Short version: Friendly, knowledgeable, good work, and fair prices Long version: I took my car somewhere that will remain nameless and they wanted 1100 for 4 spark plugs and an engine coil. I found Michael online and he immediately quoted me at half the price and explained to me exactly what needed to be done and why the cost was the cost. He had my trust immediately. I took my car in two days later at 8 AM, and it was ready by 930 AM. Again at drop off and pickup he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly the car is running great. 10/10 would recommend and I will be back (hopefully not too soon!)

My friend and I were driving her daughters car while on vacation in Las Vegas. The car started to cease up and oil light went on. We limped into five star auto repair. Though they didn’t have an appointment for rack time, Bobby the owner and one other good looking mechanic came out an assessed situation with Bobby even looking under the car to confirm diagnosis. Amazing! They recommend calling the Midas shop where the daughter had just changed the oil, to come tow the car and fix what ever they did wrong. Then chatted and directed us to a great Thai restaurant to have lunch while we awaited the tow truck. Way over and above call of service. Plus the shop itself is worth visiting to see vintage cars and amazing vintage auto decor. We are recommending Hannah (age 25) go to five star auto repair from now on. Thanks Bobby!

A dying breed; I had some issues with my 57 Bel-air that I couldn't figure out so I called Five Star and spoke with Bobby. He said " Bring your car over, I'd like to see it." So I get there and was immediately greeted by him. Bobby adjusted my carburetor the old school way, no timing gun, no vacuum gauge none of that. He got my car dialed in in no time flat. It ran way better than how I had it set up and I used timing lights, vacuum gauges and pretty much everything I knew. He did it all by feel. After that, he drove my car around, did more adjustments and he took the time to show me around his shop. This guy is a great guy, honest, hardworking guy. Like I said, a dying breed. Not many of these guys around anymore. And get this...he insisted in placing those service mats in my car even though my carpet was old and worn out. The guy cared about my worn out carpet. Respect goes a long way. I'm gonna say it again....truly a dying breed.

Bobby and his team are great mechanics. If you have a old school car you know what a pain it is to find a shop that will even work on your car. Pep boys wouldn't even work on my car cause it doesn't have a computer to tell them how to fix it. I watched Bobby tune my timing by ear in front of me. Guy is a master at his craft. Car has never run better. Keep in mind since it's so well known the shop is extremely busy and your car may take some time being there. Don't try to rush the process and give them time to get to get it done right. You'll be happy with the results.

Bobby and his team are true professionals. Trustworthy and reliable. My grandfather and I took his '32 Ford Roadster for a much needed tune up. Bobby and his team went above and beyond to get things running smoothly. Highly recommended.

Rudest customer service I have ever had. Edit to respond to the owner: I called to ask about an issue on my truck. The lady who answered the phone was kind. The man who spoke over her to tell me that my truck couldn’t be looked it or worked on was rude and shouldn’t be allowed near a phone. I instead took my truck to another mechanic and have all my repairs done there. I was so happy that I recommend them to all my friends. At this point as the owner all you’ve done is solidify my want to not ever give you any business and to keep my negative review up here and share as loudly as I can about what kind of human you are. Have a day

My oil light came on and I called day of and asked if they could look at it and they said yes When I got there, they (Bobby and Mike) not only looked at my oil but they topped it off and looked at the rest of my engine too quickly, they were very helpful and thoughtful Definitely recommend

After being recommended by multiple friends, I took my Porsche 356 to 5 Star Auto…Michael & Bobby took care of my baby and made her pur like a kitten. They gave me some pointers as well on how to keep her running properly. I can now highly recommend them myself.

This place stood out to me in the night time drives back home from clocking out of work just down the street. I’ve been meaning to stop by for a while now, as I try to train my “artistic eye” and seek inspiration for personal projects… and tonight was that night that I would finally grab my camera and see what I could do with this garage that had purple neon and a couple of cool cars laying out front. I walk in, around 8pm, trying to see if there was anyone in the shop, and ask if it were possible to explore the place a little bit and snap some photos. Into the shop, arrives Bobby. I understandably startled him a little with my presence, being that it was past closing time, unbeknownst to me. I ask him, and I give praises and respect where it was due, and after a little bit of evaluation, he lets me scope the place out, not thinking much of it. He lets me walk into his area of work, and the first thing I notice is the amount of character that is radiating in the space. I stop and take it all in. The lone neon lights, smell of cigarette smoke in the air, and a wide range of equipment and tools give a sense of ambience that makes itself known, and the numerous flags and posters hung up on the wall, among other little touches, make this place a representation of the amount of time and effort Bobby and his crew put into their craft. He put a lot of time and effort into this place, 25 years to be exact, and it shows. Enough character in the place to fill up most novels. The cars that were being worked on in the shop were, in themselves, works of art in progress, and were gleaming through the night. Paired with the tree of lights at the far wall of the bay, they really display themselves as such. There were a few cars on lifts outside, and they too had a presence of their own, and the surrounding area gave the illusion of a 2nd indoor area with the night time sky. I assume the clients he gets understand his knowledge and passion on the mechanics of these machines shows in the kind of work he and his crew put themselves through in such a humble space. After I was done, we had struck up a little conversation, and with me being a aspiring musician, Bobby telling me stories about the famous musicians that he’s had the pleasure of knowing struck me near and dear to my heart. He’s built close relationships with members from bands such as ZZ TOP, Twisted Sister, and Mudvayne, and they vouch for his work, driving cars he’s worked on in pictures. Really cool. And well deserved. I showed him songs that I’ve produced, and he seemed impressed. Even followed me on social media. Score. He really didn’t have to let me in and hear the stories he had to tell, but he did, and I was amazed by it all. Chill, laid back… Cool dude. Extremely accommodating. 5 Star Auto Repair left an impression on me that is unique, and it oozes passion for the craft and is giving character back to cars within its humble walls. While it IS outside of my comfort zone in terms of personal tastes, as I’m more on the side of Import Tuners, I can respect and love any place that has one’s own personal touch to make it stand out among the rest, and this place definitely has that, and then some. It’s to be appreciated, respected, and admired. It has a story to be told, and it deserves to be told from a place of light. Cars are how I found the best people in my life, and I’ll respect the culture as such. I will definitely be coming back here to see what others stories this place has to offer, and I hope for nothing but even more success for this place than it probably already has. Definitely check it out when you have chance… And if you have some old-school American muscle that’s needs a little love, you can be rest assured that it’ll be in good hands if you decide to take it here. This place will make you feel like a badass for even walking in and admiring the tales it has to it’s name.

