I brought my car in for inspection and to have a few small issues addressed. Honest, efficient service at a reasonable price. I’ll definitely take my car back there.

Do not go here! If I could rate negative starts I would. Don’t go to this shop. I’m a certified technician and off the first conversation I could tell something was off about the staff here. Drove from Charleston sc to Richmond Va and had my front driver side axel fail on me. Took it to this shop and they proceeded to tell me it will only be an hour, came back an hour later to be told oh it’s going to take about another hour, okay no problem I understand. I gave them 2 hours this time and they still have yet to start working on the car. Told me the wheel bearing may be damaged I might have to replace it, they look at it and say it’s just the cv Axel everything els is fine. Next day cars done ready to pick up, awesome! Following day go to drive my family back to Charleston sc and around 73 miles into the trip car started shaking violently doing the same thing with the axel, bad vibration and excessive pulling! I almost clipped 2 cars when it happen on the free way. Got the car to a Toyota dealership where I had to pay another $200 for diagnostics and they let me come back and record the “new axel” not fitting and having excessive play to it. Called Williams auto to resolve the issue and they said “ "As you stated you were able to drive 73 miles with no issues. If it is the axle it is covered under your warranty but it seems you have an underlying/secondary issue causing your concern. We will Not be reimbursing anything for these reasons." these people put my family’s life and other people’s life’s in danger on the road. I had to trade my car in because I’m over 380 miles away from home and can’t drive it! Would’ve been okay if they were just honest with me but they want to beat around the bush and act like it’s not their problem. I will be pursing legal actions and recommending no going to them.

Yes, new to repair shops in the area and looked on google for reviews. Williams Auto Repair was close to my job so I called them up. Customer service was good and they seemed to really make the experience good. Repair was over the holiday so had a little wait but they finished @ a responsible time frame. Had a major repair so time will tell. For the time being all seems to check out. Unfortunately this location failed to uphold my trust. And failed to do what they said they would do. Issue still persists, and a new issue occurred when taking back for a supposedly warranted part. Truck now has a leak soon after.

Took my vehicle in for a vehicle inspection; there were some issues that the Williams Auto Service team were communicative about and took care of right away. Great customer service.

Don’t trust them. I had my husband check all my lights before I came here for a state inspection and make a video of him checking the lights. I know a lot of shops that try to take advantage of younger women. they told me my light was out and showed me a video on my report. I told him I just checked it and sent them the video my husband took. They then changed my light bulb free of charge. I also the was told my taillight was cracked. So then I got the parts myself and changed everything. Then I got Covid and didn’t get my taillight crack changed within the threshold of 15 days. I got my first inspection done on October 17th. I got my second inspection done on November 8th. In those 7 days past my window of being able to get my car reinspected they found a hole in my tire, a cracked headlight and head light out. They told my husband they would take off the cracked headlight if I change the light. But how was this all not found before? I got my headlight changed myself and all the clips holding my headlight were broken like someone broke it while trying to put a broken headlight in. Anyways I will never come back here again. Lesson learned.

Had the terrible luck of getting 2x nails in 2x different tires. Luckily Williams Auto was able to take care of me, on a holiday, at 4:30pm. I was beyond grateful!!

Was told my car would be ready by the next day before my work shift at 12. They lied and didn't have my car ready, nor did they call me to inform me. My back taillight had a crack in it and despite the light still working and state police saying the light was fine as long as it lit up. They failed my inspection and want to charge me $500 despite the light fixture only costing $50. This establishment is the ultimate scam. 10/10 do not recommend visiting. After being told it wasn't ready I was told 12 minutes longer, then 20min longer. Then the front desk guy working Saturday October 18th, Starting mocking me because I was going to be late for work and proceeded to call me foolish for coming to his shop and saying he's going to purposely keep my vehicle longer now. Then refused to give me his name, how shady can a store get?

Brought my Acura in 10/6 for inspection and by far the best experience ever. The front desk associate was informative and polite. The inspection also sends you a link to inform you of recommendations and estimated costs. Great place. Great people. Great service!

Williams Auto was fantastic! The service was excellent from start to finish. They took great care of my car, were patient in explaining everything, and treated me with complete respect. It’s rare to find a shop that combines skill, honesty, and such great customer service. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend them!

The Chevrolet dealer said I needed a new transmission and quoted me about $15,000. Not many work on Volts, but Williams said they could put in a used one with a warranty for $6100. When they actually looked at the car, they discovered an issue causing my problem. They took care of it for a total of about $1200. They could have easily changed me the $6100 and I wouldn't have known the difference. Their honesty not only saved me $14,000 from the dealer's quote, but saved me almost $5000 from their own quote. We've been putting the car through its paces and it's performing like new.

I was greeted with politeness, courtesy, and respectfully. They stayed in contact by text while updating the arrival of parts, how long it would take to complete, and the issues that were found as well as giving me the option to approve or decline each find.

Great experience, car runs much smoother. Obviously, if you want 4 years to do servicing, it’s going to be expensive, but they were quicker than expected and very friendly. Treat your mechanics kindly and they will treat you kindly! Yall have earned a customer

DO NOT GET A STATE INSPECTION HERE especially if you're certain that there's nothing wrong with your vehicle. They will upcharge you by saying there's a minor issue such as steering, headlights, signal lights etc. They failed my inspection after telling me there's a bulb that needs to be replaced. I had no time for the service and they failed me. When I called back they said it was a wire that was wearing away that needed to be replaced. Is it the bulb or the wire?😂 They wanted to charge me 50+ for the labor. If you're not planning on spending more than 50 bucks for a repair, do not bother. 20 dollar state inspections do not cover the cost of their labor, so they will "charge for a minor repair" just so that they make profit or break even.

Got my state inspection done here and will be going back for any future business! I’m a 31y/o woman who knows nothing about cars and freshly moved across the country so I was hesitant looking around for shops but they’re one of the few places that does walk-ins only for this service so I gave them a go. I got there about an hr after opening and was there 3-4hrs total (there were 3 ppl in front of me already). They cleared my car mechanically but I failed due to a large crack in my windshield. They gave me a very fair quote to replace it and got me rescheduled quickly (they seemed to be very busy so might not always be the case). My next visit for the windshield took 90 mins at most and then only $1 for reinspection. Justin at the front was very warm and helpful which I really appreciated. They also have a comfortable waiting area inside with free coffee and charging station. Overall great experience, would highly recommend!

Had a great experience servicing my Mercedes here. I was able to reserve a specific day and time, received clear updates via text with options, and—most importantly—spoke directly with the advisor to go through the entire estimate over the phone. I approved most of the recommendations and declined the ones I wasn’t ready to tackle, with zero pressure. Unlike many Mercedes dealerships now, where you’re stuck clicking dropdown menus and never actually discussing the car, these guys still take the time to explain what’s needed and why. I’m tired of spending money on repairs without real conversations—this was a refreshing change. Excellent customer service, work finished on time, and the final cost stayed within my approved budget. Highly recommend.
