My family and 2 dogs, traveling across the country from Reno to Tennessee (towing U-Haul trailer) found ourselves with a broken axle. We went to the Ford dealer and they couldn't do anything for a few days. They gave me the number of Rob and Alise at 9th Island automotive. A half hour before they closed we limped in and they were happy to see what the problem was. They even stayed late and ordered the part first thing in the morning and we were out by noon. They're the nicest, friendliest, most honest people I've run across owning a business. I cannot recommend them enough they are absolute lifesavers! If I lived locally this would be the only place I would go.

We brought our vehicle to this shop. As soon as I saw the shop I knew I was in the right place. This shop is immaculate, you can eat of the floors. The owner does a lot of his own work. My truck needed a part that was on backorder, but the owner Rob, went above and beyond to track down a part that was out of state. We bring our truck to NY every summer and Rob performed services on my truck so we would make the trip safely. We picked up the truck last week and our truck never ran so well. Thank you Rob , for your attention to detail, your thoroughness, and your excellent service.

They are prompt and return the replaced items and show you what was wrong/broken. The jeep is running super great! The cost was less than other places had quoted. Best service I've ever received from a Auto repair shop. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Took my truck to Ford country and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my 2012 Ford F-150 and tried to get me to replace my fuel pump for $2000. And they had my truck for close to a week. Found 9th island automotive and had my truck towed there. He received my truck around noon 1pm and had it fixed and ready for me to pick up around 4pm the same day. Call this place to get your car fixed. Best experience ever. Saved me a boat load of money. I totally recommend not wasting your time calling anywhere else. Just call these guys.

Recommended to us by Ford Country for our 2004 Ford Ranger. We had a list of possible issues that we gave to the owner Rob to check out. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that everything was ok except the actuator on the AC fan, which they fixed the same day. The bill was significantly less than what we were expecting. I trust these people above any others I've tried in the area. I send friends and relatives without reservation. Great people. Great family. They do good work for a fair price. Update12/5/25: Just had service work again. It was a window regulator and the climate control system. They had it diagnosed in less than an hour. It took only 2.5 hrs, including parts delivery. And, the price was very reasonable. Seriously, I will not use anyone else for any post-warranty work. A true local family-owned and operated business. A-1 work. Great people! Oh, and they have the cutest little dogs you can ever imagine. 😉

Took our old 2006 Honda Pilot here after they were recommended by our body shop star, Oscar, at Unicar Collision, across the street. Spoke with Elise and she noted all the repairs I told her needed estimates and we left our car. She was diligent about texting us the estimates for the repairs and they had our car ready the next day. I love that the owner is the mechanic working on your car because I feel they take pride and have expertise in the repair. We have been very pleased with the level of service and the job done here and I am happy to have found a mechanic we feel we can trust and depend upon. They’re not going to be your cheapest estimate but I can assure you all our repairs were done correctly and we are confident in the value of that. Highly recommend!
