I brought my car here to get two tires on a Monday around noon. I already had them ordered in. I was informed it would be 4 hours to get them on. It ended up being 7 and I was unfortunately stuck in their waiting area that entire time. I know they can't control how many cars come in for the day, but I don't feel like they worked quickly or had enough staff at all. I won't return.

Went here for an oil change on a Friday mid afternoon. Waited inside for 15 minutes for the supervisor to finally come to the counter, to get told to go wait in the garage, not in a kind manner. I go to the garage and try to get someone’s attention for 5 minutes, when I finally do he tells me I’m going to have to wait he’s busy, so I wait and wait. If they don’t want business just say that. Will just go to an actual oil changing place. Thanks.

I always go here for my oil changes from here on out. THE NICEST CREW and MOST HELPFUL and VERY KIND people. Went once before, had a great experience, decided to go back. Went in for an oil change tonight, was leaving the parking lot and there was a little bit of white smoke coming from under the hood, anxiety reached 100% immediately so I turned around, scared to death, and they checked it out, no questions asked. No attitude, only concern. Very kind through the entire process, and I have terrible anxiety, and they also made sure I was okay, I can't say enough kind things about them. The issue hasn't popped up again after driving around for a bit just to be sure. I will always go here in the future, I adore everyone the Auto Care Center, thank you for taking another peek and making sure that this anxiety chihuahua was good to get back on the road.

I came in a few days ago and had some tires priced here last week. I coincidentally had a flat tire last night so I had my car towed here. I came in 15 minutes after they opened and they told me they wouldn’t be able to help until Sunday btw this Friday morning. I was told they only go by appointments. Hard lesson learned never rely on Walmart for automotive help.

I had a 10 o’clock appointment to put one tire on this morning. The initial tech that helped me originally complained that it was a bad day and that they don’t have a torque wrench and that somebody needs to come pick me up because it’s gonna be several hours. he processed on the iPad the car but entered the wrong tire for the wrong location on the car. As he walked away, he let out a long three step fart. 2 1/2 hours later I have a tech chatting with a girl that was seeking service for 20 minutes Then saw that I was standing there and asked me which car I was waiting on and I told him and he said that they were finally trying to find someone to tell him which tire to put on which location of the car. Once that was done, he had it done in 20 minutes. No sense of urgency since they made the mistake of leaving their torque wrench and a car the day before… Backed up and no sense of urgency or customer service skills at this location for tire care , just absolutely horrendous .

Such a bad experience! The day before the guy I talked there told me I can make an appointment so I did. I was asking him how long I should expect to stay and he told me around 1 to 2 hours, I needed to know cuz I took a few hours off work. When I came I checked IN then I was waiting and after an hour they still didn't touch my car I went to the guy to ask him what's going on ... he told me they soon going to start work on my car I waited another 45 minutes and they still didn't do anything so I just took my car. A waste of time I was there for around 2 and a half hours. They are so not organized and very slowly I'm sorry I'm saying that but that was a really bad experience. Especially when you taking an appointment make sure you're giving the service on time or maybe in a delay of 30 minutes but not 2 hours 😣😣😣

I've used this place for oil changes for several years but that's about to change. I get the $54 Mobil One service which is supposed to include a vacuum, windshield wash, fluids top off, tire top off & check of the wipers. The technician was obviously in a bad mood, arguing with other staff. Although he checked the boxes for the extra services he did none of them. No vaccum, dirty windshield, torn wiper blade ( I replaced it later) tires at uneven levels & I topped off my other fluids later. Next time I'll just change my own oil on this & our other 4 cars. Very disappointing.

Walmart requests that you make appointments on-line. A very good idea these days. Got several text messages and emails reminding me of my appointment which was outstanding. Got to this Walmart early to drop off my car as I needed to be elsewhere. An hour before my appointment I got another text reminding me about my appointment, only to walk in 5 minutes later and was told that there weren't doing oil changes today. I really like the use of texts and emails to remind people about their appointments, but they can also use the same system to let people know there is a problem. I called back 2 hours later to see if the "glitch" was fixed and to see if I could get my car in and was told "NO" they didn't have any more appointments today and they wouldn't work me in even though they didn't honor the appointment I had this morning.

What's the point of an appointment when you don't follow it!! I checked in at exactly 11:20 and my appointment was at 11:30. The appointment was for 1 hour. When I asked why they haven't started with the service at 1:00 they told me in a rude way that there is nothing I can do. Like why not give out appointments where you can actually fulfill them!! Could have given ZERO STARS if I could!!! I literally had to wait for 3 hours!!

Nothing on the employees working but it's a horrible customer experience. I had an appointment scheduled at 5pm to have a flat tire patched. I only went here because it was covered under road hazard. I left at 8:15pm. The autocare center closes at 7. Please don't let people schedule appointments if they can't be completed in a reasonable time.

