The worst service ever. Waited 4 plus hours to get tires. Came back for a rotation and balance and was told they couldn't do it because my tires was choppy and that meant a suspension issue. I called Audi who got me in the same day to check for these so called issues and was told that they don't know what they're talking about but that my tires was fine and they rotated them with no issues. They also noticed that the size that Walmart had placed on my car was not what I asked for. I'm sorry but I will never go back to this particular Walmart ever again. The worst service ever and they don't care about making their customers happy.

Adam and whoever the young guy was I thank you so so much. You guys are the best and sent from heaven. Both deserve raises. They fixed my car and the mistakes someone else made and literally did their job with smiles on their faces. God bless.

If I could give negative stars I would. I had one small hole that needed to be plugged. Shouldn't take more then 15 minutes. It took them from 710pm until 10:02pm to get my truck fixed 1. Everyone was complaining. I get it, it's late... But if you do good quick service everyone will be happy and you can go home. Another customer asked for a manager, it took them 15 min to get one to just show up, but of course he was from the wrong department and had to get someone to speak with him the next day. The cashier Jason was aggressively standing next to the manager and customer that was complaining. The manager didn't have a clue what he was doing. If you are in a pinch and have 3 hours to waste then this is your place. If you want amazing quick service I always go to Primo tires in Independence... But, they aren't open this late. As I said, I was in a pinch. I'll never come here again if I have a choice.

If I could give them negative stars I would. Incompetent doesn't begin to describe them, the price isn't worth the risk. They literally didn't know how to read the dipstick on a car that the engine was hot and were rude after wasting an hour of my time. Making threats about how my engine would blow up, which is funny considering they were the last ones to service it.

I've made four attempts to get my oil changed. Every time they have a nonesense excuse. I've been told they only have one service tech on duty that wasnt taking no more appointments today. We are short staffed it would 3 to 4 hour wait. Today I stop by and was told they are not taking any service tickets today How rude. I saw 3 gentleman standing talking and doing nothing. After 4 attempts to get my oil changed. I guess I'll have to take my bussiness elsewhere. They used to be a good place. I guess not anymore.😐

I live in Lee's Summit but there have been multiple times in the past year or so that I've called and/or visited the Lee's Summit Walmart and have been disappointed. From calling the auto center between 4:00p and 6:00p being told they aren't taking any more cars and they don't close until 7:00p. This has happened on MANY occasions. The phone calls there have not been satisfactory. On the contrary, Independence Walmart has always been PHENOMINAL! I call them or go to them as my 2nd choice and I ALWAY have a satisfactory experience with their auto center service and customer service. I also like the new set-up the store has created. Thank you for taking care of me and not making me feel like you are ready to go home or like I'm just a number!

This positive review is for Adam at the tire center. They were super understaffed and backed up. The customers were being rude. Adam was super nice and helpful to everyone despite the angry customers who didn't deserve it. When Walmart didn't have the tire I ordered, he helped me get a better one at my original order price. It's clear from the other reviews on here that Walmart corporate doesn't care about its poor performance and definitely isn't willing to help this guy out with adequate support, but Adam is awesome! Give him a raise and another employee. He's what's keeping that place going.

Scheduled an appointment for 9am to replace all 4 tires. Service finally completed at 11:50. 2 stars because work completed seems adequate but service time was not. They were shorthanded( I get it) but had 5 techs and no more than 3 cars in the bay at one time and mine was started not too long after 9am...maybe 10 m inutes went by. Even if only 1 tech worked on it....coming in at over 40min per tire is absurd. Hoped for an hour, would have settled for 2 hours but after that you've lost me on a scheduled appointment.

Got there 15 mins before close for a simple taillight replacement, 5-10 min job and they wouldn't do it because they close at 7 and they were cleaning. Okay advertise you close at 645 then. Pitiful. Won't be coming back to any Walmart Automotive

Cody and Jason stand out as exemplary automotive technicians, distinguished not only by their technical expertise but also by their unwavering commitment to customer service. However, what truly sets them apart is their willingness to go above and beyond for their clients, often stepping in to assist when it is least expected. I am profoundly grateful for the support they extended during a time of need. Their willingness to lend a helping hand, coupled with their remarkable skills, has fostered a sense of trust and loyalty that is hard to come by. It is not merely their proficiency as technicians that I appreciate, but also the kindness and consideration they exhibit toward their clients. In an industry where customer service often takes a backseat, Cody and Jason shine brightly as exemplars of what it means to truly care for one’s clients. Their efforts have undoubtedly made a significant impact on my experience, and for that, I am sincerely thankful.

