Mo and the staff are fantastic to work with and make the oil change process easy. They are great at communicating what they are doing and exactly what the process will be, no surprises.

The technicians were about to close for New Year’s Eve, but they worked me in, were kind and professional, and worked quickly to change my oil and inspect my car. I highly recommend!

Never go here. I went here for an oil change and they never reconnected the air intake hose, they swapped out my drain plug for the wrong size and over tightened it, and then splashed oil all over my car. Zero professionalism at this location.

Had such a great experience at Valvoline Instant Oil Change on South Blvd in Charlotte! The whole stay-in-your-car concept is super convenient, and I barely had to wait five minutes before pulling into the bay. The team here runs like a well-oiled machine, but they still take the time to educate you, not just service your car which, as a newbie, I really appreciated. From the start, everyone was friendly, professional, and efficient. They didn’t just change my oil; they also made sure my air coolant and washer fluid were topped off at the same time, little things that show they care. I went with synthetic oil because of its better viscosity for long drives and that sporty feel, and I think that was definitely the right call! Dion (topside), Enzo (bottomside), and Barry (CSR) were the ones working on my car, and they were all awesome. They explained everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable with what was happening. The whole service, including a computer check on my sensors, came to $141, which felt totally worth it for the level of service I got. If you’re looking for a fast, hassle-free, and actually enjoyable oil change experience, this is the place! I’ll definitely be back.

Service was amazing. Maurice and the attendants were knowledgeable and very helpful. They offered advice on my cat and didn’t beat me up on unnecessary fixes. I would highly recommend them.

Very quick and convenient. Akio was a big help reviewing some check engine lights that came on and all of the work was covered under the guarantee.

The Valvoline on South End location in Charlotte NC is by far the best location I ever been to. The service was outstanding and the techs made me fill right at home. I’m going to try my best to come to this location only if I can.

Visited this Valvoline about a week and a half ago for an oil change. Unfortunately they didn’t close my air filter box after trying to sell me some new filters. Consequently, I broke down on the highway on a trip home to Atlanta at 7:15 in the morning. I was lucky to find a shop but wasted several hours and about $100 to get it figured out. I tried to call this store to inform them about the mistake and no one answered

staff was very friendly and i enjoyed my first visit, however, upon leaving, i think something happened with my back passenger tire when i pulled off. i don’t think they detached the air beforehand and now im currently having to get a new tire 🙃 but overall, great service.

Maybe this is just me but I've never been to an oil change place where they let you stay in the car. Absolutely fantastic. Service, was in and out in less than 15 minutes, never had to leave the car, and they added wiper fluid and check my tire pressure with no additional charge. Definitely will be coming back here for all subsequent oil changes!

I asked them for the price at the beginning and including an oil change and tire rotation (which was already expensive to begin with). When they were done they were going to send me off, but they never did the tire rotation so I asked them to. It took about 30 more minutes (which is ridiculous. It should take 5 minutes). I come back out and they charge me $37 more. I guess I should’ve clarified with them earlier, but they should have told me the price up front when I originally asked. On top of that right before I drove away, I noticed I was missing 2 lug nut caps and they didnt even tell me. If im paying $37 for a TIRE ROTATION I better be getting premium service. Now Im going to have to torque my tires again when I get back home because if they missed the lug nut caps who’s to say they didnt miss tightening my tires too.

Went for an inspection and of course the try to sell me wiper blades. I tell them the blades are fine which they are. 14K miles and garage kept, absolutely nothing wrong with the blades. The guy tells me he's failing me if I don't get the blades. I tell him have a nice day and go somewhere else. I tell the new place my story and they laugh after they check the blades and tell me nothing is wrong with them. Stay away

I've been going to this location a couple of times they have always had good service. The last time I was there I drove up late. They were closing up, but you know, they took good care of me. You all ended up having a good day.

Tire pressure showed one tire low. Stopped at a valvoline to ask if they would check the pressure. So grateful that valvoline was happy to help! No charge!

Despite the location being busy, I was provided a high level of service and felt welcomed by friendly staff members who never made it feel they were rushing to get my car done. No pressure to replace filters, or upgrade my oil.

I've been to this location twice, the first time I did not have any issues and the process was smooth. However, the second time they did not properly tighten my drain plug and my car lost almost all of its oil. After about a month after my oil change (drive my car very infrequently) my low oil light came on. I saw oil on the ground and it clearly leaking from the drain plug. I was unable to get ahold of the shop directly (wrong phone number on the invoice) and had to get ahold of customer service. The lady put in a claim for me and told me someone would call and potentially have to come look at my vehicle. After waiting most of the day I was able to get ahold of the shop directly and talk to the manager. He was nice and explained I could come in and he would check it out and replace the oil. Problem is my car currently has no oil and I have no way of getting oil except from Amazon. So I had to order some, hand tighten my drain plug and drive back to the shop. Now when I arrived at the shop I explained the situation to the tech, who's name I can't remember, but was very nice and apologized that this happened and would take a look at my car. They immediately noticed the drain plug was not tight. I told them I added several quarts of oil (that was also sitting in the seat beside me) and they seemed perplexed when the dip stick was reading full, so I explained again that I filled it up just to drive down here. They didn't change the oil, top it off, or show me how full it was and said I was good to go. Then I had to wait for the manager to come back (they said he was across the street or something?) He asked how he could help (as if he doesn't know) and I explained that I was curious about getting refunded for purchasing additional oil just to be able to come back. He very passive aggressively asked if I had my claim number, receipt, and my name. Then said "I have not received your claim yet, and will call you when I do" with a condescending smile. No further explanation as to the process, no apology for almost ruining my engine, or offer for a discount on the next oil change. Needless to say I won't be back here. Valvoline customer service is terrible... If I hadn't been able to reach out to the shop directly, I'd still be waiting for someone to call me and figure out what to do. If I actually needed my car for work I'd be absolutely hosed waiting for someone to actually take action at Valvoline.

As soon as I arrived, the team came up to my car an introduced themselves. I asked if they did state inspections as well as oil changes and they said yes. They explained to me where to put my car for these services, where to put my previous car registration, etc. Very kind and thorough and then showed me where I could wait for the services. Service was quick, staff was polite, conversational and technically proficient. They discussed my air filters and updates/recommended maintenance. Got me out quick, explained my bill and explained the state inspection documentation. Top notch service and customer service.

I’ve been a Valvoline customer for over 20yrs. I moved to Charlotte and continued their services. I will no longer be a customer of Valvoline any longer!! My last oil change, my windshield wiper fluid went empty before my next oil change. Tells me they never changed it. Here it is my next oil change 11/22/25 and there was 4 , yes 4 workers underneath my hood knocking and bumping trying to get my cap off , they tell me they don’t have the right size tool for it to be removed ( smh) red flag #1. So, soon as I am able to leave, my truck is louder than usual. When I press on gas, it a rumble and that has never done that and it smells like something is leaking underneath! All the new crew are young young guys and the service is much different now! My truck drives different, has a louder rumble when I accelerate and I can no longer trust Valvoline on South Blvd any longer!!!! Not to mention the preventative maintenance reminder sticker was written in black marker, can not tell the mileage numbers, just a poor experience!
