UPDATE UPDATE: found a mechanic who worked for sun auto. will do it for $1500. reach out to TONY pic below ... UPDATE: kudos to craig who reached out to me to talk about what happened. i politely declined to speak to him as i was at work and told him that i said what i had to say. and wished him a good day. for that they get 1 more star. car had been overheating and coolant escaping through the resevoir and not leaking underneath at all. figured it was either the thermostat or radiator....replaced the thermostat and figured to replace the radiator while i was at it, but realized very quickly i didnt have the proper tools so contacted sun auto and eric took it in and said i could possibly get it back same day...awesome 2 days later (closed sunday), i was told by jesse that after doing a 'pressure test' that it needed a new water pump & hoses ($3200) and that it was 'leaking profusely'. i was never informed or asked about doing any type of 'pressure test' on the car and that it was 'leaking profusely' when i took it in or even when it was overheating, only from the resivoir. he started talking over me when i would ask questions and would just repeat the same spiel over and over and telling me that i didnt get it properly diagnosed. as soon as i pressed the 'record call' button (it lets the other party know that the call is being recorded), he got very defensive and started saying that he didnt allow for him to be recorded, i simply asked him to repeat back exactly what he told me just seconds before that and kept saying that he didnt authorize for him to be recorded and any questions that were answered were very generic and vague. id be very cautious about this place. do research.

I completely trust this establishment. Yes, they are a little on high side of wait time , but for good reason. This guys are always busy, safe to ensure why. Particularly, do not know much about mechanics but cars a little bit to a certain degree. Nevertheless the front staff , understands to explain throughout what’s need for repairs on my 2003 pickup. Goes with out saying, car is older model and something else might be wrong but Big Thanks to Craig and Jessey for taking time to actually explain what’s going on with my Truck, and Erick for telling me the breakdown cost for sensors and a rebuilt. Definitely would be taking my cars back to them for future repairs.

Walked in with a rear fixable flat. Counter guy ask me the tire size before even going to look at it. Looks at it. Then hops on his computer and creates a 800$ invoice for two tires. lol I laughed and left I just wanted a plug to fix my tire what a joke of a job don’t come here all they want is you money just go to a Mexican tire shop where you won’t get scammed

11/12/25. I towed my Kia Sun Auto in Henderson. I had a flashing check engine on a 6 year old Kia. They diagnosed it and came back that I needed a new engine, there was metal in the engine. This new engine would cost between 10-14k. It didn't need a new engine and didn't have metal in the engine. It just needed a software update! Train your mechanics better or hire better mechanics that know what they're doing! What if I would of paid for that new engine or bought a new car? I don't recommend this this place. Take your car elsewhere, please.

Came in for an oil change on a 3pm appointment. At 3:30 they gave me some recommendations for what else was needed. A new air filter, brake flush, coolant flush…which I agreed to. He told me it wouldn’t take too long to do. Around 4:50 I hear them calling to find out what time the air filter would be delivered. They never let me know they didn’t have the filter in stock! I had a 5:30 appt I had to cancel. I think they should have let me know at 3:30 that they didn’t have it in stock and would need to have it sent over. Instead I sat for another 2 hrs waiting. Then I see from an email some other recommendations found on inspection that they didn’t talk to me about. Earlier I heard all the guys talking and said to James…ok you’re up, see what you can do. That’s when James called me up to tell me what is recommended. I now think they were obviously encouraging an upsell of services. I had a great experience on the oil change prior to this one, but I think I will go back to the dealer for my oil changes.

Terrible customer service and unfriendly. They misdiagnosed the issue of my car. Charged me over $3500 for my car to still have the same issue 3 months later and cost me another $1000 to fix. I was told I would receive a call from the general manager 2 weeks ago. I’ve been very patient with them and my next step is to file a complaint with the CSLB and Attorney General. This is predatory behavior and abuse of power.

The guys at Sun were great. I came back to a flat tire and fortunately they were only a block away. I am the type to do plenty of research before buying anything so I really didn't like the idea of having to get whatever tire was available without knowing what I was buying. Because of this, I tend to ask a LOT of questions. Everyone there was super helpful and took the time to answer every question I had so I could move forward without worry about my purchase. The staff was friendly and professional and as this wasn't my first time there, it just reinforced the fact that they're a good place to go when you need something for your car.

I was a bit skeptical based on the mixed reviews but honestly we had a great experience. Our car had a coolant leak and we’re from out of town and so we panicked and tried to find a mechanic open on Saturday that also had decent reviews in proximity to where we were staying while trying not to drive too far. Craig the manager is super knowledgeable and great, our car was diagnosed within an hour and he called around to try to find the part we needed and unfortunately it had to be ordered but he made sure to let us know our car would be done asap once the part was delivered. Fast forward to part delivery day Jesse was great to communicate when they would get the part and our car would be done by I think his name was Isaac by the end of the day and it sure was! We were able to drive over 8 hours back home with no issues. Thank yall so much!

We took my daughter's car in to get the water pump changed out. A day and a half later they finished it up. Less than an hour later, the car was broken down on the 215. We had to have AAA tow it back. We'll see what happens next. Needless to say, I'm pissed!! After the car was towed back, they "fixed" it. They discovered that the radiator had been punctured which more than likely caused the rest of the issues. They put a used part in as a fix and didn't charge her. Gee thanks. When she went to leave, she wanted to make sure everything was looking good and thankfully she did. Another part was not put back on the car because they couldn't find the clips and tell her. An engine cover. This was rough. I will increase it to 2 stars because they fixed the car, but I will never recommend or bring another vehicle back to this place again. Well, the car had more issues about a week later. The dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. We took it to another establishment and discovered that the sensor is actually damaged from the previous issues. I can't trust what else may have been damaged. At this point I'm feeling that I have to trade it in. Absolute B.S. Good luck to anyone who goes here. And yes, it's back to a 1 star.

I am writing to express my concerns regarding my recent experience. I had come in for an oil change, and while I had anticipated a smooth process, it regrettably fell short of my expectations. Firstly, I was disappointed that the price initially quoted for the service was not honored. Your representative informed me that a more specialized oil was required, which was unexpected and not previously communicated. Secondly, I was quoted a wait time of one hour; however, my actual wait time extended to approximately 20 to 30 minutes, which was less than expected, yet still concerning due to the inconsistency in time management. Given these factors, I feel compelled to reconsider my future patronage of your business. Establishments thrive on honest practices, including transparent pricing and realistic time estimates. Until these issues are addressed, I am hesitant to return. Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback. I hope improvements can be made for the benefit of all customers.

I typically don't have to wait to get my oil changed but it is about an hour with them juggling other vehicles. Great price on full synthetic oil change though. They told me I needed rear brakes which I knew- but the quote was outer limits. That's with calling my dealership and you know how that goes! This was even more. I would take my car back for oil changes moving forward but that's about the extent of it.
