Less than impressed. Went for a flat tire replacement, got text service was completed, paid bill. They replaced tire but DID NOT install it! New tire in trunk, donut still on car! WTH? Asked staff, said they wouldn't install due to overtightened lug nut. Think you could've used your words & communicated this before you took my money?? Again, NOT impressed.

Took my car for oil change. After 2 hours wait, they said car is ready. Paid and took off. Oil light came on. Stop and checked, there was no oil. Took it back. 3 people check to make sure what I was telling them is true. They fill the oil but not 5 qt. Just enough to touch the bottom dot of dip stick. I don't trust these people. Will not be going back for oil change.

Went here for a simple tire patch on a Sunday. Read some of these awful reviews and thought I would chime in. The auto staff was courteous, the service was cheap, and completed in a reasonable amount of time considering their volume. They have a picture wall of all the mechanics and the auto manager. They were all men, so maybe the problem employee mentioned in the other reviews no longer works there. Either way, good service. No complaints.

Got here at 7 am. Waited 1 hour to get an oil change. Waited another two for two tires. Seen numerous staff walking around. Telling customers there’s a 4.5 hour wait for an oil change is a bit excessive. I asked the lady if mine was up next and she says not sure they kinda do what they want. Terrible experience. I see why actual tire places cost more because they know what their doing.

Would NOT recommend. First, they do not/cannot install run flat tires. But they will let you make the appointment and drop off the car. We received a text that the service was complete, instead they canceled the appointment and stuck the tires we purchased from them in the car, no phone call or anything to ask if that is even how we wanted the tires handled. Would have preferred them not to be placed in the back seat of the car. Definitely unprofessional service.

I live in Lee's Summit but there have been multiple times in the past year or so that I've called and/or visited the Lee's Summit Walmart and have been disappointed. From calling the auto center between 4:00p and 6:00p being told they aren't taking any more cars and they don't close until 7:00p. This has happened on MANY occasions. The phone calls there have not been satisfactory. On the contrary, Independence Walmart has always been PHENOMINAL! I call them or go to them as my 2nd choice and I ALWAY have a satisfactory experience with their auto center service and customer service. I also like the new set-up the store has created. Thank you for taking care of me and not making me feel like you are ready to go home or like I'm just a number!

Derek was very nice and helpful! I didn’t get the name of the technician working on my car but he was also very nice and explained things thoroughly to me.

I spent five hours dealing with them on Thursday cause they couldn’t get their scheduling system to work and everytime they told me to call back later and everytime I did the slot I tried to get I was told had already got booked then once I finally got an appointment I triple checked they had the tires needed in stock and I was assured they yes they had them etc come the appointment time on Saturday I went to check on and showed them everything I had written down about the tires I was quoted and the lady looked at me like I was stupid said they didn’t have the tires in stock told me I should’ve gotten the name of who quoted me etc even though I said that after my many phone calls I had talked to five different people then instead of helping us find tires at other stores she had us calling other stores to try and find tires and the other stores didn’t want to answer so we ended up calling the big O tires down the street and what do you know they went and got them and we got them done same day your better off just going to an actual tire store or even fire stone

If you are pressed for time, I'd recommend going somewhere else. They offer good value but an extremely slow service. I just had my battery replaced 11/12/2019. It took 30 minutes standing in line to get checked in. When asked if they could page me when it was finished, the lady said they would if they could. In other words, if they are too busy, they wont. It took about 1 1/2 hours to replace the battery after getting checked in. The tire pressure light was on and they aired up my tires for free. That was nice of them since they didn't have to do that. The process for checking out is terrible as well. They only have 1 person on checkout, my car was done for 30+ minutes but as long as they are checking in other customers or checking out customers who just want to buy things, they wont tell you if your car is done, even if you are sitting in the lobby. After the guy returned the keys to the counter, 3 customers walked in to stand in line. I'm not sure how long it would have been if I didn't stand in line. Also if the phone rings, they will answer it even if customers are waiting in line. The entire process to about 3 hours. If you're not worried about the time, then I'd recommend them for the price.

