This shop was either incompetent, or deliberately deceptive, while handling my car. I ran out of fuel due to a faulty gauge, and I thought it was more serious so I had my vehicle towed here. They told me they put 4 gallons of gas in, but that it was still running rough, and that I needed to get the fuel pump replaced. In reality, they put at most half a gallon in, despite charging me for four (see attached, 20gal tank). After filling it up, it's ran fine, and I've driven it ~500 miles since without issue. The part costs were ridiculously inflated. They tacked on $278 in parts costs over the OEM pricing! I got a quote from another shop for the same repairs minus the battery & it was $900. Avoid this shop if you're not knowledgeable about cars, because they will try to rip you off.

5th Avenue Auto Guys Know their Business!! The Mercedes ML350 is considered a Truck so an Aljgnment was $175, with only a 30day warranty, only place had an opening as Didn’t want to drive Vehicle any farther than necessary as I had replaced the Power Steering Box myself, (Which is Definitely Not For The Faint of Heart!!! This shop isn’t the closest one to me by far, but I decided to check it out because of the great reviews and very fair pricing … and I’m glad I did. The service was fantastic; the manager was very friendly and efficient and everyone seemed to work with an appreciated sense of urgency. I'm certain this is absolutely the best price in town for a smog check. The guys were incredibly courteous, there's a nice waiting room. They did a pre-check with me to ensure there were no obvious reasons it would fail before even starting. And it was done super quickly. I'm sure there are times where there's a wait but not when I went. I'd definitely recommend them for smog and am considering trying them for vehicle service too. Only downside is they're only open Mon-Fri so if the convenience of weekend service is top priority it won't work for you.

What a great auto repair shop! I'm so happy to have found 5th Ave Auto Service. Mitch is such a pleasant fellow and seemingly very knowledgeable about cars. A rat had chewed through my knock sensor harness, and Mitch saved me money by soldering the wires back together instead of having me purchase a new harness. So all I had to pay was an hour's worth of labor. I appreciate his thriftiness and quick repair. The shop is so clean and tidy, and there is plenty of room for a lot of vehicles. I'll be returning to 5th Ave Auto Service for sure!