Although the people inside were nice, the clearance was amazing & for the most part it’s a clean store, the auto department is the slowest I’ve come across. Instead of saying they’re booked for the day, they close in one hour and are continuing to take customers behind the 9 cars already in line. We were told it wouldn’t be very long 3 hours ago and still have yet to be serviced. I’m number 2 of 9. The work is good, very satisfied, but not so sure it’s worth the wait.

Only go here if you don't have plans for the rest of your day. I went just to get my headlight bulb replaced and ended up being there for over 2 hours. The guys at the front desk were nice and the mechanic started off nice but at the end of my service throws my keys on the counter and says "by the way you have only been waiting an hour" which is not true I waited an hour for them to pull my car in and then another hour for them to actually work on it after pulling it in. It says clear as day on my paperwork that I checked in at 11:43am and service was completed at 2:06pm. The guy at the counter apologized for the mechanic and stated the mechanic can't see the full time I've been there he can only see after it's been pulled in, well if that's the case he should have asked the front counter or kept his snarky comment to himself. Other than that the price was reasonable and the work was done correctly.

I brought my vehicle in to have a plug put in my tire and it took an hour and 20 minutes and then they park my car and block me in with a semi truck when I have things that I have to do.

When I took my car in back in October for all 4 new tires I had bought the warranty since then I’ve had replaced 1 tire took it up there to tire center and they looked me up in system and said I was free to go no cost for the tire bc I indeed in fact had the warranty buttt now 02/16/2026 I have a flat from pothole and their saying they don’t have any regulation of me having warranty that sometimes system doesn’t show it which is weird like what’s the point in paying extra to get the warranty if they can’t find it on the system ?? So now I’m looking everywhere for this damn paper saying I bought warranty mind you it’s been wayyy over 5 months hopefully I find it so I can prove I have warranty or I’m out of luck and money bc I’d have to pay full amount out of my pocket smh it’s just so disappointing really

Customer service is horrible. Lack of respect and communication. Unable to provide or preform service in a timely manner. Staff does not order or replace value stems with brand new tire order. Unable to complete with 2nd appointment 2 weeks later due to same issues. No reply from management or corporate. Walmart tire center and staff are completely worthless.

Ooh, my God. I could literally go back there and take care of my car faster. I saw a woman wait 2 hours to get her battery changed. I arrived at 730 and was the third customer in line and it took 2 hours to get my car in and another whole hour to get the tires done. Are the tires techs here really only required to do 3 cars in a whole 8 hour shift? With as hard as Walmart nit-picks their employees they've somehow let this slide? Also they seem to be by appointment only anymore?? Pathetic, go literally anywhere else.

I recently visited the Auto Center for service and was deeply disappointed with how a serious concern was handled. While waiting, a man entered the building with a pit bull after previously walking in without one. As someone with a severe fear of dogs, I immediately stood up and moved away. When I expressed my fear, the man told me to “shut up” and insisted the dog wouldn’t bite. I went to customer service for help. A woman confirmed dogs weren’t allowed and said she would contact the automotive manager. When I returned to the Auto Center, another employee told me the dog was no longer there, which made me feel safe only to find out moments later that the dog was still present. I felt lied to, unheard, and unsafe. It took speaking to four employees before I finally saw a manager, MJ. Instead of addressing the concern, he argued with me, dismissing my fear and stating I couldn’t prove whether the dog was a service animal or not. At no point did anyone ask the owner for proof or make any effort to protect me as a customer. As the only African American in this situation, it’s hard not to feel that my concerns were ignored because of who I am. Emotional support animals are not permitted per Walmart policy, and this man clearly did not walk in with a service animal. This experience made me feel unprotected, dismissed, and disrespected. I came in for car service and left feeling completely disregarded.

Bought 4 tires on their website, scheduled an appointment and dropped off my van. Got a text saying that service had started, an hour later I got a call saying that the tires didn't fit. They were the exact same tires. They tried to upsell me another set for an extra $300, I said no, I'll be there to get my van soon. They had all 4 tires off the rims before the decided they couldn't use the new tires, so it took an hour almost to get them back on. Best part was when they told me I had to do the return myself and take the tires, that had bar codes, with me because they couldn't insure that they would still be in the store if I left them there overnight, and that I wouldn't be refunded if they were sold or stolen. Back tire went flat on the way home, and they said that there was no way to prove I didn't hit a nail on the way home. Took the tires back the next day once the return online had been approved and they tried to tell me they couldn't return all 4 at once because it would leave an open receipt. Worst customer service ever. Go anywhere else but here. It's worth it to pay more somewhere else. Never again.