First of all, I wouldn't trust these idiots to hold a flashlight for me while I fixed the issue. I came in to replace my wife's 4 tires on her Edge. I was helped relatively quickly, but apparently the tires I ordered weren't in stock, the employee didn't notify me. In fact, no one notified me. I received a text that work had started--but then nothing else. The whole evening we waited to hear it was ready. No call. Today, I gave them a 4 hour head start to see if they would wrap it up and call me. Nope! I had to call them. And then after a grueling 20 minute conversation of everyone passing the blame around to the previous shift, this or that employee, or whatever, it was determined my tires aren't in stock, cannot be ordered from another Walmart location, and that no one had bothered to call to let me know. Now I have to scramble to find a different location to handle this and have wasted nearly a day since dropping off my vehicle. Thanks guys! Really appreciate the effort you guys put in to being this terrible. It's quite amazing.

Somebody put a tool through my tire, I went in for a simple tire replacement that has now taken multiple hours to just get the work started because neither the employee or the manager he called over to help can figure out how to apply a warranty to a tire order. I was quoted 3 dollars with the warranty and it suddenly is costing me 124 dollars for this tire, something they are getting rid of the first batch of paperwork to redo, and even with me willing to pay the price hike nothing is happening. They are collecting all of my information again despite having it readily available, and the manager walked off leaving the originally confused employee. I have never in my life been somewhere so unprofessional. The employee himself, name of Dylan did such an amazing job trying to do something he wasn't trained to do, the manager who's name was not given should be fired immediately for expecting his employees to do his job.

Terrible service. Took my car in to get one tire replaced with my warranty and when I went in for my appointment I had at 11am I called the day before to make sure they had my tire ready to go and when I came in for my appointment they tell me they don't have my tire in stock so they send me to market street location and when I drive over there they tell me they are so booked they can't get me In till 5pm so I have to leave and go back and when I go back at 5pm they tell me my warranty is know we're to be found in the system even tho they were able to pull up my warranty at the other location know problem but now it just doesn't exist. They call the location that sent me over to them and they say of yeah we didn't see it in our system either. I got the run around all day and then even tho I paid for a warranty and had proof they couldn't help me. WORST EXPERIENCE!! don't take your vehicle here!!!!

9AM appointment. Dropped off car at 8:55. Just getting two tires mounted on rims. Not even putting them on the vehicle. Prepaid and scheduled over a week early. Had to get a manager at 9:50 because they had not even started them yet

Came in to get 4 new tires on my vehicle. I made an appointment and they took my can in right at the time I was scheduled. They told me it would be a hour at most. It turned into 3 hours. Then after it finally was finished my tire pressure sensor was saying there was an error. Thought I just needed to drive it to regulate or capture the correct pressure. That was incorrect, so I thought it just was not reset correctly. I was wrong, then I had to schedule to come back in cause they were so slow/backed up. When brought it in for another appointment I was notified the sensor was broken. They tried to tell me I needed to pay for a new sensor and I let them know it was just fine prior to bringing it in for new tires. I told them they needed to correct their own mistake. They had to ask the manager it could be taken care of free of charge and he approved that. When I was told it was getting fixed for free the tech that put my tires on finally admitted he broke the sensor, but just left it the way it was. Knew he did it and still tried to get me to pay for a new one till I stood my ground. So call the location out on all of their issues or better yet don’t go to this location.

They get 2 stars Only because there is always one person who knows what's going on and how to do things so 2 stars for that otherwise 0 stars. Definitely plan on leaving your car there for more than 3 to 4 hours even if there's only 3 people you included in the shop. There Always seems to be More than enough workers, not doing enough work the only good thing about it is it's Walmart it's cheap. The person working the 1st shift of the morning and I don't mean late at night early morning but 8 o'clock a.m. has never been friendly despite who is working I have made 6 separate trips in and only 1 time has the person behind the counter been friendly or even business like They were just rude. As i sat there for 3 and a 1/2 hours getting a new set of tires and an inspection done I felt the same sentiment across the Room and saw every person leave feeling as frustrated as I was. Walmart get better those people were good when they started and aren't now It's probably because you don't pay them Enough.

They took me in when all other Walmart autos were not taking appointments or closed early and got my tire swapped. They're services are excellent, even told me about some worn lug nut studs. Great guys there

Great service, unbeatable prices! If your vehicle requires full synthetic oil changes, this is the place to go. First time, I accidentally chose this location instead of the one near my home. The other shop wouldn't work me in, even though nobody was busy at 4:45 on a weekday. So I came here anyway, a little late, and they got me right in. Second time, got me in on time at 4:30 on a weekday. I added a restoration for a plastic headlight housing I ruined with a solvent, and they brought it back to life! Glad I found this shop by accident... Serendipity.
