Great shop, very friendly. One thing I feel obligated to disclose to future customers is that I was charged a hefty amount for an extra part that I did not have installed. I noticed, many people wouldn’t have. I received an apology and timely refund, however it is something to think about if you are not mechanically inclined enough to understand and review your repairs once they are completed. Customer service says a lot, honest repairs say more.

Ive had dealings with Unlimited Service since 2001. From engine rebuilds, exhaust repairs, ac problems, oil changes, diagnostics in ac… Ive always been very pleased with their professionalism, their communication with me, and their attention to detail. Any things in question- theyre quick to check, ammend, or make it right, or pit my mind at ease. Great follow ups on their end. They are careful with my money, but prioritize on quality. Thats the way i like it. They have my trust- because theyve earned it! Look forward to many more years with them.🥰🥰

Great local family business. We live nowhere near Bellingham but this is a service shop of choice. Dakota is great and the family stands behind their work.

If you want honest, quality and affordable repair of your car or truck, Unlimited Service is the place to go! Great office staff and knowledgeable and trained technicians. Locally owned with two locations on Bakerview just before Hannigan and in the old Toyota dealership downtown on Magnolia.

Went there for breaks. The fixed them. Heard loud squeak a week later, sounded like suspension but wanted to be sure it wasn’t the bearings and breaks they replaced. They racked up over 4 hours of “diagnosis” and then said we couldn’t find it but we regreased your uca’s” which was nice. The squeak went away for a week and came back. I also asked them to replace a bolt in my skid plate. Charged me 7 dollars for a used galvanized bolt. Total was over $400 for basically nothing. Don’t go here unless you know exactly what’s wrong with your vehicle. Predatory mechanics will use your car as an easy half day and then take lunch. Pretty common. Hopefully a manager reads this and looks into it, my name is Sean Hersch and it was a 99 4Runner. Look me up please and discipline your crew. Thank you and I hope nobody else goes through this either

New to the area and need an oil change at 150k miles on my truck knowing there was going to be some maintenance at that mile mark. they penciled me in last minute. The mechanic took the time to show me all of the maintenance required, then proceeded with a best case, worse case scenario according to each. The office staff was highly knowledgeable on what my options were and what was actually happening (meaning they know their mechanics and speak their language quite well). I was not pressured to do anything but more so told what would be necessary and what would be beneficial. All in all I had an awesome experience. Im currently working on a tug boat on the West coast. When I get back it's time to take my partners car in for a spa day 🥰

We have taken our diesel truck here twice. The turnaround times have been a little slow, but it is an old truck, and parts are tricky to get. Communication could be a little more proactive/timely. Other than that, we like the place. The front desk folks are friendly. The mechanic who had been on our truck is nice. The diagnostic process has been good, and prices seem reasonable. We plan to keep using them, and recommend them to others.

I was pleased and impressed with the customer service I got at Unlimited Service. Dakota is friendly, helpful, accommodating, and extremely knowledgable, and took time to answer my questions and get us on the same page. On top of that, Unlimited Service was able to schedule me quickly and get me in and out in a reasonable timeline.

We've been using Unlimited for about 5 years. Absolutely excellent! Fair pricing, and great service. They've fixed/serviced all our vehicles. And, they have also installed trailer hitches and 7 pin hookups. So reliable.

5 months later here we are. Trusted unlimited services bakerview with my 2017 Nissan Titan Cummins. First motor went at 128k with a broken camshaft. They were responsible for replacing the motor in it. They put a used one with I think 50-60k miles on it. Took basically 3 months just to install it (Yes 3 months) with the other 2 sourcing parts. No rental was ever provided and I was extremely patient. They clearly had a new technician work on it based on the fact that he was so proud it was posted on his personal instagram as if it was a milestone. I was told countless times it would be done for weeks on end. Whenever the day came I was supposed to have it back I was told they couldn’t get a part. One of them being an oil pan gasket. I was so frustrated I actually tried to get it myself faster and called Bellingham Nissan and they didn’t have a part number and said It used RTV not an actual gasket (Huge red flag). Upon receiving the truck back it made it a whopping 75 miles total (about 4 hours later) before blowing a crankshaft. A notorious problem on these trucks! Stranded on hannegan, oil spewing, and a no crank from the truck. 4 hours later. After it’s all said and done they blamed me and said it was the tune on the truck which has been there since a month since I bought it. Never had a single issue with it and thousands of people have the same one. I finally had it towed back to my house today and this is how it was left. No updates, No apologizes, no how can we fix it, no anything. Oh and the batteries were both dead (both of which 6 months old). Engine bay is partially dismantled because they basically said screw it it after assessing it as well as a pile of hardware in my passenger seat and nothing. So here we are! I wouldn’t trust this shop to inspect my windshield wipers. No warranty, no faults, blames the customer, and they expect 0 repercussions from any of it. Again that’s Unlimited services bakerview.

My check engine light came on. Pros: Friendly. Quick to get an appointment. Diagnostic process was thorough and code confirmed. (They didn't just pull a code but tested the turbo, response, and verified symptoms.) Performed a 3-part EGR chemical cleaning including both intake and exhaust sides. No up selling. Visual inspections. Fixed the problem!! Cons: I was originally told a price that was $300.00 less than the final bill. The diagnostic service was evidently not included in the price. To avoid "sticker shock" clarifying the out the door price. If not for that, I would have given 5 stars.

