Unfortunately I needed the bilstein shocks installed on the Xterra the day needed to haul tools when the truck was in shop. Tuan’s was across the road from the job site I made the mistake of not asking for a quote for just the labor install. And made the mistake of saying I don’t mind paying for good work. Tuan charged $270 just for installing the shocks I supplied. It wasn’t a rush job. Should have been no more than $120 January 23, 2021 make sure you get a written quote.

I called him because of loose terminals, to fix them etc. He didn't have any openings until Thursday, which was like 2 days away, I went to Willies, he took it in the same day and had put a new alternator, new battery terminals etc. So I'm sure he does great work, but I couldn't wait that long.

2 years ago I wrongly blamed Tuan for a rear main seal failure in my Hummer H2 about a year after he replaced it. I was very angry at the time and Tuan was nothing but professional and kind. I later discovered that the plate where the seals meet had warped (not Tuans fault) and that I had made a mistake when accusing him of a faulty repair. I carried a lot of guilt the last couple of gears about the mistake I made. I was afraid to call and apologize for some reason. Mostly because Tuan has been nothing but generous, kind and fair for the years I have known him (not to mention an excellent mechanic) and I felt embarrassed about blaming him for something that was not his fault. Today my starter needed replaced. For some reason, I picked up the phone and called Tuan. He made time for me to bring my car in immediately. More importantly he made me feel like I was family. I write a lot of reviews on Google and I call it like I see it with brutal honesty. So here is my honest, brutal truth about Tuan Automotive: If you are looking for a reliable, reasonable, HONEST, GM trained mechanic who also happens to be a genuinely good human being your search ends right here and now. Tuan, I would like to finally apologize for being a jerk to you a couple of years ago. Thanks for always being there for me when I need you and thank you for being my friend.

Great place to get severe/major work that needs to be complete and any basic amenities that also need to be completed. The gentleman there is great to work with and his vast knowledge of different cars to show that. One Customer came in from Sears that got his tire replace was hearing a knocking noise. Tuan immediately spotted a problems with the tires because Sears put on two different sizes. Overall a nice first impression that will last from now on.

The owner is cheater. Few days back I went for brakes change. At that time I asked him about oil change for my other which uses full synthetic. He gave me price of $55.00. for 5 quarts. If car takes extra oil, it will take extra but no more than $70.00. Today I went for oil change he charged me $ 90.00 which is way more than he told me. Also he used cheap oil filter (5000 miles and for conventional oil) instead of using the standard oil filter for 10000 miles and full synthetic oil. He never wants to accept that he uses cheap oil filter as I already checked on AutoZone website about the filter he used. He never keep on his words. Don't go there. This is the reason people go to reputed auto shop rether than roadside auto shop.

I needed a quick repair done. I had my own part that I bought online. None of the bigger more well to do shops would repair with my part. I understand that there's liability that they need to worry about, but I'd prefer to save the money where I can. Taun was very quick, professional, and had great repair costs.
