us away due to your schedule already being as full as it was. God Bless!

When the transmission in my 2018 Sentra went out for the second time, I was recommended to take it to Transmission Pros of Escondido and THANK GOD I did! Nissan refused to help me, even though they lost a class action in '23 for the exact same problem with the exact same make/ model and year. They wanted to charge me $7500 to replace it, even though I had only driven 18,000 miles since the first transmission failure. All they said was "sorry" and that's exactly what they are. But not Transmission Pros of Escondido! They were HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, not only from our normal mechanic, but SEVERAL other people I spoke with recommended them as well. And after the AMAZING EXPERIENCE I just had with James and the whole team at Transmission Pros of Escondido, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM MYSELF. I dropped the car off on a Thursday, and the VERY NEXT DAY they were calling me to say it was ready to be picked up. Not only did they do the work in a VERY TIMELY manner, they beat Mossy's repair price SIGNIFICANTLY! The car drives GREAT now and they also gave me a wealth of advice and knowledge regarding how to increase the longevity of the transmission. DO NOT BUY FROM MOSSY NISSAN! But if you already have and your tranny went out like mine did, DEFINITELY don't go to Mossy for repairs. THEY'RE CROOKS WHO DON'T G.A.F. about you or your car.
