My Jeep Wrangler broke down on a Sunday near Burnett Automotive on Metcalf, Overland Park. I initially requested a tow to the Jeep dealership as the issue seemed complex. Mechanical and electrical components were suspect. But when the tow truck advised that the dealership was gated and we couldn’t drop it off on Sunday I took a chance and asked him to tow me to Burnett Automotive across the parking lot. This turned out to be the right decision. Next morning at 7 am Steve discussed my issue in detail. He advised that they were busy but he understood my situation and worked me in. By 3 pm I received a document with the diagnosis and estimate. Repair would be completed next day at 9 am! Fantastic and quick service. When I went to pick up the vehicle It was running back normal. But I noticed auto stop/start service light was on. I failed to specify that this was an issue I needed corrected and when I mentioned this they advised I leave the vehicle but might be tight squeeze to look at next day. Next day I got a call from Steve stating he decided to look at it himself between his other scheduled services and was able to sort the problem and repair it and it was ready. The team was quick, courteous, knowledgeable in my Jeep vehicle , and did twice the diagnostics and repair within 3 days. For what I believe was a very fair price I suspect much lower than you would pay at a dealership. I hope to never have issues again with my vehicle but if I did I will be visiting Burnett Automotive on Metcalf , Overland Park. Thank you Steve and Co.

After three different places that had tried to figure out the problem my car was having for a year, they were the ones to find the issue and fix it. Don't waste you money on electrical diagnostic @ the rate of $150+ an hour. Take it to Burnett, it was a releif!

On 11/28/2025, I ask Nathan Quaintance, for a regular oil change. What I got was a $82.19 synthetic oil change. Nathan, is a deceitful and dishonest service advisor. If that’s what he does for a regular oil change. What do you think happens when you ask for Brakes, Suspension or Power train service? BUYER BEWARE!!! I wasn't going to add part 2 of this oil change, but since the owner responded I decided to include it. First my car is a 2007 Mazda CX9 not a 2017 Mazda CX3. So it does not require Synthetic oil. The following Friday while driving the oil filter gasket failed. I had to pull off the road into a parking lot, as the oil was flowing from my car. I got under my car and saw the oil was coming from the oil filter at a very steady rate. So I called a tow truck since I wasn't going to drive my in that condition. I had the car towed back to Burnett Automotive where the oil change was done. To make a long story short later that day they called me and said "that the oil filter gasket had rolled", causing the lost of oil. And that they would refund me the cost of the original oil change.

I discovered I had a slow leak in my tire that was losing about 2 psi per day. I called them first thing in the morning to ask about their availability, and they told me to come drop it off and they’d squeeze me into their busy schedule to get it fixed that same day. I always get prompt and polite service, and great care with my vehicles at Burnett, which is why I continue going to them year after year.

While not an automotive mechanic or engineer myself, I do know a little something about cars. I noticed that my rear driver-side sway bar link had detached. This prompted me to drop my SUV off to have that replaced, as well as obtain a quote for front end strut assemblies, as well as a price quote for rear shocks. They began with thorough questioning about driving behavior (bumpy roads, off-roading, etc) and listened so carefully to my observations about the overall suspension system. They then performed a suspension diagnostics, provided me a quote for replacement of the rear sway bar links, the front strut assemblies, and the rear shocks. I decided to get the rear sway bar links replaced, and also purchase new front strut assemblies. I dropped my SUV off 2 days later, and they had it ready to go at the time I had requested. In driving the vehicle, I notice a huge difference in the suspension system and overall comfort to the ride. While I could not afford to also get the rear shocks, you can bet I'll return later to get those rear shocks and finish improving the suspension system. My many thanks to Michael and Keegan, who are so extremely kind to me and my wife. I also want to acknowledge Brandon T. for his excellent diagnostics on the suspension system repairs that were needed, as well as any involvement he might have had on the the all-wheel alignment. Overall, I was so impressed by this automotive company and the people that work there. I highly recommend Burnett Automotive.