Don’t bring your car here unless you have nothing else to do all day. I had an 8am appt and my car wasn’t mounted until 1008; I went to get breakfast and came back to keep waiting. I could’ve dropped the car off and ubered home to rest. I had to cancel my 11am chiropractor appt because they STILL weren’t done. They said staffing issues but they knew they were short staffed when they scheduled my appt. Then the boss who told me he would price match my tires wasn’t there today and they tried to call him and he didn’t answer. He said he was going to be here, but apparently they ended up Switching shifts last minute. So then they had to price match my tires, after I already had been in there over four hours. Then, they had to avoid the items and entered them manually, which took more time, and I had family waiting on me because my uncle was delivering my furniture.. Never ever again

Tires have gotten expensive so we ended up at Walmart. We got a great deal on the tires and got the appointment. I wish I had seen these reviews beforehand. It's every bit as bad as the reviews. There is no urgency at all. My wife watched as they replaced the tires at a rate of about one per hour even once we were in the Bay! Her whole day was lost on something that could have been done in an hour. If you see this review you have been warned.

Honestly if I could put a zero I would. Went there for a tire repair at 740, since it’s first come first serve (you can only book appointments for tire and oil changes), and I ended up leaving at 1120. Around the 2 hour mark of waiting, someone eventually came over to show me it was a side wall puncture and would need to be replaced. I told them to go ahead, but for the next hour and half or so, radio silence. No one told me how much it would cost, whether my roadside hazard warranty would cover it, or even when my car was done. I stared at my assuming finished car parked on the side for 45 minutes or so. Keith (?) the auto manager literally walked by me multiple times not even looking towards my direction to even update me on any aspect of this service. I’ve learned my lesson to never go here again. I wouldn’t even recommend this service to my worst enemy. Get it together walmart auto, that was literal bullshit.

This Walmart auto center struggles with getting their work done in a timely fashion. If you do not have another mode of transportation be prepared to wait a few hours. I simply needed some TPMS Sensors replaced. I didn't need a rotation or oil change and I waited for several hours. 3 auto care technicians were inside the store not even doing any automotive work. Though they may have been doing other important things. The Walmart auto care center in Gardner KS is who they should strive to be like. That auto care center always does well!

I'd give 0 stars if it were possible. Do not trust this location! I scheduled an appointment a week in advance. When I showed up to the appointment there were no technicians available to service my vehicle.

Review of Walmart Tire & Lube Center at 157th & Metcalf, Overland Park, KS Consistently Exceptional Service Having visited the Walmart Tire Center at 157th and Metcalf several times for oil changes and battery service, I am continually impressed by the team’s outstanding professionalism and warmth. Each visit, I’ve encountered different staff members, yet all have been consistently competent, kind, friendly, and helpful. This speaks volumes about their work environment and training, which appears to be truly exceptional. Surpassing Expectations in the Automotive Industry In today’s automotive world, encountering such genuine customer care is a rarity—especially at a large, national chain. I initially chose Walmart for its competitive pricing; the tire prices I found online were unmatched anywhere else. However, I stayed—and keep returning—because of the extraordinary customer experience. Unlike some other shops, where you feel pushed toward unnecessary services (and come to expect bad news about your car), Walmart’s team is honest and straightforward. I’ve never felt pressured, and they focus on real rather than invented problems. Amenities and Convenience A huge plus at this location is the ability to shop while your car is serviced. No need to waste time in a cramped waiting area or flip through outdated magazines—Walmart lets you get errands done or browse, making the experience not only efficient but enjoyable. Renewed Loyalty to Walmart I hadn’t visited Walmart much in recent years, but this tire and lube department has truly won me over. The confidence, kindness, and competence of these employees has made me a huge Walmart fan once again. I now find myself hoping for reasons to visit their auto department, just to experience the stellar service. Thank you to the entire team for consistently going above and beyond! If I could, I’d give more than five stars.

If you enjoy waiting 2 1/2 hours for a tire rotation and balance, come to this Walmart! (With an appointment). Should've read the reviews before coming here. They're exactly as described. No urgency, staff members standing around talking, showing signs of frustration they have to work. At the 2 hour mark, I was told I had a nail in one of my tires. I was told it was unrepairable and shown options for other new tires. The staff clearly tried to convince not to have it replaced that day because they didn't want to work, come to find out their shift was about to end and the tech just wanted to go home. What's even more funny is the nail location on the tire wasn't as described and the tire was repairable, on a less than 2 year old tire. Save your time and money and find a reputable tire shop that knows what they're doing and actually takes pride in their job, treating customers with respect. Walmart will hire just about anyone to work in their auto centers 🤦♂️

I go to this walmart often as it's right next to my employer, but the tire and battery department is the WORST. Constantly standing around while there is a full line, my car has been incomplete multiple times, the price is different every time and I'm told a different story as to why, once I got new tired and they didn't even balance them and I almost wrecked my car. They don't know how to work the registers. My co-workers car was damaged there last week. I will never be using them for ANYTHING again.

Went to get tire warrantied. Said they don’t sell the tire but have 6 in stock. They did not want to even be bothered to look. Pointed at the row of tires behind the battery shelf. They were there then comes time to check tread depth. They use the Small hump in the middle of the tread to measure from. Said it was a 4 not eligible for warenty. He rambled on and on he never seen someone go thru that much tread in two weeks. I told him I don’t care put a tire on I’ll pay for it. Very rude combative and shady staff on this location. And the whole ordeal took over an hr to get a carry on tire mounted and balanced. Granted the tire I needed warranties was two maybe three weeks old. Damage was side wall due to pothole. Never will I be back to this Walmart tire and lube. ( former tire and lube tech also)
