They did an incredible job, and their customer service is 10/10. I sent a single email asking if they would fix my tint under warranty (originally poorly performed at another shop out of state), and they had already contacted Llumar and arranged everything for me to drop the vehicle off by the time they responded. It was done in a day, and their work was flawless. I would not consider going anywhere else to have my windows tinted.

Dave has done 2 of my cars and 1 for my son. He has also replaced some pieces that I damaged doing autocross. I recently drove from southern Iowa, where we now live, to get some work done; I knew I would be happy with his work. Dave’s prices are fair, he stays in touch, and the work he does is excellent. Dave over at Mid America Tint has been great! He took in my Lexus IS500 last week to replace the tint that was applied by the dealerships company. There were really bad rippling burns in every window. Dave fixed everything, made the windows flawless, and he helped me use the warranty, so I had no out of pocket. I took in my husband's Genesis today and again, quick, clean, and perfect work. The team there is fantastic! I would highly recommend this shop for all your tinting needs!

I’m no different than a lot of consumers. I called around price shopping before I made my choice. Even called at places that groupons available. This is the only shop that took time to talk to me over the phone. Everyone else wanted to give a price and hangup. AND, prices were lower than anyone else I spoke with, except the groupons. But service is important as well. When I brought my car in, I spoke with Dave regarding the tint. I had already made up my mind to go with the CTX tint. The extra $ are worth it, especially knowing I will have my car for a few years. Dave was courteous and knowledgeable. At this point, I knew I brought my 2017 Impala to the right place. Upon completion, the car looked great. Before writing this, I wanted to wait the required time to roll down my windows and make sure there were no problems. All windows work as expected. Great Job Dave! If anyone asks about window tinting, I will strongly advise they come see you. Update 6/2023. Traded in my Impala and took my Blazer to David based on my previous experience. He did not disappoint. Tint job was excellent as expected. I appreciate it. Thank you! Included a before and after.

There is an art to this type of work, and you want to have it done by people who treat you and your vehicle with respect and have a genuine care for an amazing job well done - whether it’s a big job or a small one. Mid America Tint recently did my vehicle glass. The had to remove the old tint and replace it with LLumar. Dave Robertson helped me and was awesome throughout the whole process. The price was right (I called 4 places to check prices), the service was great, the entire experience was top notch! Dropped my vehicle off and it was done about 60-80 min later! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. On 1/14/26, I had an appointment with David at Mid America Tint. From the beginning, everything went smoothly with the installation and I was pleased with how it looked—until I got into my truck to leave. As soon as I started it, my truck began going crazy. The tailgate kept popping open by itself. David asked if it had ever done that before, and I told him absolutely not. Then the headlights started flashing on their own, the windshield wipers came on, and every light on my dash lit up — check engine, transmission, everything. I was in complete shock because I’ve never had a single issue with this truck before. I thought maybe the windshield tint installation interfered with a sensor. David told me to drive it back around to the garage, but while doing so, the truck completely died. It wouldn’t restart. We had to put it in neutral and push it back into a parking spot. He suggested disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes. After reconnecting it, it still wouldn’t start at first. Eventually it did, but the check engine light remained on. While sitting in their lobby, I researched issues related to tinting a Ram 1500 windshield. I found information explaining that when tinting these trucks, you must be very careful with water because the BCM (Body Control Module) is located under the driver’s side dash. If too much water is used, it can get into the BCM and cause exactly the type of electrical issues I was experiencing. I showed David a video explaining this, and the symptoms matched my truck perfectly. David told me they would 100% cover any damages if there were issues. I asked him to put that in writing, and he signed the back of a business card stating they would cover damages. After leaving, I went to O’Reilly’s to have the check engine light scanned. Multiple codes came up consistent with BCM and moisture-related electrical issues. To this day, my truck still has random lights turning on and off. I’ve reached out to David several times. He said he would give the owner my information and that the owner would contact me. I’ve never received a call. I’ve texted David multiple times since, and now he no longer responds. I’ve told them I just want the BCM replaced. Even if the truck isn’t completely failing right now, moisture damage to an electrical module can cause long-term problems. Returning my $60 for the tint doesn’t fix the damage done to my truck. Have the integrity to make this right. I would strongly advise others to stay away.