The family who owns and operates Unlimited Service are amazing along with all their employees. We brought in our Promaster campervan after hearing a loud noise and having a dealer diagnose it as the front wheel bearings. We are currently living out of our campervan so getting work done on it is a huge hassle if it takes more than a full day. After being strung along by different dealers telling us they had parts on order only for us to show up to our appointment time with them not having the correct parts, we were a bit on edge and called the shop several times ahead of our appointment to confirm the parts were still coming. Everyone we talked to was super helpful rather than annoyed, and they actually understood the implications of us living out of the vehicle they were servicing. They even noticed that our license plate light was out and fixed it without us mentioning it! Ultimately we still have some of the same noise that we originally had but I do NOT fault the guys at Unlimited Service at all since they did not diagnose the issue originally--they did exactly as we asked based on information we had. They test drove the car after the bearings were replaced and noticed the noise remained so they did some additional tests, rotated the tires, and just generally went above and beyond. I still owe them a callback from them checking in on me a couple days after my service to see how the noise was (I was out of cell service for a few days). I have never had a mechanic care as much as the people here. If Bellingham is on our route when we head back from Canada in the campervan, we will definitely be using Unlimited Service to help fix our issues (and letting them diagnose rather than bringing in a diagnosis from a dealer). Highly recommend! I'm a bit sad we don't live in Bellingham full time just so I could use this mechanic!

Left very confused! Was told that I had a diagnostic charge of 160 dollars I asked what was diagnosed they said they didn’t have a code they told me work on my car would be done in morning when actually they did it the night before and still kept my car overnight the work they did ,they said took an hour and a half but there were no changes after said work was done so pretty much they charged me 544 dollars to keep my car overnight and run all my gas out of my car and what was the work that they said they did … I went in with my car heater not working 544 dollars later my heater is still not working but they did say they could change the heater core for 2thousand dollars! Well that would be 2544 dollars and I’m still confused! I would give these guys 0 stars but that was not an option !

I had an excellent experience with Unlimited Service Bakerview! Dakota was professional, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of the right way. The service was fast, friendly, and hassle-free from start to finish. It’s rare to find a company that combines quality workmanship with such genuine customer care. Highly recommend them if you want the job done right the first time!

I have been a long time customer of Unlimited Service. Over the last couple of years their quality of service has declined. Seems to correlate with Dakota talking over management from his parents. The last time I had work done in November of 2025 the experience was horrible. 1. my appointment was scratched out on the calendar. I had set the appointment for Tuesday but called the week before and changed to Monday as the truck started leaking oil. The guy at the front admitted to me that he made a mistake not writing me in for Monday after scratching off Tuesday. This caused a delay in getting the truck looked at and getting the truck fixed. I did not hear back until Friday of that week. 2. When I heard the problem was a part you had replaced less than 2 years ago, I hoped that your shop would step it up for a customer that has spent over 300,000 over the years. I trust your expertise to replace parts with quality long lasting equipment. I am willing to pay a premium price to a shop that stands behind the parts they installed. It would have been fair to replace the part at your cost instead of the full rate. Using the part warranty expired is not a good answer to your customer. I stand behind supplies I install for my clients long past the suppliers warranty. 3. The day I picked up my truck three things stood out to me. I had to use starter fluid to get the truck started, I continue to need it if the truck is stopped for over 8 hours even in this warm winter weather. Grease was all over my new seat cover and the front of the truck. The glove box was dislocated from the dash just hanging on with contents strewn about the truck, 4. Over the next several days I noticed a few things. The truck was rattling way more than usual. I had to brake hard a couple of times and the truck dove to the front passenger side nearly causing me to lose control and hit another vehicle. I decided to examine the front end. What I found surprised me. A broken front shock on the passenger side. The brakes on the front passenger side were making an unusual rubbing sound when braking with light to medium pressure. Truck continued not starting after sitting several hours.I could not take the truck off the road due to work. So, I replaced the front shocks. The rattling went back to its normal noises. The front brakes continued to make the rubbing sound when in use.I talked to a couple of mechanics, and they agreed my truck was improperly removed from the lift. Their response 3 weeks later after sending the email a few times. Would you want to do business with this company? They take zero responsibility. I am sorry to hear that the truck has continued to have issues. I am also sorry to hear that upon picking up there were several small details that were left unattended to. I have forwarded your email to the service writer that handled your vehicle as well as the technician that worked on the vehicle. I have informed the technician that this is not how we leave vehicles for customers. I have reviewed our work order and was involved in a lot of the diagnosis when vehicle was at shop. Given that the vehicle was here for diagnostics on the engine and the lighting, we had no notes regarding any concerns with the suspension or steering of the vehicle, let alone the brakes. I can say with confidence that we not only did not diagnose any front end components as that was not a noted concern, but we did not cause damage to the front shocks or brakes in our repair process as the repairs were all having to do with the engine and lighting. I would love to have an opportunity to inspect said damage to see what could have happened. I have no issue with providing our warranty on the drivability symptoms of needing starting fluid to get the vehicle to start, especially as over time that can cause damage. It is possible that there is another injector oring that has failed but we need to monitor the Injection Pressure while cranking to verify if there is a warranty issue with the pump or if it is just another leak

Dakota and the crew did a great job getting my forklift running smooth. Another shop suggested I needed a new engine. These guys take care of their customers above and beyond.