The day was 9/11/2025. I was frantic as I had a near miss on the highway as my car malfunctioned and almost died on the 215. I barely was able to get my car to the dealership mechanic, but they were no longer open! My car was overheating and stuttering, so I pulled into a Shell gas station, and to my luck, I found this auto shop. They were about to close their doors, but they stayed open and helped me with my car! This place, 5 Star Auto Repair, saved me and showed honesty, skill, and expertise, and they did not take advantage of my desperate situation. The knowledge they have about cars is extraordinary that no other corporate autobody shop has. I will always recommend this place. Thank you forever, and may the universe always be with this auto shop.

5 Star Auto Repair did a real good job getting my 65’ Chevy up and running. The owner followed up a few weeks later to ask if there were any issues, much appreciated. I recommend this shop.

Easily the best place to take your classic to. I can't say enough good things about them standing behind their work, doing good work and being fair with prices. They effectively, methodically and deliberately addressed very clunky and tough issues with my '67 Cadillac in a manner very few shops do, well maybe only them, in my experience. 5 Star was recommended by several others with classics & I'm very glad to use their services. Thanks.

Hands down the most competent and talented group of technicians I have ever met. They exercise exceptional care when working on your vehicle. There is a reason their shop is full of $100k plus vehicles. Honest, considerate, and proficient. I trust them to work on every one of my classics without a single moment of hesitation. Still have them work on my cars even though it means shipping them from Texas.

I would definitely recommend 5 star auto to anyone with a classic car they value. My 72 mustang has been in the family since it was new. It's been well restored, but it wasn't driven for the last 6+ years. I took it to Bobby and Mike (based on recommendations from other friends) to get it running again, and they did an incredible job. They went through the entire car to assess what needed attention, which was a lot from sitting for so long. It got a new carb, fuel pump, water pump, battery, battery connections, spark plugs, all fluids flushed and replaced, all filters replaced, flushed/cleaned fuel tank, etc, etc, etc. It's running great now. A few other issues popped up too, and Bobby and Mike took care of it! They also went above and beyond to replace/fix a few other things that didn't necessarily need immediate attention, but they cared about the car so much (and me as a customer). A few other things I really appreciated about this shop: 1 - They took great care in protecting the car. Locked it up overnight within their gates when they could. Used thick blankets to protect the paint when working on it. Taped and covered the driver seat and carpet to keep it clean from the mechanic(s). 2 - They were always friendly and available when I called with any questions, and they were thorough in answering all questions or giving updates. 3 - They returned the car detailed/cleaned....I thought this was very professional of them, and something they didn't have to do. 4 - Their knowledge and experience. Over 25 years running the shop. There's always great classic cars there getting work done. My car still needs some more work in the future, and I will be taking it back to them for new suspension, alternator, electronic ignition, and more. Thanks again for the great work Bobby and Mike!

Mike was an absolute joy to work with. They double check their work and give your baby back looking great. My corvette runs ultra smooth now and I will only be taking my vehicles there. Thanks again!

Update: Insult to the injury. My vehicle was not transported. It was brought in by me. At least you own your problem instead of trying to deflect it. Original Review: This is a place I would not even recommend to my enemies. They kept my truck for months with several different excuses and drove it daily and had an accident. They did not even let me know that they damaged my vehicle. If they were honest and upfront, I could live with it. Despite to over charging for everything at $225/hr, my vehicle has not been repaired properly. The owner Mike is like Shaggy. “It wasn’t me”. It doesn’t even worth to discuss anything except suck it and drive on.

Cruisin’ and saying “Hello” started a beautiful thing. This shop is intelligent, kind, helpful, compassionate and above all trustworthy. When car people who love wheels and octane connect, we appreciate the pain and try to help each other. That’s what makes this world a better place and 5-Star Auto lives up to their name. If I could rate higher, I would xxx R*
